I was thrilled by Technicolor footage in "The Aviator." I was impressed - and disappointed - to learn it was done digitally. Scorsese wanted sequences to copy the effect, which he did. Darn. I was hoping for a Technicolor revival. I'm glad someone else realized what was going on in the film.

if you haven't seen "aviator", it makes great use of 2 strip and 3 strip technicolor effects... no to mention it's a fantastic movie in general.
