@Goteiii The moonstone is rare. there are only 3 in the whole game, people want it for the perfect game challenge.

@kylemenos Yeah I got it too for the no lvl up challenge because you need shell to beat Black Waltz 2 at lvl 1 plus the 10000 gill really help at the begining...But other than that it's pretty useless...Anyway you get to find the other 2 and keep one in the end!The 100 noble thing is too frustrating to do without reason!

@diz90productions Yes, I was playing on an emulator. I'm not too sure about enhanced graphics =)

A Moonstone learns Beast Killer and Shell. Some people say Shell is a must to defeat Black Waltz No. 2, but I have never beat him while having Shell ^^

@xjoey77 I ran it on PC with an emulator EPSXE. There're quite a few good tutorials how to get it running with FFIX, if you look around a bit on Google!

However, you must physically own a PSOne (or 3) and the game in order to 'legally' play it on an emulator =) (The internet is a great resource, though ;))

i got 100/100 on about my 20th try but 10,000 gill is worth it for the begining of the game but if you dont get it don't worry gil will hardly ever be a problem in the game

think highest i've ever gotten was 91. i made no mistakes and pressed the right buttons as soon as blank says what to press and i have never gotten any higher. but now i just thought that maybe when you press left or right on the controller that probably slows you down a little and lowers your chances of getting a higher number.

And if you're playing on an emulator, you might want to reduce your framerate =)

Somewhere in the configuration, you can tell the emu at what frames the game should run. It'll go slower, if you reduce the framerate... It's cheating, though! xD

Out of all the times I've played this game, I've only gotten 100 twice. Definitely not easy. Requires concentration, and the more you screw up and have to do it over again, the more frustrating it gets.

Interesting fact: the amount of Gil you win after the fight is roughly equal to the square of the number of happy nobles divided by 10, unless all 100 are impressed, in which case you don't divide by 10!

Someone on a gamespot forum said to get a hundred it helps to cover up the screen.

well he's right I just did this with blue post it notes and cut the audio and turned the light of, had a fag and then.....voila 100 Nobles,

very chuffed as I never have done this before.

you get 10,000 gil and a moonstone.

p.s I got 100 with queen quite impressed, don't know anyone apart from this girl I knew ages ago who managed to get the queen VERY impressed.

I think the best strategy is to allow yourself some hesitation now and then, and make sure you actually know what buttons to press before you do anything;

delaying a second with some buttons won't stop you from getting 100/100.

@xKeyblader78 When you get control over Steiner to find Princess Garnet, you should go back to the balcony where Queen Brahne is sitting... She then will give you the moonstone, iirc =)

It's really more a matter of luck than of skill. Even if you get all the buttons right, the timing has to be right as well.

You may, or may not, notice that in the vid, after a 'left' or 'right' the 'sound' you hear when you press a button, goes off sync :(. This causes it to be really hard to time!

My higihest is 98, took me long though, I' really want 100, as I'm starting an PG soon, and need to master rope jumping to 50 and this to get 100, without 1 fail (else I have to do the rooftops again :P + if I fail at rope jumpiung I have to start the whole game over)

Hah thats great! Well, rope skipping, my advice, move with your head, gives you good rhytem, 20-25 is kinda hard to get in the rhytem again, you'll just need 50 to get the letter so.. hope this worked for you if your going to try it.

I guess I just stare at the place the command pops up and try to press it as soon as I realise what one is! On the other hand, I read somewhere there is a 'flaw' in the game wich makes the 'Left' and 'Right' commands be off-beat, so it makes it harder for them to get right.

Shame I can't give you any better advice, though!

Well, indeed I hate left/right, it confused me because the screen moves, and I think I always lose 1 point at the start (you arent concentrating yet then) I also heard something from 1whoistornapart, he can reach 9999 @ ropejumping :3, theres an trick, listen to the sound when vivi lands..
