You did nothing wrong. Instructing an AFF w/o a bucket isn't the smartest thing to do. Couldn't really tell whether instructor who held on shouldn't have. Not w/o another cam's view. It worked out. To be honest, I'm not impressed w/the AFFIs...
That are not clouds... It's just some compressed moisture. I see some Headdown, some nice carving on his back and some sitflying. And on his belly in time to pull his chute! That steering toggle on the rig is like those CRW dudes, they also have all kinds off crap hanging out of their harnesses :-) I suspect that the AFF instructor hanging on was a freeflyer, nice job on holding on man!
That is impressive, and he did all the work just to have his partner zap the student once the piece was stable! Kudos to the one inst. Good vieographer too
Great job, fall off. . . and then when your partner fixes student and the learning process begins, make sure you deploy for them ensuring that they learn nothing!
@drumatic86 actually. . . Mr. Barndoor should have been able to fly himself and not let go. Secondly, Mr. rollover should not have grabbed all over the student's reserve handle while rolling over. Not saying that I am perfect, but the student was somewhat aware, why pull him right when you finally get back?

@288280 Most AFF first-jump student freefall times are limited to around 50 seconds, and that is if they are falling stable belly to earth jumping from an altitude of 13,000 feet. I'd say it was more than likely time or past time for the student to deploy his parachute. Instructors will not pull out a student's parachute just for the hell of it.
dam that one guy came out of nowhere xD

100% dropzone's mistakes. The guy who spotted that jump (It's pretty damn cloudy).
Instructor caused the flip, not the student.
Brake toggle was hanging out of the container

Not a cloud in the sky either! Who the fuck spotted that jump?

The fact that the instructor managed to hang on to that tumbling disaster is impressive

@jordzzzzzzz You, my friend, are the idiot. I am an AFF insructor and have been for quite a while. I am also an Instructor evaluator.

I love how at 0:43 you see the other instructor coming in: "Allright I'm back nothing to worry now...*rip chord* there you go :)"

Hey Tommie, can you imagine at that moment? That was quite a battle field.
Don't tell FF-F brevet houders about that mistake, please

He will definately be a freeflyer! Except for the non-freefly proof rig... What's up with that steering toggle blowing in the wind???

I heard going for your bowling license is just as fun, but without all that tumbling and scary falling stuff

@288280 Yeah - being a Klingon, the student would most probably prefer to learn a wee bit more and get killed in the process...

@288280 oh yeah they should have let him fall until cypress opens so he get's shocked and quits skydiving after his first jump, right..
