  • no diss intended, but THE defining instruments for Wes are this Yamaha and his PRS guitars . They're way way better than Jackson Warriors, i donno why he didn't just go back to PRS

  • @BewareTheWater11 wes doesnt play PRS guitars anymore because they wouldn't let him make a signature model from scratch, thats why he switched over to yamaha because they agreed to let him make his own signature model from scratch.

  • I want this guitar so hardly!!!!!!! :'((

  • That's what she said! 3:06

  • I'd rather see wes demo it. This guy is fucking annoying as shit!

  • I think the PRS's he used to play were nicer! They feel wicked to play too(PRS)

  • Does any other guitar have the same type of sound that this guitar has?

  • Hmm I wonder? Plug this guitar into an axe-fx and dial in a djent tone.

  • again the same idiot that doesn't get the time to learn a few riffs or licks of limp bizkit and black light burns

  • @gaspas it's a fucking guitar review, not a cover video. not to mention the possible issues if the review contained material under copyright . if you want to listen Limp Bizkit or BLB riffs go find them, youtube have plenty of them. next time think before splattering your nonsense.

  • I LOVE Yamaha guitars, this one sounds fab.

    But it's BUTT UGLY !!

  • i am very very pissed Wes switched form this monster of a guitar to Jackson. Jackson is great, but very few guitars are worth comparing to this Yamaha. What a shame

  • What is the Song in Cleansound? ;o

  • Just sayin'... I think recently switched to Jackson.

Watch the Gold Cobra video, you'll see what I mean.

  • @themodernguitarist Pretty sure they're Ibanez.

  • @rockadio1992

Its most definatly a Jackson Warrior. The horns are more curved the the Xiphos (which you're probably thinking about). Plus, the headstock is the traditional Jackson headstock. Its thinner and more curved then the Ibby headstock.

  • @themodernguitarist Ahhh, ok. My bad. Yeah the Xiphos.

  • fuck it im buying this

  • I don't get why to show of the signature model he doesn't play anything that is really of the style of the designed (i.e ANY meaty limp bizkit riffs.) seeing as that's one of the main reasons guitars have extra scale in modern metal.

  • @snifferrs Limp Bizkit 2011 Gold Cobra? ;-)

  • Cool Starcaster,bro

  • are you gay!!!

  • Yamaha is so under rated

  • @sydfloydpink you are wrong, Yamaha is a great guitar.

  • this guitarrist sucks

  • Yamaha, LMFAO!!!!!!!!!

  • @DimebagVision Honestly, they're better than Ibanez (his last endorsement). But I'd prefer that Wes go back to PRS. I love the Yamaha model, though.

  • @jacobdallen2

Ibanez makes great acoustic electrics. I tried one out and fell in love with it. I'm not too crazy about the electrics though. So I'd probably agree that Yamaha is better than Ibanez

  • fuck that im getting me a James Hetfield Iron Cross by ESP

  • downtune!

  • he looks so little with this guitar in his hands

  • fake and gay !!!

  • fuck that shit, throw that fucker into drop a and call it a day

  • @IAmTheTreeJesus7 Wes doesn't use Drop A tuning. Wes uses a unique tuning that is basically Drop B tuning, however, the 6th string is tuned to a low C#. Personally, I've learned all of Limp Bizkit's songs in Drop C#, however, I've started using this tuning more often.

  • I want this guitar !!

  • What amp is he using

  • I don't like when people try to show what guitars sound like. It also depends on the strings and the amp.

  • Is there a guitar that's very similar to this one except it's cheaper?

  • @ed391929 Sadly....no. This is probably the first guitar of its kind. I mean, look...it's Wes Borland. He's an underrated guitar god.

  • @jacobdallen2 that sucks

  • paul did a review of the dean dime from hell ML too. lol he tried to play a twist on cowboys from hell that sounded nothing like the song. xD

  • and this month we'll be looking at the ugliest guitar i've ever seen

  • the electronics are kinda like the Fender Starcaster. this guitar is very influenced by the Fender starcaster.

  • my dream guitar ....

  • Awesome sound :O

  • I wanna buy this!

    1500$ ....just great -.-

  • How much does it cost?

  • @ed391929 $1500

  • @cipher619 That's it?

  • @NMages20 Yeah, I believe thats what the price was. Looked it up on the Guitar Center website. Not too bad really

  • wat abitch

  • which song does he start playing from 5:37 onwards? please can anyone tell me

  • @smartsharpkiller Plus can any one tell me what type of playing this is ...like which genre would best describe this type of playing

  • @smartsharpkiller

He's not playing a song, just a random made up "riff"

  • he looks gay the wrong guy for the vid...

