@shadow36711 The cars go faster if you tap the A button instead of holding it. In this case, I was tapping at the optimal rate of exactly once every forth frame which is faster and more precise than what humans can do. If you used a turbo controller to tap at the same speed, you would go just as fast on an actual console.

I don't see why splits are a relevant concept in the context of a TAS. Moreover, they could easily be derived from the video itself providing I hadn't already beaten this time which upon a brief observation of my uploaded videos would reveal this to be unlikely at best.

Easy. Just tap A once every forth frame exactly + 10 bananas + TT.

I mean you press the A button for exactly one frame and then wait exactly three frames until you press it again. This is the best way to do it but you will still get a speed boost by tapping it normally.

I believe you lost time at the drift of the still from this video, on the 3rd lap, after the first zipper

You didn't take the turn tight enough to run a shorter route overall, resulting in a faster time

Of course, some other minor "flaws" might not tie it with the 2nd lap, but it might be faster too

The thing about this game is that lag plays a role in your speed and certain things that may look faster may not be in reality. That said, this video is not perfect and I will redo lap 3 to see if it can be beaten.

On every forth frame. Everything I did prior to this video was every third frame (in the car, that is). The mechanics are different for the other vehicles.

It always seemed to me quite faster than just reering immediately, plus, getting one extra banana than 10 seems to do a better job, I think the system perceives it as a 10+ rather than just a 10.
