  • I agree the music doesn't suit the film in this trailer... this movie is so despressing :(

  • this is whats going to happen soon if we dont topple these governmentss

  • if you didnt cry at the end then i dnt what to say but you are not a human being

  • generic screaaam

  • Dont get me wrong, I LOVE this film, but... The adverts for it literally show every exciting bit that happens and makes it seem like a roller coster of a film, when in fact you just sit in front of it and watch the slow paced story line...

  • @mrharryman Yep, the trailer has very little in common with what it's like to watch the film

  • I hope we don't end up like this, at least not during our lifetime

  • @boston955 I hope not, either.

  • Still my favorite movie since it came out.

  • Depressing film

  • @badboymod totally

  • Anyone notice at 1:36 the explosion that doesn't even happen in the movie ???

  • whts the soundtrack at 1:06 plz

  • @schnacker41 shut up

  • @SuperNerfsquad Don't get me wrong! The movie was amazing and mortensen really acted the crap out of it!

  • 3214653789645790000000000000000000000001546000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000978000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

  • Howie Long Scream @ 2:10

  • I wish the book/movie went more into detail on how the world came to how it is

  • i saw the movie, it was a bit too depressing, but that just my opinion

  • @FlamableCookie read the book! it's bleaker than a syrupless pancake!

  • just read the book, amazing. never have i been so moved and engrossed. finished it at 4am blubbing like a girl! not sure to check out the film, looks good tho.

  • Duvall should have gotten an Oscar Nom for this.

  • ..needless to say I cried everytime.

  • This movie absolutely blew me away like no other. I watched it three days in a row, after which I read the book in two days.

  • read the book, watched the movie. As a father who knows nothing else matters apart from the security of your family, I cried every chapter! sorry if that sounds a bit soft but it is a great story.

  • Anyone notice the music after 1:30 sounds like the music from Ransom by Mel Gibson?

  • @lsheroon BELIEVE YOU ALL NEED TO BE SPEECHLESS, READY TO MEET YOUR MAKER, AFTER A GLORIOUSLY, LONG PAINFUL, TRAUMATIC DEATH.

  • It's the RETURN OF THE KING!!!

  • any movies liek this

  • What was the apocalyptic event? God? It was God wasn't it?

    God damn God.

  • Kid was annoying

  • @technicallyabsurd Great actor though for someone of his age.

  • 2:10 "He is an angel."

    "Yeahhhhhhhh"

  • i just finished watching this movie ,its just brilliant, thrilling with melancholic ambient.a worth watching movie.

  • We must all get it right now, so that we can be sure that we are somewhat capable, of being qualified enough to contribute to our own, as well as all of our, preparation for the final, world, front. All my people stay tuned for the next explosion that we bring to you, until the next time, set up your stuff, and prepare for it.

  • And I would once again like to sincerely thank everyone for taking time out to analyze this message and bearing witness to another precious moment well spent with me, and my word of wisdom. And once again as this continue to keep all you people out there posted, there’s only two years left from the year 2010, and I sincerely hope that all you people out there are keeping in mind, that there is absolutely no time, to be taking time for granted.

  • I love this movie it's great!! Any dad would do the same thing in that situation. I like the scene where they're around the fire talking to the old man. "Do you ever wish you would die? No. It's foolish to ask for luxuries in times like these."

  • This music doesnt really match the theme of the movie

  • tjeck out alle the bots in here, wow who paid them money for giving this trailer credit? You are fake, get lost. Ok movie though. It needs more action and more gangs killing eachother. 7/10

  • still reading the book (3/4's way through) and so far the film looks really accurate! right down to the guys on the truck and the skulls on sticks, I would really recommend reading the book first it is amazingly written :)

  • @thursday2011 awesome i just got the book today!

  • @qazwsxasds wait... are you talking about transformers... this is the road... you're a robot aren't ya? come on, youtube we have to kill all terminators from Jurassic park!

  • i thought that no country for old men sucked, do u think i will like this movie? because the trailer is pretty good

  • Great movie, Great book.

But, the ulgy dude with the ax is not in the movie at any point, nor is a similar mentioned in the book.