  • this isnt Wes talking...but ... ok

  • I WANT TO HEAR THE FUCKING GUITAR. Who cares about the techniques if the guitar sounds GREAT

  • Wes Borland = One Of The Most Underrated Guitarists

  • this thing looks effing dumb, but sounds pretty good .i liked that treble pickup tone.

  • LOVING the overdrive on that!

  • bitch metal setting have you ever heard metal before paul? obviously not seeing as how every time youre supposed to play metal you fail horribly

  • thig guitar is HUGE (in size and "power") but this body design sucks :P

  • Nice guitar and despite this guy being talented, it is obvious that metal is not his forte.

  • why throw on all those effects, makes it impossible to hear the true tone, and this dude is terrible

  • @hawro challenge him to a battle, if ya think he is that bad

  • nice guitar, shit hat.

  • i want this guitar i've always loved those big semi hollow guitars but my bands hate them cause of the way they look

  • FFS!!!

when ur demoing the overdrive settings, just fuckin demo the overdrive settings!

if you want to demo delay, or overdrive with delay, do it seperately!!!

  • Gay,Gay,Gay,Bla,bla,bla

  • fugly guitar

  • I like his Ibanez more...

  • Better scratch that FORMER shit buddy, it's finally time Wes returned to where he belongs! GOLD COBRA 2010 motherfucka!!!

  • how much was that guitar??

  • this guitar sounds fuckin sweet gotta pick one up

  • that tremolo is f'n sweet.

  • oooh,what a sweetie!...

  • nice hat

  • @jahnosha guitar designed by wes borland and reviewed by elmer fudd

  • @valdezapg best joke ever!

  • @valdezapg lmfao!

  • Clean Bridge sounds like with a chorus/reverb.. pretty amazing.

  • Paul Riario is such a good guitarist but i really hate it when he talks like half the video

  • @torquemenistan Yeah he talked WAY too much for an 8 minute test video. More than half of it was talking. He didn't even play a Limp Bizkit song with it, which IS WHAT MOST POSSIBLE CUSTOMERS WOULD WANT TO HEAR! That's why they're thinking about it in the fucking first place.

  • Like he said, it didn't come with the right things, and I think he wants to play it as out of the box as possible.

  • Strings*

  • hahah yea man so true..

  • @Drratburn These guys NEVER use songs that somebody else wrote. Instead they get this guy to make up tunes. Which is strange, as this guy has the magical ability to wrangle horrific tones out of the best gear.

  • @ibanezbloke

    Horrifically awesome.

  • Limp Bizkit 2010 Gold Cobra !

  • @snifferrs MY MOUTH WATERS JUST READING YOUR COMMENT!!!

  • @snifferrs Too bad that didn't happen D:

  • @snifferrs 2011, not 2010 xd since 28 June it's avaiable on iTunes

  • wish to have one T_T

  • and its only $1500 while a gibson es is like $3000

  • @SithJohn93 exactly

  • and gold cobra comes out in 2010 lb iz back

  • Yamaha CV820WB

  • whats the model name?

  • lmao let stop me talking and start playing.... then more talking xD

  • god i love this guitar! give me that and the yamaha TVL for a more bass clean sound and i'm a happy man,ok still not a good player...but happy:D

  • Stop yapping, start playing!!!!

  • i dont know if anybody noticed, but the carvings on the guitar is similar to Borland's tattoo on his forearms

  • They're f-holes. Nothing particularly new. Most if not all hollow body and semi hollow body guitars have them.

  • is that for sale

  • yes, for about $2000 or € 1700

  • hmmm, great guitar, but you tested it like any other semi hollow body,

but it is a metal guitar you played more traditional semi hollow stuff

  • That usually tells you if the guitar is going to be versatile or not. I think it's more that he isn't playing Wes' style than it has to do with any kind of amping. Don't forget in a lot of songs they are detuned and the bass guitar is layering. This sounds great to me.

  • very true, but i would have liked to hear him playing some metal stuff as well as i've never heard this guitar being used by wes in the context of a band or on its own apart from the total guitar vid

  • The Video "Wes Borland Monster Riff" sounds a lot like the LB sound. I'm guessing that vid is detuned to B or something.

  • @Whyrendog i think wes uses 1 and 1/2 step down.

  • @SithJohn93 yea he does.

  • yes i second that, this guitar needs to be played wild!

  • but you already now it can do that stuff? so this shows that it's not just a metal guitar, that it can play how it looks and it's polar opposite

  • would it be nice to try this on hi gain head like a dual rectifier, to hear what it can be...

