  • windows 7 is decent sooooooo much better than vista its like xp with a shiny cover haha

  • But, Only Snow leopard will have crash resistance?

well shit, I get Crash Resistance already from XP or 7, Though I actually would say Firefox/Waterfox is the one that does that

I dunno, since thats actually based from the browser. If for instance I go into task manager and kill my plugin-container process, It will display a plugin failure window just like that, all the rest of the windows function properly

  • hmmm.. so I have alot of issues with this video, for instance, he badmouths Windows so much, yet theres almost as many videos explaining how to get windows xp or 7 onto your macbook

That said, He didn't compare Safari's acid3 to the other 2 (Main) browser's acid's, just IE, Microsoft already knows Nobody really liked IE, and favored other browsers, they'd don't focus on getting that up.

  • i want to have all control over my fucking system and with your shitty os you cant do a custom shit to it. So shame no mac for me again

  • MAC has that i think.... uneed to type your pass to continue...

  • DLL'S is the best i can make cracks haha! on regedit i can remove my activation and activate it with a genuine license haha! that's why windows is the best!

  • UAC is the something on Windows 7 and Vista that you don't have to keep typing password when you installing something on your Mac. Get it?

  • hahaha he's got a retarded voice

  • my UAC is off :)

  • There is no 10:30 lol

  • I don't know about everyone, but safari sucked for me. I prefer chrome, it's at least 5 times faster, not even exaggerating.

  • Another mention, in 6:11; what's the point of that feature? Mac doesn't even provide Tablet computers at all.

  • @ 6:11,

Mac OS X Snow Leopard copied Windows 7/Vista of that.

You can get that feature in accessories.

  • how bad is your OS so only think you can say about it is how bad are the other OS.... bite me Steve I bought Windows 7 :P

  • The registry is another non-issue. It's a centralized database of configuration settings. Many OS X applications leave settings all over the place due to a lack of similar feature.

So remind me, did Apple deliver on including ZFS support?

Does Snow Leopard implement ASLR for security purposes?

Can I play back Blu-Ray discs without additional software using an external drive?

How about TRIM support for my SSDs?

    No?

  • The user should never have to hold 6 and 4 at startup to actually use a 64-bit kernel.

DLLs are not a bad thing, they're shared libraries, and most issues regarding implementation have been solved by the Windows on Windows subsystem.

UAC is no different than being prompted by OS X for root access for administrator tasks.

HFS+ is not immune to file fragmentation. At least Microsoft admits it with NTFS and ships a way to deal with it.

  • @manjyoumethunder

Registry and DLL are the big bosses of instability.

There is a far distance from UNIX permission system to the UAC.

Nobody from the keynote said that the HFS+ is immune to fragmentation, but this file system isn't so susceptive that you can ignore this maintenance task saving your HD use.

  • They just waste time bashing Windows. When your product is so good, you actually hurt your image exaggerating the negative points about the competition. I like their presentations when they only focus on their new features, that's what I actually came to see you for!

  • Well, Windows Vista and 7 automatically run defrag on a schedule, so the average end user does not have to worry about it. Research fail. I really don't get what's wrong with DLLs and the Registry. I'll concede the point about the User Account Control being annoying, but you must understand that Windows computers are more widely used and attacked while nobody cares about breaking into a Mac. I like Macs, and think their products are good enough to not have to resort to bashing other companies.

  • @mexchico17 ''Well, Windows Vista and 7 automatically run defrag on a schedule, so the average end user does not have to worry about it'' - The Windows's file system is very susceptive to fragmentation, the system becomes slow when this task is ignored. I don't think that the Windows' program can meet a good solution to that, the task scheduler isn't smart.

''nobody cares about breaking into a Mac'' - There are many who wanna be the first creators of a Mac virus that can destroy the system.

  • @limusturim Well, you are right about one thing, I should rephrase that last statement: Nobody has been able to infect Mac computers, or at least not en masse like it happens with Windows computers. And it is also true that the Windows file system is indeed prone to fragmentation, but what I meant by saying that people don't have to worry much on newer systems is because the task is enabled by default to run every week. The only drawback to that setup is that users need to leave their pc's idle.

  • mac still had kexts , terminal , spin ball of death

  • shut up u french fuck, before u say that vista is like 7 u should check em out first, u dumb shit

  • i bet fuckng os 10 was programed in windows

  • Everything Apple makes is thought-through, efficient and ultra high quality.

