And The Wire wasn't lying when he was gettin all them people killed on the show (like in season 4), because in real life, he had way more bodies than that. But I think he's in prison right now. I dont know if he had a war with Avon or not. But he probably did.

My dad was a parole officer in Baltimore and told me a story about just this sort of thing involving one of his paroles. I'm not sure, but hearing Barkesdale's story about how they came for him in the hospital, I think my dad might have been his parole officer and the story he told me was about him. If not, it was very similar. At any rate, the guy he told me about had been shot about a dozen times, twice in the head by that point in his life, and was adamant he would keep "banging.".
