So you think it's a coincidence that the biggest changes were in the bride and groom then their close family and then their friends. Seems like a pretty strong corrolation between how well people know them and how their blood changes. It looks like any interference is pretty negligable.
I like the look on the grooms face when they kiss while the narrator is talking about his increase testosterome. The groom is gonna be a happy guy that night!:) All the best to them!
Rubbish. His testosterone spiked because of his fight or flight instincts kicking in from the realisation that'd he'd be pounding the same pussy for the rest of this life. And only once a week... if he's lucky, and if he's been good. He voluntarily put himself in the position of: no sex, no escape. My testestone would go through the roof too.
would have been interesting if the testosterone levels of the groom's friends were higher than the groom.. before and after the wedding afternoon delight?? (sick world.. i know)
That bride was a very good sport to allow blood to be drawn from the wedding party before and after the ceremony.
I still have to wonder if six years from now, the happy couple will be having a spirited "discussion" about something like household bills, and the wife will blurt out some accusation that the husband was less hormonally invested in the wedding than the bride's mom of the groom's dad.
LOL hahaah mine would have probably have doubled that day to hehe. Its interesting though. I would say it was a successful test of peoples emotions on a joyous occasion.
Hm... So in the future, we won't need to get married to make the chick feel special and instead have her pop these special hormone pills this guy is working on? Sign me the fuck up.
Curios Joke : social animal stuff, it would be interesting if someone can mention me another species that gather around before couple species are going to mate .. i don't know if there is another .. but you never know .. anyone ??
Que :I wonder If they were told that they are being tested for these hormones or not, you know "result effect" but even though by just thinking highest amnt. of testosterone from groom is fascinating, i am sure others (male) must hv thought abt sex by seeing that ceremony. Fascinating stuff. :D
I'm thinking "swarm of bees". Not sure of this but after the swarm has formed, the queen flies very high, followed by males, then one of them mates with her and all the males die.
thats fighting man ... competition. I mean, i am looking for something where no-one dies but they take part. You know gathering and all that. But good try though lol our brain growth has been to extreme compare to other species. That's why its still full of Mysteries, no fear though we are getting to know it.
wow, i dont think i've ever cared about anything scientific less than i do about this study. all this study has done for me, is make me realize i still hate weddings no matter what results they come up with.
WHY???? i cant hear anything the narrater says but the backroundnoise is superfucking loud! does anyone have any blinding insights whats wrong with my soundcard pleas help me
Why don't you listen to us! Find another person to narrate for the videos! Give this lady another job so that you people don't get guilty about laying her off.
So, a wedding is like experimenting being high with chemical reactions in our body, and the it's more noticable while being part of the wedding. This experimentation seems to give an argument to those who want to be married and have a gorgeous wedding... but will you continue the experimentation with other kinds of weddings like more private ones, more spontaneous ones, and variations based on cultural practices and settings?
This new neuroeconomics field would probably benefit from some kind of probe that you put on your person and continously monitors the blood throughout the day.
I think there are insulinmeters that does this, can that not be done with oxytocin or adrenaline?
you need a control. This experiment is void. waste of scientific minds.

this is stupid
The blood test obviously interferes with people's reaction to the wedding, or at least invalidates their results.

hanga73, Yes, a funeral study would be interesting. Probably, depression symptoms might be observed.
A similar study of people in their work environment might be insightful too!
