  • I got it working, it's fun.

  • I want this for my next party!!!

  • Hi, I've tried your project on my local dev machine and with comparison to yt video I'm getting much lower quality/resolution of picture. Moreover animations are not so smooth (cpu 4x2,9GHz, gfx radeon hd 5670). I'm using Your binary version from Google Code (locally compiled from source works as well but it's even more laggy..) Any ideas?

  • @cortez8591 Here are the specs for the machine we used in the video: Intel Quad-Core i7 960 running at 3.07 GHz, Graphics: NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800. We also used DDR3 system RAM. We don't use a lot of total memory at any given time, but we do write to it very frequently, so having a faster RAM clock speed may make a significant difference.

The system requirements are fairly steep, and optimization is one of the things we plan to continue working on (and which you can help with!)

  • Hello,

Could you tell me how many people it can hande because I am having problems with mine. It can hande until 5 or 6 persons.

    Thank you for your answer.

  • @lililamour We've put a hard limit of 6 users in the multi-user mode right now

because we're running a separate, expensive density simulation for

each user. Any more than 6 users started to slow down our system so

that it was not real time. When we add CUDA support, I expect we will

be able to greatly increase this number.

Meanwhile, from source, you can change the MAX_USERS variable in

fluidWall.cpp to suit your needs. Thanks for your question!
