But I would say to them that Kobe did go berserk this year and ended up scoring about 2,832 pts. I believe, but only Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan have scored 3,000 pts. in a season. So even though Kobe scored 81 and dropped 50 + on several occasions, he still didn't catch up to Mike's 3,041 pt. season in 86'-87' (37.1 ppg)

I have to give Kobe props for this performance. Many people say he is better than Michael Jordan because his career high for pts. in a game is 81 to Michael's 69. But I would say to them that Kobe did go berserk this year and ended up scoring about 2,832 pts. I believe, but only Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan have scored 3,000 pts. in a season. So even though Kobe scored 81 and dropped 50 + on several occasions, he still didn't catch up to Mike's 3,041 pt. season in 86'-87' (37.1 ppg)
