  • Also, would you no the dim switch position to let me use my lp5dsm on the t-28, and would you even recommend this TX over the small RTF one, im thinking bigger is better, and it just feels like a more serious TX and maybe more range??,

  • Hi, love ur videos, what would you have to change to run the 500 mil lipos. I have a bunch if them from my blade 120sr. Can you just use the adapter or will you fry the rx, speed controler, ect.. Thankx

  • Looks like someone needs a new nose for his P-51 ;)

  • Where do you order your TBL sets from? I ordered direct from them and they are extremely slow. I've been waiting for 2 weeks and I'm only 30 miles away from them in IL. Finally got someone to respond to an email and they said it was on it's way. It's been another week, still not lights. Emailed them 4 days ago, no response. The email address on their website doesn't work, luckily I paid with PayPal and it listed another email address. You see similar problems dealing with this "company"?

  • Dave, I've had my um p51 for a while and still have a tendency to over-control. I have a DX6i...what do you think about programming in some expo? Would it smooth me out better? Love your vids! Semper Fi.

  • I would love to add those lights to my Champ and Trojan, but they dont sell them to Spain unfortunatelly

  • I had no problem getting the tiny brite lights to switch on and off with the 3-way flap switch on my DX7. It will allow you to have them off, navigation and strobe only on, and everything on. It's funny, all I had to do was plug it in......

  • What's the cleanest way to route the wires along the wings and to the vertical stabilizer? Looks like you've run them lights along the leading edge of the underside of the wings, but did you cut any kind of seam to get out from the fuselage in either case?

I'm presuming you just used tape for placement.

Also, did you bind the Tiny Brite circuit board to the bottom of the fuselage or the top? Looks like the bottom.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm not as handy and imaginative as you are.

  • nice vid!

  • thanks dave now i have lights on my parkzone micro mustang

  • Dave, i want to learn to fly a ducted fan jet. Do you have any suggestion to which one i should get? Easy to fly..

  • I love the background music. Are you using midi files? If so where from. Also which soundcard are you using etc?

  • Hey Dave great mods on the lights. Can i send you my micro J3 cub and put lights? Just charge me for the lights and labor and how much..

  • Hey Dave how much was the light? Can i send you my micro J3 cub and you can charge me for the lights and labor?

  • The p51 with machine gun lights that i like would look great in the air .

    Great video once again thanks {"_*}

  • very cool Dave, nice work!

  • NIce thanks Dave as always your videos are the best !

Are you going to be doing any videos of the up and coming UMX Beast ?

    Thanks

    Kris

  • Great job, Dave! I really enjoy your work. Keep 'em coming!!

  • wish we where closer to each other i would love to get started in this hobby.

  • Great video dave. looks great. Mite have to get one i think.

  • hey dave, what plane do you recommend teaching myself on? i do not plan to learn from an instructor or a simulator. I was thinking the Hobby Zone Super Cub or the Champ?

  • @beastly239 The first flight "either plane" should be done with a real instructor. A sim will give a good sense of learning controls. Good luck. I like the super cub, btw.

  • @NightFlyyer thanks! well do you have any other suggestions of any other plane you think would be best for a total beginner? i might buy a sim though...

  • Yet again Dave a how to video with a bit of flyig too = my favourite so thumbs up mate ;-)

  • @startazz Thanks so very kindly. I appreciate it. ~NightFlyyer~

  • thanks again great stuff

  • Dave for President!

  • Thanks Dave =)

  • great job Dave, it now looks even better and more practical, thumbs up for sure !

  • @beverke7 Thanks so very much for your comments. ~NightFlyyer~

  • @NightFlyyer

If the light circuit board is mounted more aft, between the receiver and the aileron servo, then the tail light will reach to the correct spot, on top of the rudder.

  • The lights CAN BE turned on and off with the little transmitter that came with it. When the lights are plugged into the central servo connector, When you go to "low rate" (by pushing the right stick into the transmitter) the lights go off

WHY? Night time raids need covert approach!! Flying outside a hospital and close fly-bys on the windows, Security was coming so I killed the lights, blind landed in a big field and drove off. Came back later and turns the light on to find the plane.

  • I did not see the receiver, is it a normal Spektrum receiver or do they make a micro receiver? It's not that important, just curious.

  • @Peanutdinos3000 The receiver is the unit in the middle with the 2 servos. It is an all in one RX.

  • dave.. you are an typical aviation icon ...you have your whole life dedicated to aviation....and im tryng to be just like you

  • @PPiTTislakatamia Thanks very kindly. That is a very nice compliment. Good luck with your flying. ~NightFlyyer~

  • where can i get one that is same size as that p-51 but a spitfire ???

  • thanks so much for the SR 120 500 mah lipo idea from your previous videos. I have been enjoying flight times on my HZ champ and PZ p-51 of about 18mins. I havent flown my SR 120 since i have been using the 4 lipos i have for it in my micro planes. I just got a suhkoi XP today so it may need a little modding to use the 500mah lipos.

  • @stalyoni Your welcome. You will find the bigger capacity battery and weight will make that Sukhoi fly really well. Good luck.

  • For flying which one you like better the T-28 or the Mustang. I have the micro Mustang and I would like to try the bigger battery.

  • @photobart1 I really like em both, but the T-28 is really sweet with Trike gear, etc. The Mustang is a bit more maneuverable and faster, so it is really up to you. Cant lose on either. Thanks.

  • excellent Dave..you the man!!!

  • @badgolf1 Haha. Thanks kindly.

  • @NightFlyyer just alil input..i met you at the scorching fun fly in riverside..wow that was such a blast..and thanks for putting me in your video(short black guy)..a privilege..thanks for all your hard work..lol..or fun work!

  • i did these throw mods a wile back. also added more aileron throw as well. preforms great!

  • @M4A1DUDE I always fly all my stuff stock first to see what the MFGs do, but your right, more control, more fun and excitement. Thanks.

  • wow your 50 some yrs old but you dont shake!

  • @lowIQ04 Your too kind. I'm 62, actually.

  • IM HUNGRY FOR SOME NIGHT FLYIN

  • great video mr herbert. that was a really informational video, nice flying too! thanks for this vid, i might actually put light on my p 51, thanks! great job as usual!

  • @ramis182 Thanks very much. Go for it. It is fun.

  • thank you dave for the advice! picked one up yesterday and it is soo maneuravable! great little plane thats very versatile. it had no problem flying in 25+ mph winds amazingly enough! thank you again!

  • @happyturtle18 I am happy you have been successful. Your right, this tiny plane handles more wind than a person would think. Thanks for the comments.

    ~NightFlyyer~

  • sweet video

  • @basicallytactical Thanks very kindly.

  • I have dealt with them a few times. Tried to via email, but ended up just calling over and over till someone finally answered. I think that they are getting overwhelmed with business from the sounds of it when I talked to them a while back. They actually make the stuff in house and I am pretty sure there are just 2 or 3 guys that do all the soldering. Hope this helps.

  • @bamabaxter Thanks. I think your right....they may need to begin a bigger production effort, as I know lots of people are ordering these lights, from comments on my videos where I used these.

  • Good Job Dave, Great video as usual.

  • Thank you very much.

  • I think you mean t-28... awesome as always dave :)

  • @pieman12345678987654 Correct. Thanks kindly.

  • Thanks for the tips Dave! I need to pick up one of these little birds.

  • @davidfx16gts Thanks. They are sure fun...especially at night....

  • first!
