Question to Lila Sakura: Do you know where you got the very first image of Mahalakshmi Mata? I liked it very much that's why i m asking you...please provide the link or something...thanks.
@theiceman74 I hope it hasn't been too long since your question about the Lakshim Gayatri for this to be relevant. My view is that listening to a mantra like this is helpful, but personal chanting has an even greater effect. If you chant yourself, the action brings your own personal energy and intention into engagement, which I think makes a mantra more powerful.
@theiceman74 Dear friend, actually you have to learn it and chant it! It is a prayer, and afterall it is also the vibration of your voice that counts so much in our Universe! You will see how much relaxing it is to chant it!! After only two days I was so in love with this mantra that I would chant it even in the bus!!!!
Jaya Maha Laksmi .One doesn't have to acquire wealth just by associating with the sound of Sri Laksmi Devi's name ,he is immediately wealthier in every respect .Thank you again Lila
Lisa, thank you so much for this beautiful mantra. It feels so good to be one with Lakshmi. Interesting to see how my cats react when I chant...something awakens in them.
Wow my success story: I was waiting for a paycheck 4 months overdue. The Company called and informed me that they now have enough money to pay me for my services.
I Did this yesterday and the previous week. 108 times, pink candle and flowers around the picture of Lakshmi and coins and dollars surrounded the candle. Try it, you really have nothing to loose.
Hi Lila, what a beautiful lakshmi mantra, I wanted to ask you a question: Does this mantra have the same effect if I just listen to it from this video and concentrate and meditate on it 108 times per day for 40 days? or do I have to say the mantra from my own voice 108 times a day for 40 days in order for it to have effect?
I run a avant-guard comedy animation website called Not Even Smoozed, its sorta like Robot Chicken but on mushrooms. Check us out sometime. Anyway, I would like to inform you that we are accepting animated comedic shorts, psychedelic experimentation, subliminal video montages etc. If you have some personal stuff or if you make anything new I would love to see it. If I like it, with your permission, It may make it into a future episode of Not Even Smoozed -JW
i got a email about 3 months ago and it said that Lakshmi would bring me wealth in a few days.. i can not lie. i recieved a refund ck that i was not expecting.. then my girlfriend got one and then i hit a scratch off for $100. i have great love and faith in Lakshmi, now and i forward that email once a week to all my friends and hope them the best..
Wow! I feel great after chanting this mantra 108 times. I was having a coffee and I saw the room had three pictures of Laxsmi together on one wall, and so especially seeing as it is Mother's Day, I felt a need to connect with the Great Mother. I sat in Padmasana, the lotus pose with my left leg first and chanted through one mala, whilst so doing I discovered a new way of counting 108 using pressure between my palms in a certain order. Happy Mother's Day everyone 10/5/2552. Maha Thank you! :)
divine lilasakura devi, gratitude for this beautiful offerings of abundant grace. may she enrich humanity in awareness to be sensitive to oneness that evolves and uplifts as grace of awakening and awakening to abundance. aum
What a beautiful mantra. Thank you Lila. I am familiar with the the numerous Tibetan mantras but the Hindu mantras are fresh and new for me. I wonder if Lakshmi later evolved to become Tara as Tantricism expanded into Tibet from North India?Tara represents the quality of compassion which is a feminine receptive aspect of love. Lakshmi also seems to represent the feminine.?
Tara, Quan Yin (China/Japan), Mother Mary of Christianity, Laksmi/Sarawati-Durga (Hindu) -- all one and the same -- all manifestations of Divine Mother.
Actually, Tara is a form of Parvati/Durga/Kali....the Consort of Siva. Tibetian buddhism is heavily based on Tantricism. The tibetians love the angry Bhairava form of Siva. But, They use the Sri or Lakshmi yantra.
Hi wtfisonyoutface, Gayatri Mantra is said to be the most revered mantra in Hinduism. Some feel women should only chant this after menopause. There was a time, only Brahmin priests chanted this, but things have changed in this time of Kali Yuga. Now, men and women chant.
Hi Deepish, Rough translation for this one: "Om. Let us meditate on the Great Goddess Sri Lakshmi, the consort of Sri Maha Vishnu. May that effulgent Maha Lakshmi Devi inspire and illuminate our mind with understanding."
Thank you for introducing these beautiful personalities and help combat materialism in its crudest form.Mother Laksmi always accompanies Lord Narayana.May her blessings give the world spiritual and material benefits for the happiness of all
Om. Let us meditate on the Great Goddess Sri Lakshmi, the consort of Sri Maha Vishnu. May that effulgent Maha Lakshmi Devi inspire and illuminate our mind with understanding.
Saraswati Maa said that she gave us the pages of the world to learn from. When we learn something we are to spread it to others. and you have done necessarily!
Hi Jeff, Usually it is said 108 times per day in 40 day cycles and repeated as necessary. But you can do less (may take longer) or more (most effective when said with faith and devotion)to release siddhi (power of mantra)
but i was wondering, when would you be considered old enough to do that? Some one was telling me yesterday that i was too young to be so involved with god and that im crazy for doing so. how can i respond to that and not be doubtful?
I feel one is old enough to chant when one can talk and has an interest to do so. Most kids, especially in Western culture, aren't interested in chanting though, so it is really beautiful that you are drawn to do so at such a young age. I would just ignore the doubters and chant on your own as you are drawn to do so. (:
Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me this wonderful gift. This is the third of your series of clips that I have added to "my favourites". This is faith and direction. It gives me a road to follow to get to my destination and when I get there it points me to another road to reach my other destination. You have made worshipping so much more unrestrained.