But somehow, Windows 7 is still better than OS X.....not from the performance, but from the easiness, the structure, the beautiful UI and the compatability.

  • according to 1:30, no end user should ever have to worry about that disk defragmenter.

The end user should also never have to hold down a key on the keyboard to right click/drag or whatever.

  • @skotters

That's nonsense. If you start comparing, compare software to software, not software to hardware. But whatever, if you prefere separate buttons all over your laptop, well, that's your choice. Apple thinks different, and I'm happy they too. Compare the MacBooks design to a random Windows laptop on the market.

  • @skotters pretty sure thats bullshit what you said

  • lol, i loved this dude when he talked bout vista, now i love him while he talks bout 7

  • Comment removed

  • @PutraVFX u suck balls

  • I have a mac and windows 7 in my laptop and my laptop is fast as hell i can play any game without problem i dont have compability issues i love it really i love it i do my music and my girlfriend school videos and that kinda thing on the mac and is good i love it is so easy :D but for a everyday use i like more windows 7 and windows 7 isnt in any kinda of way the same as vista vista suck suck suck big time :D

  • is he german or french??

  • @zozlimits French

  • I hate the arrogance of Apple employees and fanboys. I like Apple products, but I wish they would stop being so smug. I love Windows 7. For a main computer, I would choose Windows over Mac any day.

  • @RobinScott93 thats just cuz ur stupid, and dont listen to the facts

  • @THEMAN9851 Haha. Very good. XD

  • google chrome 5 is much much faster than safari

  • @RyoAndBaron apparently not *laughing*

  • he's been paid to show all the good things about apple and bad things about windows 7, apple are too expensive for the average people, and they recon they can out live windows by up to 3 years. how do they know that when the iMacs have only been around for like 3-5 years. and windows 7 lasts a good time for the price. its better to buy a windows 7 over 3 times for say 900£ altogether than buy a mac that will last the same amount of times you rebuy windows, macs are like 1000£. get windows

  • I fucking hate this guy, he embodies apple to the tee. Arrogant with no reason to be.

  • DLLs? The Registry? Disk defragmentation?

DLLs are just software libraries. The Registry is the same fucking thing as the OS X 'defaults' system. Windows Vista and 7 have automatic defragmentation.

Bertrand Serlet knows better than to say bullshit like that, but he does since, well, it's fucking WWDC (aka Apple FUD time)

  • I bet this guy hasn't even used windows 7, I bet he'd like it's speed

  • @BoeingCentral windows fail

  • 30 years in the business, Junk Leopard is what I call it

  • O.O? I liked window 7? Whats wrong with it. They are literally complaining about window 7 being too complicated. Leopard just looks good but other than that it sucks. Lets be honest, Apple will never beat Microsoft in OS.

  • @KellyRuleszzzz Man, you need to learn about computers. If you think Windows 7 beats Snow Leopard, you probably need to look up the fact that Snow Leopard OS X beat Windows 7 in every benchmark but 3D gaming. Apple will never beat Microsoft in OS? Yeah, right. They already have beat Microsoft in the quality of their OS. I'd rather use a Mac than a PC any day.

  • @edito777

Like what did they do? Really? First off I should say I have a PC running vista and my parents 7 so I'm familer with both, and if you notice what Microsoft is trying to sell is the snap feature (whoop-dee-doo) and things that mac OS X already have, like fast boot up ( which still isn't fast on 7) or easy sharing like to monitors and computers it's not a break through, it's just an update. Windows vista 1.3 if you ask me

  • All of that stuff he said users shouldn't look at, they don't have to. It's for more advanced users. Where as with OS X they restrict everything because the only people using them seem to be retards.

  • great accent this guy really knows what he is talking about

  • I love reading all these fanboys' (and girls') comments. Both operating systems have their ups and downs, neither is perfect! Matter of fact, both are far from perfect, but I still use and love both for what they can give me.

  • He's missing out on the things Microsoft DID do right with Windows 7. There are tons of small improvements over there as well and it is undoubtedly better than Vista, and in some aspects, in times. This is the thing I don't like about Apple. I don't see anyone complaining with Windows 7 for legitimate reasons.

  • the strength of OS X is the fact that it only runs in apple devices...which means its a full hardware-software integration....OS X is designed to run on macs....windows is not designed to run on a very specific system.

