  • i enjoyed the music until i just noticed that it was just a comercial for christianity.

  • @johauHAU I think the message of this song is different for every one of us.

  • @spacemunkey2012 but not meant so.

  • cool -curtis

  • How Come theese guys are not famous ?? ...

  • @SheltonJ1990 They are in the goth community. They're not mainstream-style autotune shit therefore they aren't super duper famous.

  • @SheltonJ1990 they are intelligent, the mainstream seems to shun intelligence

  • I live in Australia, and I found out about VNV Nation in October via youtube.

I have not been able to find any of their albums anywhere, I could probably download a torrent, but I want to pay for it, I like it so much that I want to have a piece of it; disk, case, booklet and everything.

If anybody could give me the name of any shop in this country that has their stuff, I would greatly appreciate it.

  • @SOM3BOZO I'd say your best bet in getting one of their CD's is to look and order it on the internet. There are plenty of places to order CD's online.

  • @SOM3BOZO Try amazon.com

  • I must have hit the replay button 50 times.

  • Ill spin this one in just about any club, boots go thump!

  • A million deserved views.

  • I have no idea why but I can so see G-man from Half Life 2 singing this to Gordon Freeman. I just personally think it fits the series.

Nitzer and Front are a little on the harder side. Covanent Apop frozen Plasma, Colony 5 And One, would be more like VNV

  • I would love to see VNV Nation live, but apparently groups hate Florida, USA. The closest anybody comes is Atlanta, GA. If I'm lucky, maybe Tampa, FL

  • @kreeepyk0 I know what you mean, but VNV Nation is coming to the Orpheum in Tampa on Feb. 18 2012...

  • I love intelligent music!!

  • @RammsteinRyan It's Enlightened according to my intellectual SatGuru, though he wishes there was an alternative term.

  • @RammsteinRyan I love intelligence in any manifestation.

I had the honor of checking out the Masquerade while I lived near Atlanta for a few years. I heard from friends before I left that it was up for sale. Is it still there?!?! Because that would just make me very happy to hear...it was one of the best. Totally beat City Club in Detroit...

  • @cailida I saw Faith and the Muse at the Masquerade in 2000. It was a great show.

  • @Casterday1

The Masqerade is awesome. I lived in GA. for a few years, and before I left, I heard it was about to bite the bullet for some reason or another. That was in 06'....I'm so glad to hear it's still around! That place is amazing!!!! :D

  • They gonna be in Montreal at Club Soda on December 3 XD Oh yes! :)

  • Djs play this shit too much.

  • @rsylverwind where?

I have yet to experience the extreme pleasure of hearing this in a club

  • @rsylverwind dont hear it in any clubs here well we dont really have gothic clubs here

  • Seeing them In consert in December!!! <3

  • I had started to drift off (yeah i know how could stop paying attention to such an awesome whatever) but i tuned in just in time to hear Ronan Harris say "i'm still talking but you're not listening." It was seriously creepy.

  • Even if you aren't into industrial music, the lyrics of this group are always amazing and thought provoking.

  • @Re1Zer0 this is nowhere near industrial although i agree this is a great song ^^

  • @deathgift07 agreed its more on the line of ebm synthpopish

  • BEST song ever.... Love it! <3<3<3

  • my style:D

  • Everyone has (at least) one song that defines them. This is one of mine.

  • @XtortionB3ar same here

  • One of the best shows I ever saw was VNV Nation at Nation (a club) in DC. I believe it was in 2004 before Nation closed. Ronan dedicated the song Perpetual to the DC freak scene that night because we took care of them and did our best to make them feel at home. I miss my DC people.

  • VNV Nation - Illusion ( RMX by DJ Zeraph)

  • AWESOME ****5*****

  • Brilliant

  • Its all VERY good music though.