Looks like he's running at one point, could have made a great action scene,

  • I used to be straight as an arrow, but then I watched "Brokeback Mountain" on filmsi.co.cc, and I became gay!

  • @astheboxmanrides you can't choose your sexuality. but your a robot so... whatever

  • does anyone else notice the fake explosion when the man shoots the flare into the house? The explosion is not in the but or even the movie, it just doesn't fit.

  • this actually will happen if we in the whole world do not stop our petty differences & Greed... WW3 IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! BEWARE OF THE CORPORATE ELITES!!! FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT!!!

  • No way this victory music needs to be in the trailer. The whole movie is about sad and gruesome things..... no need for happiness.

  • not my fav movie

  • The way I understood it they started out in Tennessee and trecked across the Blue Ridge and across South Carolina. That would explain the plantation house.

  • this movie is awesome..going to watch this in webmovietube

  • I have to read this book during the summer for my highschool since im going to be a freshman and i gotta say that Im really excited and cant wait to go buy the book and begin to read it. The book seems really good, especially when i read the description along with the letter telling me to read it fromk my highschool. Cant fucking wait!!

  • To all the George Costanzas: Please read the book first... Whether you liked the film or not, it can only ever be a hollowed out version of this story..

  • This is a great movie, I haven't finished it exactly, but The Road is a great movie its like a real-life apocalypse, its very touching, a father, and son making it out alive in practically a Fallout setting. And no bots I don't wanna fucking go to your sitemoovie.co.cc, I have my own websites that I'm not gonna spam the fuck up with.

  • 2:11 Lolwhut?

  • Viggo Mortensen.. Makes me proud to be a dane. Great actor :)

  • Its gonna be shit if this really happens.

  • @DannySmith300 Thnx Man!

  • Great yet disturbing! I saw it a month ago for the first time and it stays with me. As for what caused this , My guess would be an asteroid strike. Again well done and deep movie.

  • @le238man my guess is that the sun released those loops of fire or whatever like it always does and it was sent towards the earth. But this time the earth magnetic field failed and caused it to get through. My teacher said if that happened in real life, the world would be burnt just like in this movie.

  • I just noticed, but the movie is said to take place on the eastern seaboard, but the map that the father points to is the Texas Gulf Coast, you can see corpus christi bay and baffin bay... haha but its still a GREAT MOVIE! :)

  • Very sad but amazing movie. Just like the book. It pissed me off when this movie didn't do too well. It should have been at the top in the box office. at least #3. And Viggo Mortensen plays all his character so well. It also gets me upset how they don't use him to his full potential

  • Great Movie!! It was very emotional to the point that I began to question the value of the things that we take for the granted.

  • This movie is good, but it's for the mature audience, not for the infantiles!

  • I love this film, after I finished watching it I just couldnt get it out of my head

  • When they let Robert Duvall walk off, i cried, but when they caugh the thief, i amost drowned in tears.

  • @Herpkid56 i know what you mean, those 2 scenes really stood out, i came here hoping to find those 2 scenes.

    no such luck :/

  • It's been about 3 months since I've seen this movie and I'm still freaked out. It's terrifying to see such a realistic possibility in a 2 hour time segment and then think about it really coming true.

  • I'll say it again: I'm not that fond of the apocalypse/survival genre, because it IS usually so bleak. "The Road" seems pretty fucking bleak at first blush, but there IS a triumph to experience within it, and for those who are willing to take the chance to experience that triumph, they'll understand it when they see it. It's amazing.

  • as for the 35 dislikes, why don't you stick to the Cartoon Channel.....

  • This movie is great!

It's Bright, Bubbly, Fun, Happy and excellent for the whole family!!!

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

If you want to be depressed.

  • on 1:56 kodi does his "let me in" look :D

  • I agree with Motherfer 19 on the book. The movie is a faithful attempt at bringing the book to life on screen - I doubt that anything could come close to the elegantly crafted horror, and humanity on the edge that the book so eloquently depicts . OuchI put this work with the British movie "Threads" and the US "Testament" at really getting to the lunacy of (nuclear?) war and how it attacks - What? The cleverer we get at controlling nature the more dangerous we become to ourselves,

  • @peterobs Because we CAN'T control Nature,we can only bastardize it and corrupt it,this is what the rothchilds, morgans, and rockefellers will learn.

