  • V2 is the minimum engine out climb speed, NOT the speed at which you lift off from the runway.

  • Will the PMDG 747 work well on a laptop??

  • do you do the same even if your not using autopilot for the whole flight???

  • hey.. 1 of my PMDG 747 EICAS showing EPR/N1/EGT...

the normal is like yours N1/EGT.

is there any way 1 can change that ?

  • Nice video and congrats... How do u setup the trim...I've tried right and left mouse click but nada..

  • hi good tutorial. how do you set your fuel to what you want it to be? please answer!! :) thanks

  • Why is it when i put my runway example runway 06 in the fmc the runway is not displayed..

  • can you tell me where you get those charts from please?

  • Sorry to correct you V1 is the speed at Which u must decide to abort or continue. After V1 you must leave the ground what ever because you don't have enough distance to stop V r is rotation the speed you begin to lift the nose and leave the ground. V2 is a climb safety speed. It is a speed Which you can climb safely if an engine fails.

    Nice video so far

  • where did you get that map with all the waypoints one? I really want it

  • thank u for describing what everything actually does.. i know how to use an FMC but didnt really know how what the abbreviations meant.. like what the ratio was for cost index.. what is divided by what exactly.. what thrust reduction and climb means.. what engine out acceleration means.. good job.. the best tutorial out there

  • how do you get the chart??? plss answer

  • berfore my pmdg finded ogin1w and that things now its not its just finding spy2w and pam2w and lopi2w and lekk2w please help

  • How do u make it follow the speeds in the LEGS window?

  • actually v1 is the speed where you have enough runway to stop the plane and v2 is the speed you have to take off because you dont have enough runway to stop

  • hey, there...have a question...how is it possible to display the charts you're using for your route while you have the simulator running? Adobe Reader?

  • QantasFan747, you can tell from the IDENT page in the FMC. Line 1 on the right side shows the engine type. This tutorial shows -80C2B5F which is GE. PW would be PW4062 and RR would be RB211-524G.

  • Are you a real pilot? You did well! I have learned a lot. Thank you

  • you are very thorough and infomative with your tutorial unlike others...well done

  • for me this is probably the most important tutorial in this series better yet all of youtube

  • how do you trim???

  • I set buttons on my joystick for elevator trim up and down.

  • use 7 n 1 in the keypad

  • thanks, but u have to pay to get the charts (N)

  • can u use the gps system that is usally on defualt airplanes and put all the waypoints from the gps into the fmc? PLEASE REPLY BACK

  • The FMC is better once you're used to it.

  • Meloescher, just want to say thank you for the informative and thorough lesson with the take off procedures and use of the FMC. Marc Anthony
