The best demo of these pickups right here...played clean and equally all positions,we hear chords(instead of "blues riffs"),muted and non muted notes... Nice job.
@permian11 that's what i was saying. some think they sound good, and you might even think they play well, but what i'm saying is they don't play as well as higher priced ones.
sounds good, but i would never buy a squier. I know some think they are "fender without the price tag" but last time i played one in a store, i swear that neck was so rough i felt like I was going to get splinters. The quality is not there at all. It's better to get a used MEX-Tele at close to the same price as a new squier.
@permian11 if you play them back to back you'll see a huge difference. You can't get the same quality necks for that low of a price. The might play ok and sound ok to you, but there's no doubting they won't feel as good as a higher priced fender.
@jwblantCU i agree about the neck, but the rest is practically the same, i was going to varnish my neck and see what comes of it, if it fails its only 100 quid down the drain haha
Nice! :-)

@jwblantCU there are many squiers that are just fantastic, I've been converted into a believer

@jwblantCU they play fine and sound pretty damn good, you can always put a fender neck on if you wanted to
