@YoungJordanAI3 Job 28:25 To establish a weight for the wind, And apportion the waters by measure. The fact that air has weight was proven scientifically only about 300 years ago. The relative weights of air and water are needed for the efficient functioning of the world’s hydrologic cycle, which in turn sustains life on the earth. How would a person know that unless they were inspired by God?
humans dont understand how insignificant they are to anything in the universe. But aside from that the universe is the most beautiful thing to someone who doesn't look too deep into it.
@bombarderoazul You're saying that he's a myth but there's historical evidence from Roman historians who can account for that. Also if Jesus was a myth how come the dead are being raised up by his name alone in all around the world from Africa and even India.
@Faithspeaker Actually there is no historical evidence of Jesus outside the Bible, and if you really believe people are being raised from the dead, then you should write a scientific journal about it and maybe you can win a nobel prize. The claims you make are ridiculous since they are clearly made up stuff, use the internet to inform yourself, because superstition and the supernatural are non-existent, because they violate the laws of physics and chemistry. They have never been proven true.
@bombarderoazul What are you talking about? There are historical evidence from Roman historians that can answer for that so try looking a bit harder. Simple fact, even when they show proof or records of that person death on paper, people will always find excuses to debunk what actually happened. A person came into an operation table unconscious and died while having surgery.. That same person describes what the doctors had said and even objects that was used on that person in surgery. Explain.
@Faithspeaker I have looked into it and the evidence is very sketchy. We are talking about the most important event in history and his message has failed to reach most parts of the world. How can you justify that, and people coming back from the dead has never happened, unless they were never really dead, which is completely different. How about an account of a person that had been dead for ten years and then came back, look up any medical journal. Why doesn't god heal amputees?
@bombarderoazul You say its sketchy but there's more than one historical evidence account. you have just proved my last statement about no matter what proof you show them they will always find excuses. Jesus said go and preach the good news to the whole world, so it hasn't failed its getting there. How would u know that people who died never really died, where u there? Where u in the experience? What makes u say that? Did i say anything about a person being dead for years? i said days.
@bombarderoazul When a person heart stops beating, their brain shuts down and all activity in the body has been abolished at that point. these doctors that were operating on her/ the patient were certain of this. If they weren't they wouldn't of stated it on TV.
@Faithspeaker I think you just answered your own question, obviously this person lost conciousness in the operating table, this means that the doctors provided oxygen to the brain, even if the heart stopped beating. This proves absolutely nothing, I want a human that died in the 14th century to come back to life, not a unconscious person that died for a few moments. don't believe everything you see in TV, a lot of shows on tv are bogus they just try to get higher ratings.
@bombarderoazul Her heart and breathing stopped, her brain waves flatten and the blood drained from her head. She was clinically dead for the whole hour of that operation. It was a documentary and it gave an account of the doctors point of view. They themselves couldn't explain it. I tell you what, why don't you type in Pam Raynolds and you can see for yourself and come back and explain it.
@Faithspeaker you fail to see my point, in order to be clinically dead a doctor must pronounce her dead. Also this was during a surgery and doctors were in the operating room. You mean to tell me that the creator who made billions of galaxies, black holes, supernovas, etc, etc the best evidence he can give us is an unconscious half-dead patient in an operating table. And this is enough to convince you of god. I suggest you look up the word Delusion.
@bombarderoazul This isn't the only case there are many more.. And she was clinically dead for a whole hour, otherwise if she wasn't, why would they say she was clinically dead if she wasn't dead? The doctors themselves still can't explain how this was possible. All the evidence is all around us that God exist, but people like u, make him to resort to this, because you believe everything around you happened by chance. How could he get through to a person like that unless he proves it another way
@Faithspeaker God is all around us? when an earthquake kills over two hundred thousand people? is that proof of god? when a tsunami kills a quarter of a million people, is that proof of god? what about the imperfect world we live in. Unfortunately you can't think rationally, when you look for a pattern in the universe you make the assumption that god exists, without doing any research. It's because of people like you that it took such a long time to became an advanced civilisation.
