I was a PS1 and 2 gamer, had them for a while and never liked the controllers but I got them for a song so I didn't dump them. The xbox controller always was more comfortable and easier to use.
I just got the controller and noticed its smaller than a oem ps3 controller. Just a rubitone finish and the left analog stick keeps getting stuck in the up position. Very precise aiming though. Totally agree they should have kept the left analog in the ps3 position then it would be a lot better
they made it because the 360 layout is statistically more precise than ps3 cont. not saying its a dramatic difference and it does vary per person. i personally hate the ps3 controller for FPS. its like trying to play fighting games like street fighter on both xbox and ps3 controllers. the buttons are just too odd to play precise, which is why they made arcade sticks for more precise controls.
I will be getting that controller.. I already have 2 original ps3 controllers and this will be something different and looks nice.. Especially the gun metal and carbon fiber. Also the price is exactly the same as a normal ps3 controller. So get over it guys and stop being fanboys.
Have you tried EA Sports comfort pack attachment for your default controller? For me who has gotten used to 360 controller it solved every problem. Also much more modest looking.
@CampKillYourself5432 Well I got this new PDP controller and I regret it BIG time.. it's not as precise as the original PS3 controller, loses signal sometimes and my hands get cramped up after playing couple hrs.. my left middle-finger went numb for 2 days cuz of this.. And worst part is I can't even return it cuz Gamestop doesn't refund opened packages... -_- oh well if you still haven't bought it, then Don't.. it's not the controller you want for FPS games.. Only thing I like is the Design

@ACEAbridged xbox is erganomic, ps3 is more likely to give you carpal tunnel syndrome, that is tested fact, and the buttons are only clunky if you have the hands of a 12 year old, and the triggers are not awkwardly placed cause they are real triggers, like on a gun, which can be pressed al the way in, not a trigger shaped button
