I played on this amp today along with another. The Vox VT 80 +. To me they both sound great. Wish I could afford to by both of them. The Vox also has many things to play with--probably more. Of course they are not the same sound. I'd have to own both of them to figure it out. I love them. The Fender does make it easier to "Plug in and Play". The display on the amp solves the "having to read the book" thing for me. They're both great, but my new Mustang III will serve me well for now....
I have a question....I'm flipping back and forth whether I will get the mustang II or III. I'm a house/room player only. I think it's worth the extra money for the screen and better celestion speaker in the III. What concerns me is if it is too much for the house. I know modelling keeps it's tone for the most part regardless of volume but do you need to crank the III a little bit to get it to sound better and get the speaker moving? Thanks.
sounds good anyway i've heard that you can record with it which means does it work also like a sound card/platform, or to record with the software that comes with it i should buy another sound card? sorry if explain myself bad, i'm a caveman when it comes to computers :D
Can you use the foot switch to pre select sounds like flanger, overdrive etc and turn on when you need them or does it only let you avoid using the selection buttons on the actual amp?
@GRANDADTOM69 Yes ... really good ... you need the optional 4 button pedal for the Mustang III, it is standard on the IV and V ... I bought one for my III ... love it ...
I got a Mustang III about two months ago. Best modeling amp I've ever played. But the real issue here is, do you think this guy realizes that a muppet puked on his shoulder?
Thank you! i just baught the fender mustang iii yesterday and i love it, some of the presets that came with it wernt to my taste, however this thing is compareable to marshalls, no, even surpasses. money well spent if id say so myself

im thinking of buying this amp, do you think you can make a video showing how the 2 way footswitch works that comes with it?
Thanks a Bunch!

@sparksXguitar I believe the two-way footswtich simply scrolls up and down through the presets, including whichever ones you've saved yourself.
