Ever played the Demo? Ever read my description This game is 100% convertation from the X360 and is optimized for the X360 controller while Capcom didn't even remove the button tabs in the early Demo. Download the demo yourself and you'll see. I don't even own a X360 and probably never will.
Runs better? No, runs significantly slower and looks only better by the smallest minimum. I did try Windows Vista and "DX10 Lost Planet" but it wasn't playable on any front, performance kicks down by 30% from XP to Vista while the DX10 layers also consume alot of additional power.
Are you an idiot? Ofcourse I played on a PC. Read the description and play the Demo and you'll see the game is 100% from the console version at this state where they didn't even remove the console icons.
Uhm, you're the looser around here. ATi has better deals than Nvidia, everyday, with Nvidia you're finding yourself paying tons of money for the sticker and not the performance. A Crossfire setup of 2900pro will outperform any single-card solutions Nvidia got at hand, and that is for $480, even the Ultra, which is rated at $650-750
550W will work very well with a 2600XT, but for Lost Planet and in general the 2900Pro would be a better deal, especially considering it is just a few bucks more expensive as the Pro is now rated at $199.
The only reason people think that is because of a larger performance hit on the 2900XT when AA is applied, but that is because NVIDIA is still pushing their version of AA down developers' throats.
BTW, the 2900XT is far superior when it comes to image quality and that's where it really counts.
Q6600 is quite useless at the moment for gaming, a E6750 would proove better value today and to the start of next year - but still, Crossfire 2900pro and a E6750 would proove to be the best performance for the money you can possibly find.
That has nothing to do with the card then, either it is not getting enough power or the rest of your computer has AIDS. At the time this card was launched it performed 50% better in Stalker compared to the GTX, but of some reason that decreased. But there's no problem it won't get over 80FPS in stalker on 1920x1020.
2900XT is in general faster than the 640mb and 320mb, with exception for this game (Lost Planet), Prey (on standard resolutions) and Supreme Commander. The 640mb is considirably much stronger than the 320mb as the 2900Pro is cheaper than the 320mb and faster than the 640mb with a small overclocking.
I got it to have something to roll on 'til Phenom or X3, so I knew it wasn't the hottest CPU on the market, and it's not, but it works really great for the money, that's for sure. I'm getting a new CPU cooler sooner or later to clock it to 3200 or 3300mhz and get some cooler numbers.
All videocards render DVDs and Vista the same way - for Vista you'd probably need 4GB of RAM to be worth it. A 2900XT would do just fine, though I wouldn't recommend the 1GB version as the performance increase is so small.
can you PLEASE tell me how to fix up my fraps. i got fps settings at like 30, and my videos are too big too fit on youtube, will someone PLEASSSEEEE help me?!?!?!?!?!?!?
i like dis game, but the frame rate don't go to high on it... really when your recording the fps you gota use the console from the game, fraps isn't even close to the fps in the game. E.G i was playing this game,20 fraps,34 in the game console
The game isn't properly optmized, it's a direct Console-to-PC port therefor performance is rather low on most systems but those higher-en G80 systems since Nvidia is partners with Capcom, atleast for the publishment for the Demo (I'd call it a Beta). The latest Catalyst added some better performance too, but the game runs a bit bad for it's looks.
ps3 and x360 use dx9 as far as im aware, unless you meant the 360. Its just stuff like floating particles and element effects which is the most effective in dx10 like, smoke, fire, water, wind effects.
The DX10 version doesn't bring anything new in terms of visuals in but the ability to bring in more detailed shadows. Nor did it run any smoother since Vista eats 25% of the XP performance therefor DX10 is a bad deal unless you have Vista Lite or something
I don't see what's so strange with that. There's no true DX10 content nor is DX10 about anything but data effiency, not necessarily improved visuals. And the DX10 demos out right now runs sluggish thanks to Windows Vista.
games gd but would be better if it hade gore

You are correct sir. Those who say that the GTS is better, are just nVidia fanboys.
