  • my godfather known jari very good... and jari is one of my idols

  • Does anyone have the complete video for these playoffs? It was called Quest For The Silver Dream.

  • @RedPaladin yes

  • In NHL official facebook page...is Who's the best, Themu Selanne or Jari Kurri, for me...Kurri, maybe Selanne is am actually player and this is the "extra point" but Kurri is exceptional...

  • Jari Kurri made waynes career.

  • @pen39 and wayne also made he`s career. they were ment to be together on ice and rule the hockey world:) but he really is hero in here Finland.

  • He looks like an awesome player, too bad i'm not old enough to remember watching him play hockey.

  • Jari kurri was a great Oiler and King

  • nice quality

  • Jari Kurri has once again scored!

  • it wood have been nice to have him in line up against Minnesota in 91 playoffs.

  • @jayhawk88z Minnesota still would have won that series. They spanked the oilers in 5. And its not as if kurri was Gretzky.

  • True. But truth be told the OILERS were way too worn out from the 7 game war with Calgary in the 2nd round. Minnesota won fair and square, but the Oilers couldn't deliver their best. Too banged up.

  • @mikmicals

The oilers played the Flames in round 1 that year. They played the Kings in round 2. That series went 6. Minnesota's 2nd round series with St.Louis went 6 aswell. And their 1st round series with Chicago went 6 too. Being banged up and tired wouldnt have had anything to do with it. Minnesota was just better.

  • @tjcurrie no my friend they played the Jets in the round 1

  • @jayhawk88z My original comments were regarding the 1991 playoffs. Not the year in the video. In 1991 the oilers played Calgary, then Los Angeles, then Minnesota. In 1990 they played Winnipeg, Los Angeles, then Chicago and then Boston of course in the final. I remember watching the series vs the Jets in 1990. I stayed up and watched Dave Ellett's OT goal that put the Jets up 3-1 in the series. Then they blew it unfortunately.

  • he was a very tough guy! much better than selänne and saku koivu!!!

  • @topo567 Kurri is a legend, but so is Selänne, and Koivu is not so bad either :)

  • If you ask anyone who the leading goal scorer was for the 89-90 Oilers in the playoffs, they will guess either Anderson or Kurri. Wrong. It was Craig Simpson. 16 goals. And he played on the second line lol.

  • The Oilers were technically underdogs in the 1990 final. But they played like anything but. Remember Ranford gave up just 8 goals in 5 games (actually more like 6 complete games if you include the 3OT in game 1). And the Bruins were outshooting the Oilers by quite wide margins. I didnt see the whole final. I only have the first game in my collection but I would definitely say Ranford was the key incredient to winning. Second Messier. Third: Kurri.

  • Great video, but the title is incorrect- this would've been the 1990 Playoffs

  • oops i better change that

  • he is awesome