  • Contradicting prick! Windows 7 is Windows Vista according to him but OS X Leopard is not same as Snow Leopard.....

  • @Shexo

You're not getting it smartass. Yes, Snow Leopard is based on Leopard just like 7 is based on Windows Vista. He never denies any of that. But that's not the point. The point is that building on top of a strong foundation (Leopard) is good, but that building on top of a weak foundation (Vista) is NOT good. Do you get it now? Microsoft should start over, build something new instead of keep fixing their mistakes and calling it a "good" OS.

  • @Sven88bac Or by building on top of a weak foundation (no denying that) you can patch the holes and fill the cracks of the foundation. (Like they did in windows 7)

  • @Sven88bac Vista's problem was that it was too much of a departure from XP, leading to compatibility issues, and that it was full of bugs. 7 fixed both of those problems and added several useful features no other OS has while increasing performance. This vid is all marketing. If sliding a bar is "complex" to a Mac user, then Mac users must be mentally retarded.

  • @NDogg15 Lol exactly

  • @BoeingCentral Notice how he didn't respond to me.

  • @NDogg15 lol :)

  • @Sven88bac Though I love watching Apple and Microsoft (and now Google) take shots at each other, if Apple marketed their OS in an open environment like Microsoft their job would've been several magnitudes harder. So maybe Apple should be more understanding of the effort Microsoft puts into Windows. After all, they're the ones hiding behind closed gates while Microsoft deals with the rest of the cyber world.

And btw I am not a fanboy of Microsoft or Apple. I love and hate 'em equally :)

  • @Sven88bac See, now you're not getting it. That would cripple Microsofts business, because it would no longer allow them to keep true compatibility with older applications.

  • @Sven88bac From my experience, Vista is actually quite a strong foundation. It's just sluggish as hell. WIndows 7 is Vista with a HUGE performance increase, and I like it. Fast, pretty and customizable. Right now, my dream machine is a fully maxed-out 27" iMac running Win 7. THE best closed-source OS out there right now, though Mac OS X is not far behind, and still quite impressive.

  • @ThunderwingMatrix Troll, right?

  • @Shexo apparently U don't know anything about computers based on myself and SOFTWARE PROS they admit that Snow Leopard is almost the same as the original Leopard but they do admit including me that windows7 is far more superior than vista and much different. and windows 7 is much stable than VIsta. I hate to admit but Vista suck it crashes more than mac but Windows 7 improved they are now the most stable OS in the market. When windows 7 crashes it's third party software or no anti virus

  • @Sven88bac Indeed, Snow Leopard's Finder was completely REwritten in Cocoa and Mac OS X v.10.6 was made ready for 64-bit memory access and 64-bit technology. Windows 7, on the other hand, was just a facelift of Windows Vista.

  • @mastergx1 Steam just came out for mac so the whole macs can't play games argument is getting ready to go out the window once Valve has a mac counterpart.

  • i have both mac and PC at home. I use PC for gaming and mac... for everything else :P

  • I really hate how there manipulating...

The diffrence between Windows and OSX= You know what happens in Windows, while mac gives you an illusion for everything running. I put all updates and scans and so on, on manual, because i want to know what is done about everything!

  • .dll is what games use.lol

  • apple can't bash microsoft with those ads anymore cuz everyone loves windows 7. =)

  • As always apple never talk about their stuff, but about windows. Such an inferiority complex is really pathetic. You deserve the 6% marketshare you've got guys.

  • @kleinmein86 its a breath of fresh air to see a non mac fanboy on the web

  • @mcengage There aren't non-mac fanboys. I'm just rational.

  • qindows 7 is not another windows vista, is even better than that shit (vista), i too fast and it works awesome!

  • surlet is so funny and awesome.

  • @appleAddict240872 U judge ur Mac products on Apple humor and brainwashing, how sad. I own a Mac but for my next laptop I will be getting a Toshiba with Windows 7 cos its so much better.

  • ahahahaha!!!!!!! questi non sanno più cosa fare dopo l'arrivo di windows 7,

stanno facendo tantissime publicità dove mac vince contro windows, però riflettete un attimo, è windows quello che ha lavorato tutto il tempo

  • Nice try brainwashing me! I don't think he knows what a registry is, the same with dlls. Registry are a database where system configuration values are saved, dll's are code that is pre-build so other programs can access code other programs uses! I don't get what is wrong with the dll's OR the registry.