  • really unique guitar

  • god damn...paul is an awesome guitarist...!

but damn that's wes borlands guitar... !! tune that fuckin guitar down to C sharp or low B and play some new metal riffs!instead of that 80's soloing shit!

  • @noavaro new metal riffs? wtf

  • @noavaro wouldnt exactly call 80's soloing shit but at the same time I have a feeling who ever wants to buy this guitar wants to hear the low end roar

  • Cool guitar, I like it! :-D

  • "componentry"? Did you just fucking say componentry? Paul, you make my ears bleed, but not in a good way

  • actually, componentry is a legitimate word. look it up

  • meh.....

  • i wouldnt put emg's in that.

    dick

  • Crap, just like all 6 string EMG pickups.

  • my god you can't play that rock n' roll shredding early 80's shit on a wes borland signature guitar. jeeeeez!

  • Is it Ya-Maaa-Ha or Ya-m-haa?

  • Ya-Maaa-Ha

  • tu puta madre

  • I wonder why he ditched/lost his ibanez endorsement.... this new guitar is awesome though i must say.... ive always loved yamaha's acoustics

  • During his time in Limp Bizkit Wes endorsed by Ibanez but decided to end the collaboration, since Ibanez wanted him to modify one of their current guitars and market as a Wes Borland signature, while Wes himself wanted to be able to design a guitar from the ground up to create his own dream guitar.

    wikipedia is your friend XD

  • wiki is open source for the most part and can change daily.... thanks tho....

  • Who plays that stuff on a Wes Borland guitar i mean REALLY.

  • man i want this guitar , amazing

  • great guitar! lame guitarist!

  • no way mate, wes is amazing, the rest of limp bizkit might be douche but wes is a fucking legend

  • this guys is a whammy whore!

  • @dreamtheaterz28 i think you like whammy whores!!!!

  • If the neck is so fast you can really 'burn' on it, then show us!

  • cool guitar

  • i think the stupidest thing to do in a video testing a guitar is to use delay

i mean come on its a bit more important to know how the guitar sounds without effects isnt it????

  • Wow. Just... that's my dream guitar right there o.O I wonder what string size Wes uses.

  • Dude why is it that everytime they put up vids of guitars... they always play the same type of style... this is boring.... they need to really show it off... sucks. guitar is awesome but... make it impressive.

  • I know what you are talking about. When I see this guitar I really think about a heavy rhytme guitar not about a shred machine.

But I also never have seen them playing anything else than fast.

  • he was about to say shit when he was explaining the tremolo stuff

  • the sound of that guitar likes me wuoooow

  • i think this guy is GAY :D no really :D

  • youre an idiot.

  • Yeah I'm pretty sure he is lol

  • He is back to Limp Bizkit now:))

  • heres hopeing the clamp system becomes standard for guitars with tremlo systems

  • Ohh yeah..

  • this guy is gay??

  • believe it

  • wow, so original, no tone knob, this is just awesome! when i first saw wes playing i thought i looked compleyley stupid, but really, wes looks the best with it lol.

  • Like in the closet with you?

  • speaks like a gay plays like a Man

  • Do you care more about the guitar or the guy talking?

    seriously, get over it.

  • In this case, definitely the guy. He really needs to be locked away somewhere.

  • Lol!

  • OMFG a fagolo

  • Man I love the tone of that ulgy bastard...

  • That guy has your dream job and probably plays better than all of you combined. His demos are helpful (unlike your stupid comments).

  • Damn dude, why does it matter?

  • AWSOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!, but i think it needs those dot things on the frets to tell them apart

  • the difference between mid gain and hi gain is so subtle.. i can't really hear it.. but I think I am gonna get this guitar.. sadly the only review I get is from this and the total guitar where wes played it...

  • That guitar just looks so awsome !

  • good tone is subjective

  • Nevermore's tone isn't the be all and end all of metal tone.

  • i believe nevermore plug their guitars direct into an engl invader. sounds good yes, like many others using this setup (i believe for example felsilent). They dont need anything else cuz their music is heavy riff based and that sound works for them. Wes borland is however; a soundfreak! which i happen to love. he designs his own guitars and uses crazy effects, hes taken much more care for his sound than most metal like players. just listen and enjoy carefully cuz you wont hear this very often.

  • A good metal tone should first and foremost compliment the particular music and style of the artist.

  • why can't you just say you PREFER the metal tone of nevermore as opposed to saying it's "THE GOOD" metal tone, as if that's a fact, as opposed to an opinion. Not trying to have a go at you, just saying is all.

  • this thing can do metal look who plays it wes borland he plays metal!!!!
