@LaughsatVideos the CAS is there to protect children. Had it not been for them, my children would have continued to be starved and beaten. Although I will admit that the system is far from perfect, as a foster parent, I know that most of the social workers I have worked with do always have the best interest of the child at heart, and they try very hard to reunite them with their family. I am thankful to have the CAS, without them, my children would probably be dead by now.

@whateveruthk To answer your question you asked.The rules of being a foster parent is you can not take in your own siblings.Once a child is removed from the home they go to a none family members home and them adoptive out.

CPS will not allow family member to take in siblings.it's just how they work.

Example: your children are taken by CPS,they go to a different family,none of your members can have them.

My aunt and their grandmother are sisters, so where I live DHS tries to place within the family first and then look at non family foster homes, until the time (if it comes) the kids can be reunited with their birth parents.

im a aussie foster carer , we always work hard for them to see there birth parents, when safe to do so, as a foster carer i see the other side, i can say i have never had a child stay with me in the past 10 years that didnt need to be in care, they need a lot of complants about a child being in danger, and proof before a child is removed, and here they work hard to get the kids home with there real familys, also they try to place the child with family members first, before foster carers

I Have A 10 Month Old Nephew Who Is In Foster Care, He Been In Foster Care Since He Was 6 Months Old. @CPSSucks PART 2 showed that we were VERY good and we never had a single complaint. Our new adoption worker was on a power trip and accused us of potentially having Maunchausens (sp?) because we had so many hospital trips with our foster children because of an outbreak of Influenza. I fought them SO BAD, and she got in a load of trouble, and we got a formal apology.But there really are some nasty people who work there, but it's THEM who cause problems..not the entire agency

Children are not pulled form their bio-family for no reason. There are in home serves that are available to keep the family in tact and when those fail, the kids need to be removed for their own safety and well being. Things have to be pretty bad for kids to be pulled from their bio-home and put in the foster care.

I don't know about where you come from, but kids in Texas are always put with family FIRST. They even have this thing called "fictive kin" someone who is a friend of the family that the kids might call "aunt and uncle" that are really not related at all. I attended a round table type meeting where 14 people all for these two children were meeting. The asked the mom if she knew anyone the kids could stay with, but they all had records or she didn't want them staying with them.

Actually under the current legislation States do not receive federal funding for relative guardian placement, so there is disincentive to place with family and INCENTIVE to place with licensed facilities. The law might change this year to allow for federal funding for relative placement under S.3038 at the Federal level. Also, I have reviewed several cases where cps, foster care, etc have lied. There were reports where social workers in Kentucky exposed the system last year on my youtube account

I am a foster care case manager, my kids have been severly abused. We do everything we can to return them to their parents or to family, but sometimes it is not possible. It is horrible some the things that I have heard done to these children. Foster care is meant to protect and help children. And no its not a perfect system, but it does the best it can. Foster care is not right for my daughter Sabrina either. She was put in foster care just because she lost some weight at birth and had to go into the hospital for failure to thrive. All we needed was a little more help and guidance from competent medical professionals, which would have helped us to get her wieght under control.

Fact: all healthy babies loose some weight after birth and many children are diagnosed with failure to thrive who are actually healthy, this is why we have a thing in our country called a second opinion.
