I bought a Black 1995 N/a model on 4/29/1999. I still remember the day...lol It's still all original and it's the best car I have ever owned. If you take care of them they are built like tanks. The only repairs it's needed in the 12 years I've owned it are typical repairs for all cars...(alternator & replaced fuel injection lines). I'll be in the market for a newer car this year, but this one is a keeper!

@mockingbird83 not even close, the supra even to this day still looks great among modern cars, and in my opinion a hell of alot better than modern cars.... with stock rims they can look iffy, but with a proper pair of aftermarket rims and maybe 1" drop all around, it maintains its stance and looks extremely good... oh nd by aftermarket rims, i dont mean 26" nigger chrome ugly rims, but a nice set of Volk's, Kinesis, BBS or Rota's, and you need no more =)

The Top Gear that many people know of (Jeremy, Richard, James) started in 2002. BEFORE that, the old Top Gear was presented by Tiff, Vickie (both now host Fifth Gear along with Quentin Willson).

I know this cause I watched the old Top Gear when I was young, AND it took me 1 minute to confirm this info by using Google. Some people here should try that before jumping to conclusions and opening their mouth and spewing a bunch of crap

In response to the question below on what model it is, the SZ , GZ are jap spec cars. The one reviewed here is the version the UK got. It had a few extras as standard over the average jspec. Bigger injectors, steel turbo fans, bigger brakes, and more bhp to name a few. U can tell it's a Uk car if u see the sitck out headlight washers and Bonnet scoop :)

@sgntslaugh73r No disrespect mate, but If its your first car it will 99% chance of ending up written off ( trashed/crashed! ) With over 300bhp RWD and the nature of turbo charged cars they are not ideal to gain experience in. I speak from experience of getting a powerful car at a young, unexperienced age!! Mayby you could try an Ae86 or a BMW 325i, any RWD car with an average power, learn this for a year and the you could match the cars capabilities.

There were third-gear burnouts, pulling into the school parking lot at 35mph sideways, and one memorable occasion where he skipped school, got spotted by his dad, and then ran a few blocks in reverse at 45 or so. To my knowledge, the crazy bastard never totaled or wrote off a car.

When your moving quickly in a car with a manual transmission your not concentrating on speed but instead your revs, so you can time your shifts properly, you feel how fast the car is going and judge its speed, there's just no need for the speedometer to be in the middle

When you are doing proper performance driving you don't look at either the revs nor the speedometer -- you can hear, see and feel all of those more than adequately.

Tiff is obviously referring to the aesthetic impression and style of the car, i.e. how it presents itself and what type of car it tries to be. Tiff raced in LeMans, don't you think he knows how to read the instruments of a car properly?

Nope, it is Top Gear, 5th Gear (or Channel 5 for that matter) didn't even exist in 1993 (Look at the reg plate on the car - L-Reg - 1992-3). Tiff Needell used to present on Top Gear.
