Ebay screws buyers too. I bought a purse that was junk. The seller would not give a refund. The case was taken to the Resolution Center. They promised a full refund and sent a packing slip. The packing slip has UPS and USPS written on it. I took it to USPS - and it didn't get posted until UPS got it. Well, that was 1 day too late and I was issued NO REFUND. I am a long-term buyer with NO negative feedback. Ebay does not respect their sellers or buyers.

Buyer requirements. If you can have not too strict buyer requirements, state them in your description, and find EVERY loophole and detail in eBay's policies/policy then you can get everything done the way YOU want. Good heads up!. I dont deal with any company that outsources my support call ( i am in the UK). Firstly its a security risk (paypal call centre has already been found to have "lost" customer data which found its way into the hands of organised crime). Secondly, I pay at a rate relevant to the UK. I expect a service relevant to me. Not someone who has no ability to help or relate to me in any way. (paypal callcentre india is a great example) Sad Ebay also gone down the same slippery slope.

Mr CrazeeNY, No offence meant but common sence would dicktate that what you pay in REDICULOUS fees monthly, you could set yourself up quite well with a PRO website and have $ left over to advertise. I also was a Victom of EVILBAY but had enough amd set up with personal website and even adver with Google and yahoo for less than what I paid those bastards every month and now am making 3x what I did. Ever since buyers could no longer get feedback, I've found that the higher the feedback, the worse the buyer is now. Buyers with high feedback can commit credit card fraud for every transaction and get away with it. Whereas eBay lets them but a 0 feedback buyer can't get away with anything.

For every 1 buyer who gets a refund from some bad merchandise, there's 100 that use the refund system to scam sellers.  You basically need an escrow system that inspects every single good and guarantees all funds or somebody can get ripped off and that costs too much for cheap goods.

eBay told me...

Next time when you have a buyer that doesn't pays, esp. when they tell you they're not paying for whatever reason, just issue the buyer a mutual transaction cancellation. You'll get your FVF back an no one loses anything. Then block the bidder so they won't get screwed over by that person again.

Other sites can be successful if ebay sellers quit ebay cold turkey. You can't expect to have another auction site to be sitting there waiting for you. You have to commit and help it. Sticking around and taking abuse doesn't help the cause. I like bonanzle. It's easy to list, and membership is growing. I'm only an occasional seller. I'll buy direct from an online store, bonanzle, amazon, etc. No more ebay. They don't deserve my support. I was dicked over too, but won't let them do it again.