@Faithspeaker The church said the Earth was flat. The church said the Earth was the center of the universe. They persecuted scientists for not believing in a message of benevolence and forgiveness. The majority of christians are homophobic. Or at least anti gay marriage.
@YoungJordanAI3 The reason why i had brought it up was because of the post that you made 4 months ago. Simple fact, if it was just men alone and not inspired by God, how is it that those same men in the bible said that the earth was round when we only figured that out a couple hundreds of years ago? You would be surprise the amount of things that's in the bible that science only found out a few hundred years ago. Although the bible isn't a book on science but on salvation.
@Faithspeaker The Mayans and Egyptians knew that the world was round, unlike most of western cultures that believed it was flat. Science deals with reason and evidence, while religion focuses on belief and faith.
It's either Science, Religion, or some extraterrestrial intervention...or something else for life to have sprung into existence on this planet.
@YoungJordanAI3 Job 28:25 To establish a weight for the wind, And apportion the waters by measure. The fact that air has weight was proven scientifically only about 300 years ago. The relative weights of air and water are needed for the efficient functioning of the world’s hydro-logic cycle, which in turn sustains life on the earth.. The relative weights of air and water are needed for the efficient functioning of the world’s hydro-logic cycle, which in turn sustains life on the earth. How would a person know that unless they were inspired by God?
@Faithspeaker Our mind is too limited to comprehend the vastness of this universe. The Bible was written from the perspective of people on this Earth and this Earth alone! It has nothing to do with the cosmos! No religion is the "right" one, there have been thousands of different religions in the history of mankind, who is to say which religion is better or more correct than another?
@YoungJordanAI3 I can understand where you're coming from, but when you hear things around the world that also shows proof from records where people that have been dead for days are being raised in the name of Jesus. The sickness and the incurable diseases in people's bodies are being healed.. what conclusion are you going to come to? What can science say to that? Simple fact is, people are ignorant to life after death and they don't believe that there is life after death.
@YoungJordanAI3 That would be amazing, and I believe it happens on some level, for some time. The only down side to that, is the universe is set to expire (MANY millions and billions of years of course), new star production rate is decreasing steadily etc, (there are some videos on it, search for "when will the universe end"). I'm gonna be sad :(
this is nice.. astronomy is the best. i been fascinated with stuff like this for a while now. go check out my video and song called ''to the stars'' im sure you'll like it. thanx.
yes they say it is metal. - In chinese they have 5 elements, the 5th being 'iron'. could 'iron' be the metal you talk of ? - would kinda make sense. but Im just throwing it out there.
Just because it is reflected light doesn't mean that it doesn't twinkle. The twinkling, or stellar scintillation, is due to air turbulance in the Earth's atmosphere.
The thing is, planets do twinkle. Try looking at the dimmer ones, like mars and saturn. Venus only doesn't seem to twinkle because of its high magnitude.
there are two stars: Sirius and Sirius B, Syrius is the massive one, and Syrius B is a white dwarf. Its a binary star system (two stars), like the majority of star systems are.
well let me explain. the light for example of some of these stars is so far away that at going at the speed of light it takes centuries, sometimes millions of years to arrive. for example. the sun takes 8 minutes and 19 seconds. however. a star like the north star takes 430 years and canis majoris takes 6,000. so lets say the north star would evaporate now, we would not know for 430 years she has gone and 6,000 years to know canis is gone. light goes at 300,000 km a second.
Where i can find a zoom to Sirius?. If you know really let me know ... post your comments. By the way really nice Sirius B, zooming on; I hope to see Sirius A soon.
had we not been perfectly placed with our sun little blonde kid we'd die too. Here's a thought we should all go find a perfect place in space to set by sirius, kinda like a campfire! if you get too close the fire you'll burn if you keep yourself distant from the fire you'll freeze and everybody knows freezing sucks!
