  • when was this flight? Because I was the second officer flying this route about a week after this was posted on here

  • @Conze22 11th July 2009

  • i went on EZY7221 to SXF, i have to admit it was an amazing flight! Well done pilot.

  • Im going easyJet next month, so exicted never been with them before

  • whats that strange noise at the end of the video, is it the baggage handlers outside???

  • 4:22

  • great video. i like the arriving at the gate sound. is that the brake applying sound??

  • @flightsimulatorXpert you can buy snacks on all routes.

  • what was the flight like?

  • @roryj123ok Good

  • what are that strange sounds at the end of video? I could hear these noises when starting the engines and switching them off in some airbus. is it the hydraulic system? the apu?

  • did an engine shut down at 5:09 ?

  • @seamcon15 Yes-single engine taxi procedure is quite common.

  • Does anyone know if you can buy snacks, drinks and beverages on board for the copenhagen - stansted route???

  • the noise from 5.08 onwards is the APU starting

  • @easyjeta319 do easyjet not use GPUs because of the quick turnarounds?

  • very nice video. Which seat were you sat at?

  • @easyJetAirbus 16F in description

  • @jackd166 my apologies, thanks for the reply

  • Dog barks at the end of the video!

  • I've always heard that noise at 8:41 never knew what it is, does anyone know?

  • @rubeno88

    Hey dude

The noise you hear at 8:41 is the APU (Auxilary power unit)

This is a power unit used when the engines are off. This will power the lights on the airplane and give the airplane a source of electricity. This will get turned on when the airplane has landed. The noise is the swith over. You will also hear this when the airplanes engines are starting up. You can hear the power unit with the same noise when it is going to be getting powered by the engines.

    Hope it helps :)

  • @fsx757rules Not quite-it's the power transfer unit (PTU) which is part of the hydraulic system and basically balances the hydraulic pressure betwewen the blue and green systems when they differ by a set amount (which I can't recall off the top of my head).

  • @Cat10980 Correction between yellow and green systems when there is a 500psi difference!

  • @Sterlingjob Thanks-it's been a while. Yellow/green mix up is inexcusable but I did have a feeling it was 500 psi. Cheers.

  • @fsx757rules Stick to your computer games sonny....

  • Great video, thanks for sharing!.

  • Nice vídeo, great capture.

  • hey which seat is that ?

  • NICE video!!!

  • it's been a while since I flew from Stansted

  • lol i know it sounds straing but i have never been on an airbus! i fly with either Ryanair , Jet 2 or Monarch!

  • nice landing very low clouds tho and i thought that was runway 05?

  • Nice video, just a small correction though. The runway was 23 not 22

  • It changed to runway 22. Its been runway 22 for a while.

  • Just off one today, landed at Belfast International from Charles De Gallues

  • Nice landing!

  • The noise you can hear including the barking is the PTU its basically hydraulic pumps and is quite common on the airbus

  • @caf86 Exactly. It's the power transfer unit, which transfers energy between the two main hydraulic systems when there is a pressure difference above a set limit. It's mounted on the aft wall of the main gear bay. Anytime there is a large hydraulic usage (flaps, gear, brakes etc.) there's a chance you might hear the PTU doing it's stuff. You'll also hear it on engine start when there's only one system running.

  • Thank you very much for sharing. This is indeed a very nice video. At least until I saw the fucking Ryanair planes. But this is not your own fault. Of course. Finally you wasn,t able to make Ryanair unimaginable. Thank God you used EZY for your flight.

  • Whats that noise at 5:08 onwards

  • Something to do with Aircraft trim? I think

  • Sorry I thought you were talking about the barking noise. Im not sure what that noise is.

  • @jackd166

That barking noise is the PTU of the airbus, its bassically an electricity system/hydraulic power

  • @jackd166 The sound you heard is the notorious barking caused by the Pneumatic Transfer Unit. It is active when only one of the hydraulic circuits is pressurized and serves to equalize pressure. And yes, it is quite normal.

  • @jackd166 It's Engine 2 shut down. It makes that noise for some reason but when aircraft land they normally switch one engine off to save fuel.

  • @jacobs088 The "barking noise" is the PTU; system that transfers power between the green and yellow hydraulic system. during taxi-in engine nr 2 is often shut down wich powers the Yellow hydraulic system. Therefore the Yellow system now needs to be electricly powerd by an elyctric pump. And that's the high pitch noise you hear 5:08 onwards.

  • Ohhh, brilliant

    Thanks

  • @jacobs088 the sound is from shutting one of the engines down and taxiing on the other i believe its the PTU the sound throughout

  • even a fedex md11 very nice vid 5*

  • what about the warnings regarding electronic devices powered on during landing???

  • thats only things that emit stuff such as wifi. A camera can do shitall to the plane

  • How much was the ticket?

  • £77

  • Nice video, even a bit of editing! The landing was amazingly smooth.

  • Nice landing

  • @EIEZY

  • Wow ! Such a great capture, well done man, an amazing video, you should be proud of it :) 5*

  • Thanks alot. Video still processing so video quality should improve

  • woah, i'll watch it again when it's in HD :)

its great quality already ! :O

  • I love a cloudy descent!