  • 1. I dont remember seeing an explosion in the movie.

    2. Slaughterhouse scene--> HOLY... SHIT.

  • Personally dont feel this film captured the book as well as it could have. It's like they made it too Hollywood in my opinion. It lost some of its soul in the process.

  • Howie scream @ 2:11 YYEEAAAAARRRRRRRGH!!!!!

  • the hangover 2 trailer /watch?v=FLoQOuCq2sk

  • that slaughterhouse really gave me the kreeps when i saw the movie 2 days ago.. god forbid the world will come to an end like this...

  • the beginning of the song on 1:23 reminds me lord of the rings song!

  • @Glebastik Hah, Viggo mortenson was in that too!

  • i'm reading this book for my english assignment

  • This is a Great but very sad movie.....

  • this story lets us know that the humans are monsters! hey but not all of us it's scares the hell out of me if the world collapse like that

  • just finished the book. liked it very much. now to watch the movie...

  • it's quite strange to see Aragarn in this movie...

  • top movie

  • I dont think they should have used victory style music in this trailer. the film isnt like that and does not suit that kind of music

  • @warwick2155 i agree, careless choise

  • @warwick2155 then nobody would see the film if the trailer looked depressing n gruesome lol i like this trailer better since it portrays how awsome this movie was

  • @warwick2155 Yeah they pretty much straight up lie with that music, 'hey this movie wont depress the shit out of you, please watch it'

  • @warwick2155 good point. I agree

  • @warwick2155 yeah, i read the book, it doesnt need that kind of music at all, im gonna watch it today :D

  • @warwick2155 does it really matter? i mean, i think it suits it, this movie does have a father/son theme to it

  • @warwick2155 They should have used Eyehategod's Take As Needed For Pain for this movies soundtrack...

  • This trailer is much better than the first one

  • i am gonna be 35 that year

  • I watched this movie like 30 minutes ago it was very very good I recomend you all watching it!

  • Hey, out of these what do you think the disaster was? Asteroid impact, Yellowstone caldera, or nuclear war?

  • @1klfleming The Rapture

  • @1klfleming

i think a super volcano is implied

  • @ebisude Yeah . . . that would explain the ash and nuclear winter . . . but it wouldn't burn EVERYTHING. I say asteroid impact . . . bc he saw a bright flash of light across the sky and then the glow (the explosion) ejecta raining back down would easily cause these fires.

  • i like this movie but the ending is so sad.... :(

  • Is that aragorn

  • @chvyant yes it is. of course if it were really Aragorn, he'd kill all of the cannibals with a sword and not a revolver with 2 rounds in it. haha!

  • omg, i just watch the movie and its so realist, very detailed........perfect ending

scary because it can happen.......i cant even imagine being in that postion

  • i just finished reading the book, and im not sure but i think its the best book i've ever read in my life. This looks a bit shit, but all trailers look shit.

  • @NICKG1Z Ignore the trailer, one of the best, gripping and emotional films I've ever seen, I'd always reccomend it :)

  • it's horror movie?I mean really horror

  • Were they fighting cannibals?

  • @aciddeathadder lol maaaybe.......just watch it

  • like the movie of Fallout :D

  • @vEtOnTeC hey, Book of Eli was more fallout-esque, this was natural disasters, Book of Eli was from some kind of WMD. watch it if you haven't already!!!

  • This movie stuck with me for a long time after I watched it.

  • me too sad but good

  • there is no guy with axe in movie or film. y the hell is he in the trailer. i thought it would be a good addition.

  • where can i watch this movie online for free without any downloads?

  • @alavez789 lemonparty (dot) org

  • the book was really good i want to watch the movie now!

  • does anybody know what the song from 1:23 to 2:17 is called?

  • Okay.

