@fanadiana This song was originally from In Trousers, and it appears on that cast album (Alison Fraser knocks it out of the park, too). To make Falsettos they combined the scores of March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland, and threw in this song from In Trousers for good measure. None of the material was re-recorded, however; so it's Alison Fraser's performance that we have on CD and not Barbara Walsh's.
I saw Barbara Walsh in Company (I was two when this video happened) and knew there was more to her than just acting like a drunken woman past her prime. This video is exactly what I was looking for. She is awesome. Thank you!
Wow! I haven't seen a good video of this song since earlier this year I played in the orchestra. Would have loved to see this on Broadway but I was a baby. lol And this song isn't in my cast recording? Every single dress rehearsal and performance I'd say "WOW" after this song. The whole almost 6 minutes of it!
I've been searching everywhere for this song recorded by Barbara Walsh, but to find this video was even better. Saw her do this on Broadway in the original and have never forgotten it--there was flour and other ingredients flying off her baking table and the emotion she put into the performance made you realize the show was about a lot more than just the leading men.
Thank you so much for posting this! I saw Barbara Walsh perform this on Broadway. Amazing. I saw this on TV as well. I remember wishing I would have been near a VCR to record it.
THANKYOU so much for posting this. It is from the Joan Rivers talk show that was on in the early to mid 90's. I remember seeing this and wishing I would have recorded it. I saw her do it on Broadway. Amazing.
Thank you for finding this and sharing it! I've been trying to find a vid of her performing this for years. It stopped the show when I saw the show years ago.
I saw Barbara at Broadway, I don't think I will ever see another such a convincing number.

Thank you so much. From what I believe to be the best musical ever written.

Ah! This is phenomenal! Does anyone have any idea why this was excluded from the cast recording?

@Rekidk: I taped this from a short-lived day-time talk show, the name of which I can't remember. It was when the 1992 B'dway production was running.