  • @martinmine Nothing is wrong with Dll's or registry, mac uses the same thing but they hide it.

dll's run ur computer and registry is very useful for customising Windows unlike mac which is very closed.

This guy repeats the same things over and over again, kind of like what Hitler used to do, if u repeat something over and over again it will become true no matter how false it may be. Its called brainwashing and Apple are good at that.

They target young ppl its because young ppl r easy to fool.

  • @aminul1984 The audience is formed by Apple software developers, the name itself WWDC says that, not for young easy to brainwash.

This brainwashing is a rase thinking, I came to this video from the reason that I like it, I bought a MacBook Air and I have no problem to say that's very ahead of it's time. I used Windows for 10 years when I discovered something better, had no problem to change.

  • windows 7 rocks!

  • XP changed to vista, and vista changed to 7 but apple didnt change AT all

  • Apple changed their OS from Tiger to Leopard to Snow Leopard , since 2005. Windows only changed 3 times this decade, while Apple Macs changed 5 times this decade. How about you research before you tell a lie.

  • After using 7 for almost a year (through the RC version), I have decided that Microsoft has come a long way. They still have a long way to go yet to catch up to OSX stability, ease of use, and efficency of hardware usage. However, it is the first version that has any promise. 7 got great reviews because most people came from xp or vista. Trust me, I use both (I have to at work), Mac still out performs in most tasks.

  • i made the switch to OSX from XP several years ago (have had 4 Macs and still have 2) but i think Microsoft finally got it right! Windows 7 > OSX! Im switching back!

  • After using Windows 7, my mac seems like shit :(

  • its cause you used it after using your mac so it seems new.

  • @trancepharma I agree with u on that. I got Windows 7 and its just so much better than anything out there right now.

  • @trancepharma you don't have a mac hahaha

  • lol, he says that Microsoft software is full of errors then why is it now that they are integrating Exchange into their OS? Why not innovate something? Oh i forgot Apple do not innovate they patent ideas from other people and comanies and call it their own.

Oh I own a Macbook by the way but i'm no mac faggot.

From experience, mac's are good for designing and video editing but very bad in networking and office use.

  • Apple advertises its software by showing how bad Microsoft is.

If Microsoft is so bad and full of errors then why oh why Mr Bertrand does it have to use Micrsoft Exchange?

  • It doesn't "have" to use Microsoft Exchange, but Macs have to play nice in the Windows world, right?

It's rather amusing how Exchange is built into new Macs, but not Windows PCs.

  • love Vista :)

  • For me there both the same shit i dont care about programs and the registry or whatever else there is windows vista and 7 are good computers mac is good i have one there both the same.

  • If microsoft spent half the time developing IE as Apple did with Safari- maybe it would be at least standards compliant.

  • UAC in 7 > UAC in Vista.

  • i`m just installing safari because i don`t wanna share my Firefox because i don`t like safari opera is way better than it but the ones that use IE 8 aren`t better than the safari users

  • What does it matter that you have a few better features on SL when you comps are so expensive that you dont dare to play with it... Like installing Linux or playing with Dos and that kinda stuff.... SL is for work not for fun...

  • you never tried to install microsoft office on mac. you go crazy! but anyway, they shoudn't do programms for the other platform. doesn't work either way.

  • 2 times i have instaled safari on my windows and those 2 times I had to reinstall the windows< not cool guys((

  • @sanGuziy

I've never had to do that on my PC. :P

  • you've never installed safari or never reinstalled the system?:)

  • I have installed safari but it doesn't make me do that. It just installs, imports stuff from my other browsers, and immediately starts working.

  • @sanGuziy this is the thing who haness whn noobs uses PCs

  • @ROCKY19892 what actually could I do wrong? I just installed the browser and after reboot got blue screen, that happened 2 times for me... It is great guys that it works for but I just wanted to say that it is not always so... I am certainly not newbie with PC)) Macs - yes, I am a newbie)

  • @dirtygore like fox news ^.^

  • Windows 7 64 bit is about the same boot time as vista 64 bit because it's 90 percent

  • well they need to spread the message of how os x is the best and how 7 is still like vista. they need to play dirty. you don't see microsoft during a keynote saying, oh well os x can't even handle powerful games, its expensive etc.

  • Windows Sucks

  • Its kind of funny how your performance comparison is based on the boot time and unfair. Building your conclusion on something like that, well, that's more kind of sad.

