Is it okay to leave the governer arm inside when after you remove the white governer gear? I've seen some people remove that black arm - seems like you just leave it in. What do you think?

Does taking off the governer just let it rev higher or does it do something else. I have a 5 horse (I think) tecumseh and I don't know if it will help it much because it seems to rev real high right now.

Also can adjusting your valves wrong create backfiring?

the gov limits the reves at 3600 on most motors and when u remove it the revs can get up to 5000+ but you dont want to keep it reved up full or else your going to throw you rod.

which is why you replace the stock billet rod with a higher strenght and quality rod

the governor does limit the revs on the top end but also the bottom. when the revs drop below a certain level it will give the throttle an automatic blip until the revs stay above the set level. it usually only happens when the engine is cold.

Honda clones are, true Honda is not. If you mean jenuine Honda engine then go inform yourself. They're built in EUA, Europe ( France, GB, Italy ) and Asia ( Japan ).

You might be mistaked because a Honda car which is --assembled-- in China. Also people misunderstand the meaning of made and assembled. They only assemble in China.

he took the electric out beacuse he is putting a remote kill in and the low oil was removed so when you go around corners the engine does not shut off

Horizontal shaft engines are just like the ones in this video. Vertical shaft engines are the ones on a lawnmower with the drive shaft coming out of the bottom of the engine. Running a horizontal engine a little sideways shouldn't be too bad, but if its more than 30ish degrees, it might screw up the float in the carb.

No the gear should either be bypassed and felt alone or completly removed if you dont remove it it could break off and destroy your engine

Is it ok to pull the slider tube out of the governor gear and turn the governor shaft away from moving objects instead of punching out gear and installing set screw?

@dldjled ok simple fix take the part of the rod that sits out of the block on top under the gas tank cut it low open the case and get the rest of it out pull the flywheel use a punch pop out the rod from the back now what i do is cut the rod shoter and tap it back in but im cheap so do what you want

you can get clones form online stores and other places like that basically any engine will work like this because all the clones and the hondas (including this motor) are all the same
