This was a wonderful movie. The commercials--without going into too much detail--did the movie zero justice. Too bad it did so poorly in theaters and got beat by Up at the awards shows (wonderful film, but I like the humor in this movie much better). Seems like all my favorite movies are animated features based on novels about animals by an Englishman and didn't make much money.
I hope there will be more animated features or shorts done with the characters from this movie...it would be a shame to let them go to waste or end up in some collector's private display case.
@BobHershey I was thinking the same thing. It would be such a shame for the puppets to end up gathering dust somewhere, after all the time and creativity it took to create them. Interestingly, I just read an article in which Wes Anderson mentioned possibly using the character puppets in some sort of television Christmas program.
You are aware that this is one of 20th Century Fox's official YouTube profiles, right? And that you're promoting illegal film download sites in the comments of one of their videos? Nice job. I prefer to PAY for films to support those who work hard making them. You should too.
The people who spend years on a film are hard-working. Apparently you aren't. Whether or not you think this movie is crap, one shouldn't be talking about film pirate sites on one of a film studio's official YouTube channels.
There's some sort of wrong interpretation. Producers pay for the hard work of the people who made a movie. Their work is allready paid. All the money you pay goes to a distributio company; then they take care of the producers getting their money back.
I love it, with stop motion animation, you can animate out the little mistakes people make but Wes keeps it in, he likes to show the flaws in characters, it makes them so much more human. I love his movies
That's a very nice (and true) message, but it is out of place and irrelevant here. We're talking about an animated acceptance speech video by Wes Anderson.
Hey, Fox Searchlight! I suggest adding these keywords to this video:
special achievement award National Board of Review Weasel acceptance speech
And maybe "Mole" or "rabbit". (Did that female rabbit character have a name or even a voice? I know Mole was voiced by James Hamilton. Was Molly Cooper this particular puppet/character's voice?)
Molly Cooper is credited as "Rabbit Girl" on IMDb. That's the only character in the whole list who might qualify as the character seen here. Based on what I've seen in re-watched trailers (I've only seen the film itself once), I think this particular rabbit character we see in this video is Mario Batali "Rabbit"'s wife.
I love the humor they threw in, for example, him talking about the names that were going to go above his head and the "and Payton for animating this" line at the end. When this film is nominated for Oscars, I'd like to see its characters make an appearance onstage somehow, just like how Flik and characters from A Bug's Life appeared on stage and the microphone was lowered for them at the 1998 Academy Awards.
oh fuck, wes anderson is a furry

I think it'd say on IMDB. I know that the male rabbit in the movie who was cooking near the end was voiced by Mario Batali.
