I scuffed mine with a grey scotch brite (grey pad) and used Createx airbrush paint with my airbrush. Waited till it dried. Then sprayed clearcoat from home depot on them waited 30 mins and sprayed another coat of clear. Then took a heat gun to it to dry it faster. (don't hold the heat gun close you could melt the trim or bubble up your gloss and paint. Just like a hair dryer. Hold it far but enough u can feel it. Then let it cool down an dry some more for a hour or 2 then you should be good.
i will be making another video of what the car looks like as of now, painted bowties, 1st gen projectors, 18 enkei ekm3 rims and trifecta tune. i have ss springs that i just bought..and before anyone says anything negative they where basically free so i took them, will be putting them on later.
@TheFastSS sho it without da music and do it step by step im trying to da da holl iterior in my car im doin to color black and gray and what you do before you spray .whats type of cleaner kit u use
hey..you dont want gloss on yer dashboard if you are thinking of painting it..as believe me, once you drive out in the sunshine, the dashboard will dazzle you...BAD!
@ViViDxVIKING the lt is not the cheapest version. the ls is defiantly cheaper than the lt. You should get your info right before you start talking shit
see u lucked out with your car because the panels are already smooth lol so u can make it perfectly glossy with a lil wet sanding
but with my s10 it has the textured panels so u gotta use filler primer, body filler, or just sand the hell out of it, lot more work but yours turned out really nice
i took it to a body shop. he used the same Victory red paint that is on the outside of my car, baked it at 300-400 degrees, and put 3 coats of clear on it. he did mine for $75. you can do it yourseelf...but i say take it to a pro. and have it done the right way.
Looked better before..