  • @GQOfficial If your school Macs are connected to a server with every other computer in the lab, then of course they will be slow with other people on the computers together. Our school computers are very new and updated with Windows 7, and equipped with very fast processing speeds. But with 20 to 30 other kids trying 2 load pages, games, tests, etc It will take a minute or two to load a page.

  • @GQOfficial THE WAIT IT WORTH IT!

  • @ 4:16 vista has that

  • if he really got into detail about 7, he wouldve realised how much better it is than he thought. Like how user account control strictness settings can be adjusted, not just on and off. Also, the taskbar has been improved, because you can pin things to it and be able to quickly launch them. Also, windows is compatible with A LOT of programs mac isnt. so i stay with windows.

  • Yes, Windows 7 has made quite a step in terms of user-friendliness. And it runs many more games, so Id recommend you too to stay with it.

However, Win7 is still based on the old crummy NT-kernel and still has no logic when it comes to DLLs. As well, it doesnt run smoothly (I mean graphically).

  • "Also, the taskbar has been improved, because you can pin things to it and be able to quickly launch them. "...that is a copy of the mac os x "DOCK",just that the blown up taskbar doesn't even have half of the function of the dock and that it's 2dimensional and has HUGE icons...I couldn't even place half of my most frequently used programs there ...apple had the dock since how many years? x3 from the start 10 years ago? xDD at least since tiger ;D

  • you do know that you can change the size of the icons dont you. you dont have to have HUGE icons on the taskbar

  • really?then I apologize,I didn't now that :) do you know how big you can make them?wait...if they are as big as these little shortcuts in the taskbar like in xp then that would be to small xD I mean if they are that small, and I place all my programs there (36 of them) then it would be really hard to see a the one I search quickly...

  • I continue here now...

"Also, windows is compatible with A LOT of programs mac isnt. so i stay with windows."

...another thing, maybe in the past they were way less software for the mac,I don't really know...but NOW there is a LOT of software for the mac,for every program on a mac there is something equal or even better program on a mac and even IF not (1 out of 1000 cases) you can also install windows on your mac and actually run EVERY program of the world ^^

  • Why should you have to install windows to be able to run every program? that annoys me. so you have to buy more stuff to run every program in the world? sorry, but id rather have something that has more programs on it than the other OS. And to run more programs you have to use more RAM? seriously, thats stupid. Take the better buy.

  • but you would have to do the same the other way around if you would want to run every program of the world. The only thing is that you can't install the apple os on your windows-computer...and I also said that there is sooooo many software for the mac, more than you would even need. and nooo...as long as you don't use them all at the same time they don't use more RAM...and in snow leopard they use even wayyy less than in windows 7 x3

  • I think Bertrand has robotic arms. (I mean, he DOES have a glass eye.)

  • Again. If you don't want it don't use it and leave others alone.

  • many people use PC because it is easy to upgrade the hardwares, you could even build your own. with that said, can you build a MAC by yourself??.. and what will the user do with all the fancy design, concept, preinstalled softwares that MAC have, if the user don't even need it? if you use PC you could customize it what ever you like.. the look and feel is really your choice.. and MAC took advantage of the bugs, glitches, faults that vista have so that they could sell their fancy iMAC.

  • to the idiot who said that vista doesn't get viruses as easy as mac you got the script flipped buddy macs aren't prone to viruses like windows are thats why any pc you buy they have pre loaded software from norton and mcaffee for protection against adware spyware and viruses and mac doesn't cuz with mac you have to literally be looking for a virus to get one. so before you post know what you are talking about plus every brand new pc ive came across is fast for like the first month

  • Is it french this man ?

  • Yes he's French.

  • What about Windows 7 on a Mac. Holla!

  • no one really uses quick time exept for playing vids

    like me on my mac

  • PC and Macs PC has more features that mac

vista sucked with all the problems it had but now it runs smoother than a mac dose not get viruses as easy like a mac plus more compatible than mac

  • People who think PCs are too hard to use are stupid. They aren't that hard to use!

  • Comment removed

  • I prefer Mac OS X Snow Leopard as my main OS, but from using Vista in the past both Mac and W7 are an improvement. Windows still has to catch up as it's NOT using new technology, mac is. Apple has been known to adopt almost all the new technology first, or a close second.

  • and did this retard know that W7 sold like 4 times as more than snow leopard? this guy needs to get a real OS, W7 FTW!

