Also dealers said the company was not helping them out in any way. The bankruptcy was a combination of high prices, lack of investors and bad company policies. The media gave them plenty of attention, but they couldn't use all the free publicity well.
The thing is it is only 40 mile range. It might be decent if it was 80 mile range and this probably could be done if the body was made out of carbon fiber and Lithium Ion batteries instead of Nickel Metal Hydride which with today's technology is not as good as Lithium ion.
I just bought a one year old ex demo Vectrix for £4,000. It is awesome. I didn't ride before I saw this but once I knew I could have this for my commute I just had to have one. Yes it's a fairly big spend up front but I now get to work and back (24 miles) for the price of an apple! It can power climb a steep hill with impatience and left my friend's 500cc contemplating it's navel. Combine it with a renewable electricity supplier and you can metaphorically sail to work. Love it!
Hi Kev. When I've returned from work I still have 50% battery so I reckon I could do the commute twice on one charge. It's hilly round here with fairly fast roads. I would feel quite confident setting out on a 40 mile trip but further if it was flatter and I went easy on the throttle.
how long do u need to drive it before the battery dies?

I think the price has been reduced. Their websites lists their price at $9,400 in the US. I definitely want to test drive one, before I buy.

Still a big rip off at 9400. Their greed will sink them, To bad I would love to have one.

4k UK, thats just under 8K US - about. Thats what I'd pay for it. Its around 6-7k at the moment in the UK - too much for me!