  • the second trailer is so much better than the first, it grasp the jist of the movie and the novel so much better, the first is just a marketing trick, no wonder some mainstream folks were disappointed after watching it, they must've expected a thriller according to that horrible trailer

  • I know this isn't the sort of movie where you make a sequel and that even if there were one it would kind of ruin the first one but i'd love to see another movie set just after the disaster that showed the gradual decline of society and showed how everyone went from trying to survive to being desperate cannibals

  • I AM LEGEND should have been banned under the trades descriptions act ... anyone who's read the book will be scratching their heads wondering if theres another book of the same name.... though it is a good example of hollywood dumbing down a complex story just to fill a couple more seats...the saddest thing is that its just one of bloody hundreds of examples from hollywood...

    I read the book

  • fallout the movie

  • Just watched this one, i could barely tell it was a movie. The acting was so (fucking) good it was like being one of the characters. AWESOME MOVIE!

  • I really love Guy Pearce. When he came on screen in this movie, I was like "HEEEY!!!" This is indeed a very great movie. Though Mr. shayngreen was pointing fingers at "I AM LEGEND", I think that was good movie too. Movies that are made based off of a noval are mostly inspired by novals and won't neccessarily be exactly like it in most cases. So I, for one, tend not to take movies like that seriously. I'm open minded =)

  • one of the greatest stories about the human spirit. so many great messages in one book.

  • so fucking epic i really wanna watch this

  • This movie sadly didn't got the publicity it deserved.

  • @sixwing8

the Sheep couldn't handle this movie

  • Why cant they farm?

  • @Feliexxxxxxxx

    Bollwevils.

  • @Feliexxxxxxxx no sunlight means the crops wouldn't be able to go

  • I'll never forget this book as long as I live my life. No other book, (not that I read much) or movie has ever, ever moved me like this one has. I still think about it when I look at my little boy. Especially in the shit we live in today. Cormack McCarthy is one hell uv a writer, and you can forget about happy endings with this author. Its called REALITY.

  • Comment removed

  • @Scribblenautsguides Fuck You! Ever thought about putting a spoiled alert before you give away the ending? Dick...

  • @motherfer19, i agree to a degree, but one can argue that he did give this novel a happy ending by letting the boy meet up with another group that may of may nor be the good guys. I mean it could have ended with the kid wandering of into the bleak. No, i feel that the author did indeed hope for the best, in the end.

    but thats just me

    cheers :)

  • @laceyschism

and you kow what........ thank God for that cause I would have been even more tormented thinking that precious little boy was all alone out there. But yes, I do agree that good CAN happen when sometimes the worst seems inevitable. There is talk of a second trailer, wonder where I could take a look at that.

  • @motherfer19 -I totally agree. Amazing book

  • @motherfer19 The Count of Monte Cristo is also a good book. It's realistic, the book is not a happy one. But it's fantastic.

  • If all of you keep over consuming this IS reality!

  • If all of you keep over consuming this IS reality!

  • I thought this movie was gonna be about zombies

  • This movie is so sad, but still very good!!

I hated the death scenes and the screaming ):

After I saw it, I was shaking and I started to cry..

It really makes you think! <3

This is a movie you should see and never complane about it! <3

  • LOVED this movie, absolutely LOVED the book too.

  • This is an excellent film, I have no doubt, but this particular trailer seemed hugely misleading. To me, it makes it seem like one of those generic, formulated films with a happy ending, instead of what the book envisioned; these two human lives in their realism; in their long, mundane, drawn out lives of terror; through the bond between this father and son, the will of relentlessly pushing forward, through the volatile depths of a world already devoid of life, hope, and civilization, lives on.

  • def one of my favorites

  • kind of reminds me fallout 3 :D

  • The Book and the Movie were very good, in case your confused by my name, indeed there are Mexicans who are educated enough to read English Literature. lol

  • Comment removed

  • @DrOstentorious better than the other trailer that was dominated by charlize theron

  • At 0:42 it reminds me of arefu on fallout3

  • I noticed at the end of the movie the black "thief" and man with the family were missing at least one of their thumbs. Any mention of that in the book.

  • @ekimtoor No mention of that in the book

  • ich habe den heute geguckt und ich sage nur der film ist der absolute hammer.das ende ist zwar traurig aber die mitte des filmes ist echt spannend und mitreißend.!gucken lohnt sich