  • and why do u think theres more PC's in the world, cause its btter than shitty mac

  • that is actually a really bad and rather pitiful comeback. Just because something is more popular in no way, shape, or form is it better. They are more popular because they are cheaper. When you buy mac you buy quality. Macs are expensive because you buy quality, the best operating system, and tons of pre-installed software (iLife, etc) which is the best multimedia package that comes standard on any computer. Most people don't buy mac because of the price but let me tell you it is worth it

  • i agree about you saying just because something is popular doesnt make it better. the iphone is a perfect example of that.

  • theres more russians then americas that mean they better?

  • i think win7 is better than os x. it all comes down to personal choice.

  • Mac users, You think windows sucks? It doesn't one of the main reasons why windows gets errors is because the hardware is cheap or the drivers need to be upgraded etc. This is why gaming pc's stand strong because of quality parts. Macs are built with quality, if it was made with hardware from dell it'd probs die. Mac's have a lot of ASUS hardware, If you want a reliable PC Asus or Custom is the way to go.

  • Quality, not quantity.

  • @koliop95 That whole sentence i wrote. It was about Quality so where did "Quantity" come from?

  • I'm saying Apple doesn't use other peoples hardware. THEY MAKE IT ALL! That's why they're better than Microsoft's. No upgrading your hardware, or any major surgery.

  • Duuuuuude, Apple don't make all their hardware LOL, they assemble it. Companies like Asus, LG etc supply for them.

  • apple does use other companys hardware. most of there computers are made with other companys hardware.

  • The plugin crash deal, yea, Chrome has the same thing, if I understand him correctly, so if a plugin crashes, that's the only thing that crashes, and a simple refresh of the page will fix it.

  • A bigger cat? lol.

A Snow Leopard is smaller than a Leopard.

Male Leopards are between 82 to 200 lbs and 62 to 130 lbs for females. Whereas a Snow Leopard is between 60 and 120 lbs.

  • Stop being a hater and actually USE Mac OS X before you call Mac OS X trash.

  • Phil is weak. I think they should get that Johnny Ive dude to do this instead.

  • I love this man's accent. XD

  • it is really sexy!:D

  • I wonder why monsieur Serlet thinks, that a Windows User needs to use the Defragmentation frontend. It's completely automated. Just like in OSX. Laughing at a defrag-UI implies that an OSX user as well doesn't have to deal with defragmentation but also isnt provided with an easy way to configure defragmentation manually if he for whatever reason wants to.

  • I miss Steve Jobs... :(

  • the great thing is that you don't get virus on mac

  • this guy cant speak properly XD

  • He's French...

  • Yeah he's french !

  • hell i have xp working fine to me

  • window 7 ultimate

    window 7 office

    window 7 home

    window 7 basic

    mac os x = priceless

  • Will Snow Leopard work on my PC ? :

    2 GB RAM Memory

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+ (2.11 GHz)

    nVidia GeForce 7300 LE (MSI)

RealTek HD Audio Digital Output Sound Card

    Windows 7 RC1

    Please tell me !

  • ahh, I think Leopard don't run on a PC.

  • theres hackintosh for runnning osx on pc

  • ...which is illegal, and when you get caught Apple can take legal action against you.

  • Well, for something to be illegal, you are implying that Apple's EULA is a law, which it's not.

Yea, at most suing, all they could do against the group that started the project.

  • it should work though a AMD processor makes it a bit more difficult.

  • You want a Mac? Oh, you ain't got money? Buy a PC with Windows! Windows is a Mac, but, with so much errors!

  • basicaly what i mean is they call it a new os when it is not they just through that out there to keep up with microsoft and get back to work on the iPhone

  • why is this the same crap he sed about vista . he talks about disk defregmentation ok : tool used to organize and compress files to speed up access to that specific file across the hard drive. why do mac users need to run disk utlities to repair permisions and clear caches and all that after a major update? snow leopard is a service pack belive it or not want proof? " collection of updates, fixes and/or enhancements to a software program delivered in the form of a single installable package"

  • wrong, in snow leopard apple changed the architecture, while microsoft DIDN'T change it in windows 7. it means that 7 is just what ms usually calles "service pack". but in snow leopard there weren't only cosmetic improvements.

  • in which way/parts did they change the architecture?

  • Windows 7 isn´t a service pack, it´s NT 6.1
