Here's the video if you want to see, KHUKURI used to behead animals in just a single shot back in our country - Nepal during festivals. Enjoy (◠‿◠)
Know what would've been interesting to watch? A real Gurkha using the kukri, instead of the guy who McDonalds could rely on to get through the credit crunch. Right now it's just Fattie McFat cutting random things with a knife. It's kind of like with baseball I suppose; no twat is interested in seeing a random bloke use the brand new bat, what's interesting is to see a baseball legend use it.
The Gurkhas are not mercenaries. They're part of the British Army and recognised worldwide as such. A simple Google search would have told you that. Instead you've insulted them and shown yourself up as lazy and inaccurate.
@DANIELSUTCLIFFE Gurkha's use guns. Did they invent the gun? No. They use it because it is effective. Why shouldn't U.S. special forces, or anyone for that matter, use this knife?
@DANIELSUTCLIFFE Then stop using all the other weapons you use since the Gurkhas didn't invent any of that, use that fucking knife in combat and get your head filled with holes.
@flashcraft this would be ur best weapon to try.....3x more powerfull than a sword..i have the san mai3 version......and i feel like i can hack off anything......cops wouldnt stand a chance with their batons...this is so much faster and deadlier....u can stab for neck shots
@MrEran1996 That's because the force of the punch, or swing in this matter, comes from the center of gravity, the feet. Fat people have more weight, therefore the center of gravity is influenced. For proof, look how the demonstrators are standing.
In the Falklands a Gurkha patrol got an Argentinan AA gun crew to surrender by drawing a single kurki and waving it in their general direction. AYO GURKHALI!
@IcnCyou Thts awesome bro im trying to get the beast from KHUKRI house.com it is a beast better then this but Thts realy cool does he still have his kukri
@tidoissim They were hired as paid regular soldiers. :( The Kingdom of Nepal signed a treaty with England stating that both Kingdoms would be Allies, and constituent Kingdoms. Thus efectively making the Gurkhas into British regulars much like the British Royal Highland Regiments.
@tidoissim After suffering heavy casualties in the invasion of Nepal, the British East India Company signed for peace deal in 1815, which also allowed it to recruit from the ranks of the former enemy. Following the partition of India in 1947, an agreement between Nepal, India and Britain meant four Gurkha regiments from the Indian army were transferred to the British Army, eventually becoming the Gurkha Brigade. They were never mercs.
@sgtboffy1 you also must be forgetting that this is just a saying which is one of the ways of showing a gurkhas bravery and fierciety. and btw i am nepalese so fffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkkkk youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
When will this sad post-menopausal botoxed creature Lumley comprehend Britain should NOT act as a dump for every third world refugee charity case. These people are in fact paid a pension that gives them a good standard of living in their own country. These so called “celebrities” such as Lumley and Redgrave should stick to acting not prostitute themselves through the media to force their extreme unelected left wing views regarding third world parasites on the British taxpayer.
When Chuck Norris brings a kukri he would hit his opponent so hard so the Kukri would completely disintegrate on the way towards the opponents face so only a spray of atomic carbon based particles would pass through the opponent near the speed of light and cause the opponent to light on fire while the surrounding air would become cluttered with blood. Sadly Chuck Norris biggest frustration afterwards would be that hes got an empty sheath and no blade to insert into it... Thats how i feel about
the khukuri blade is amazing and in the time before world war II the Gurkhas would make the sheaths out of human skin and the blade if taken out could not be put back into the sheath before it drew blood...
@IcnCyou I researched it, so unless in Nepal you go and cut someone or slaughter an animal every time you go for firewood, you are full of bullshit. The whole drawing blood before putting the blade back is a battlefield myth, inspired by the fact they were so fierce.
@frogjezz just like i said my freind i am nepalese i was born in nepal i was raised as a nepali so no matter how much research you do only a true nepalese would know if its fac or bulldhit ad myth.

@Sonofgun666 I actually own a military grade tomahawk which is used in today's military. They aren't quite as helpful as you think. First of all, it has less chopping power than this kukri. And unless you throw it super hard, it won't hardly stick in a tree. It isn't a very good climbing tool and it isn't helpful other than it being so lightweight. And a cool funfact about the gurka of great Britain: One time on a mission their target to capture was killed. They used a kukri to cut off his head

@watchthatvid112 no problem. from pearl harbor to the medal of honor's predecesor, i've got plenty of reasons to be fascinated with the military (yes, i'm bragging) XD
this is bullshit, cold steel constantly murders traditional knife making cultures with their dumbass western styles which is hard to believe given the quality of their knives.
If you care to speak to a Nepalese or a Ghurka you will find out that the Khukri is actually an "All purpose knife", it is used for all manner of daily activities from chopping kindling to start a fire, chopping meat, skinning carcases and killing enemy soldiers.
There is nothing special about the Khukri..............The Gurkha wielding one however, is a totally different matter !!
@SuperGoliath89 The blade notch, or cho, was a generic religous symbol that was strictly ornamental. I assume Cold Steel wished to keep their version of the knife more "practical and tactical" as opposed to traditional. Why would a western user of the knife want a hindu mystic symbol on the blade anyway?
@eacortes That's only one possible reason for the blade notch's purpose. Different people will give you different answers. Some say it's for ceremonial purposes, but others will tell you that it's there so blood and sap will drip off the blade before reaching the hand, and others will tell you it's so that you know how far down the edge you should be sharpening. Regardless of weather the reason is ceremonial or practical, it doesn't change the fact that most authentic khukri have them.
plz fatso do not misuse my defend macanism just cutting those life less object, remember we do it to our living enemies.

this is bullshit, cold steel constantly murders traditional knife making cultures with their dumbass western styles which is hard to believe given the quality of their knives.

Very very funny form, but if I were to own 2 of these "multi purpose" blades.....heh heh :)
jayster141 7 months ago
If you care to speak to a Nepalese or a Ghurka you will find out that the Khukri is actually an "All purpose knife", it is used for all manner of daily activities from chopping kindling to start a fire, chopping meat, skinning carcases and killing enemy soldiers.
There is nothing special about the Khukri..............The Gurkha wielding one however, is a totally different matter !!

I've always wondered, how come these Kukri never have the blade notch?
SuperGoliath89 8 months ago
@SuperGoliath89 The blade notch, or cho, was a generic religous symbol that was strictly ornamental. I assume Cold Steel wished to keep their version of the knife more "practical and tactical" as opposed to traditional. Why would a western user of the knife want a hindu mystic symbol on the blade anyway?
eacortes 7 months ago
@eacortes That's only one possible reason for the blade notch's purpose. Different people will give you different answers. Some say it's for ceremonial purposes, but others will tell you that it's there so blood and sap will drip off the blade before reaching the hand, and others will tell you it's so that you know how far down the edge you should be sharpening. Regardless of weather the reason is ceremonial or practical, it doesn't change the fact that most authentic khukri have them.
