He's playing along with the drums, there's a few splashes he doesn't hit and the hi-hat and tom section is a little obvious he playing along to the c.d, good though , I suppose.
@jizzledafrizzle If you look really closely its actually just the opening and closing of the hi hats, coming from a proffesional this is legit and very well done

absolutely brilliant drum sound there! crisp, and clear, but not too artificial or compressed. recording is true to what the drum kit would sound like live, just with unwanted resonance and noize masked. great effort! i'd love to get my drum recordings to sound like yours!
