  • Can I put this up on a skim coat wall?

  • Hi @LeighO40, the DIY Backsplash kit will work well on any flat, clean surface that does not have chemicals, oils or any residue that will not allow the mosaic to adhere. It can be applied over metal, alloy, glass, stone, drywall, plaster, tile, wood or any other non-rigid, non-oleaginous (without oil) surface.

Make sure the surface is uniform and stable before applying mosaic.

  • Hi @pakkahindostani,

Right now, the DIY Network Backsplash Kit is available at selected Lowe's and Do it Best stores, lowes.com and store.surfaces.net

If you have any other question, fell free to contact us.

  • Hi The1lowesgurl, thank you so much for your feedback.

  • These kits are amazing--just installed in my kitchen last night!! It took me about 3 hours to complete---but it looks awesome!! And this was my 1st time ever doing something like this and it was super easy-just follow the instructions!! My 1 tip would be to make sure you mark out a square line before you start, but other than that it was super easy!!

  • Great job! T-ray

  • I like this it good idea

  • Hi bluefiya, you're right. This is a totally different product. It's made of real glass mosaic tiles. If you have any other question, fell free to contact us.

  • This is NOT the same as the new stick on "smart tiles" are they? Just checking - they are REAL glassy tiles? thanks

  • Depending of the type of texture you have you will be able to install it with no problems. If you want, you can contact us on the website you have on the video, and send a photo of your texture wall. We will be happy advise you.

  • Just wondering if this kit works on textured walls? Thanks to anyone that can help!!!

  • Hi, thank you for your question. The tile is not recommend for wet areas such as showers and pools and bath tubes, other than that the tile and the adhesive technology performance is very good. To improve the performance on areas where the presence of water is frequent, you should caulk the edges like in any regular backsplash installation.

  • How does the tile stand up to moisture?
