He sings as if he was on stage acting, feeling every word he utters. I didn't realize just until now that he had a chance to sing this song. It is unfortunate though that the video was not able to capture everything up to the end of the song.

Lost Horizon was so unfairly criticized. It came out post CABARET. The type of musical where a character bursts out into song was not being accepted. On top of that it was an anti war musical FANTASY! The only one of it's kind. An all too easy target for critics. Harris does an excellent job at singing IF I COULD GO BACK. Thanks for posting.

@Startreknot that is nice that you have it keep is safe Richard Harris is one of the unique singer he was not well introduce to public well i pressume they heared him singing but they dont know it is one of the great American actor Harris unless one listen carefully to the voice then they know it is Harris provided they are familiar of his movies

The should have cast Harris rather than Finch; especially as this song was cut as a result of his inability to convincingly lip sync it. A singer/actor like Harris would have pulled it off nicely.
