ur partially right and partially wrong... to call a saleen a mustang and a ford is technically incorrect... and im gonna explain why... when a shelby GT500 is built is all done in a ford factory. When a Saleen mustang is made a GT goes from the factory to the Saleen shop and then becomes a Saleen mustang. The biggest reason that you see the Ford badge on dealer ordered saleen mustangs is that ford made a deal with saleen that the badge stays and in return they get the job and cash.

pretty much a after market type that makes parts specifically for a type of brand. such as nismo/nissan, TRD/toyota, spoon/mugen/honda, ralliart/mitsubishi/, mopar/dodge, any many many more. ford has a lot like roush, saleen, shelby.

it has the same frame and mostly everything else...all saleen does is supercharge the engine, slap a body kit on it, deck out the interior, and change the exhaust...i can do that to any car, a rice burners still a civic, so a saleens still a stang
