Sorry to correct you V1 is the speed at Which u must decide to abort or continue. After V1 you must leave the ground what ever because you don't have enough distance to stop V r is rotation the speed you begin to lift the nose and leave the ground. V2 is a climb safety speed. It is a speed Which you can climb safely if an engine fails.
thank u for describing what everything actually does.. i know how to use an FMC but didnt really know how what the abbreviations meant.. like what the ratio was for cost index.. what is divided by what exactly.. what thrust reduction and climb means.. what engine out acceleration means.. good job.. the best tutorial out there
actually v1 is the speed where you have enough runway to stop the plane and v2 is the speed you have to take off because you dont have enough runway to stop
hey, there...have a question...how is it possible to display the charts you're using for your route while you have the simulator running? Adobe Reader?
QantasFan747, you can tell from the IDENT page in the FMC. Line 1 on the right side shows the engine type. This tutorial shows -80C2B5F which is GE. PW would be PW4062 and RR would be RB211-524G.
V2 is the minimum engine out climb speed, NOT the speed at which you lift off from the runway.