  • ~ If I could change your mind, I wouldn't save you from the path you wander. In desperation dreams, any soul can set you free. And I still hear you scream, in every breath, in every single motion! Burning innocence the fire to set you free!! ~

  • 54 people need thier mind changed

  • Their music is the type that no matter where you are & what mood you are in, it puts you into this ease & trance that just overwhelms all senses & make you believe in the illusions on your mind..

  • sorry folks changed how i define this tune, now added to my alternative industrial new wave playlist

  • this is funny I haven't been able to find this song for a LONG time (didn't know group or name) and at one point I actually space and lose track of the lyrics and when he says "I'm still talking and you're not listening!" I snap back into it. XD

  • is this just a considence or does this song has almost same intro as (Straight to video remix) by Mindless self indulgence?

  • @simuuB mindless self indulgence, as much as theyre alright, rip off so many tracks. only difference is the guy whining over the top of it.

  • 2:01

I was reading a comic when I heard that and I was like "Holy shit!"

  • @AquaPhoenix2006

    I could see how lol

  • 49 people need to be garroted

  • This song reminds me of one of my exes and how she acts about everything. Then I sit back and think and have to admit that it reminds me of a lot of people that I know. VNV Nation have certainly gotten the human race pegged.

  • how old are vnv nation?

  • @keyscott1 I've read they've been out since the 90's

  • VNV nation is such a powerful band, their lyrics blow my mine and make me open my eyes to the world, if this is your first time listening to this band, i recommend listening to just about every song(:

  • huh... i didn't know i could masturbate with my ears.

  • This should be the official song representing the human race.

  • I don't like the first 30 seconds of this song, the rest is awesome =)

  • I'll never forget this was my daughters third concert with me (my daughters first concert with me was Depeche Mode and their second concert was Apoptygma Berzerk) and we were at the very front and Ronan kept talking to my daughters during the concert asking "are you girls having fun?" and my daughters were dancing next to me and singing VNV Nation's songs that they knew all the words to from me playing it in the car with them constantly. I was and am so proud!

  • @roxymuzick That is amazing dude!!! Seriously, that comment made me so happy- I am so happy for you and your awesome family

  • @roxymuzick How old are your daughters?? I can't wait until mine is old enough for this sort of thing! She is just almost 5....

  • @roxymuzick

... proud at what? XD.... dude you have low standards!

  • @KarySanger Think maybe he is proud that his daughter isn't miss trendy Justin Bieber fan is all.

  • @AdamTheGood

    As i said. Low standards.

  • @KarySanger He's proud of his daughters enjoying good music and having fun with their father its not "low standards" its sweet

  • @KarySanger if he's exposing his kids to great music like vnv , apop, and depeche mode, trust me this man doesn't have anything but high standards for his kids. i think he's just proud that his children aren't sheep who have fallen prey to commercial and heartless music.i think it's awesome that his children are the future generation of vnv and depeche mode fans. great music has no age limit.

  • @nikidoll82

You don' get it. Pride should correlate with personal challanges and unique achievements. If your freaking out about something as trivial as a concert you surely dont have high standards for your kids what-so-ever. ANYONE coulda done that. Happyess != Pride.

  • @KarySanger no i do understand. i don't think the dad's post meant that he has low standards for his children. i think it was just a tender moment he wanted to share with fellow vnv nation fans. i'm sure as a parent he has goals and aspirations for his kids just as all parents do.

  • @KarySanger

One could extrapolate from his original post that he is proud of his daughter for appreciation of quality music. Liking quality music seems to be a rarity anymore and could be something worth being proud about. I'd see it foreseeable that if my child decided to like quality music instead of the four cord songs i'd be proud of my child.

  • @roxymuzick you are a very cool dad, my parents took me to Take That and other commercial rubbish!

  • @roxymuzick Oh man, I wish my parental unit was as amazing as you! I would have killed to see Depeche Mode! :) Kudos to you and thank you for sharing. :)

  • @roxymuzick i'm so glad your daughters like GOOD music. you're an awesome parent.

  • @roxymuzick You're a very lucky (man?)

  • @roxymuzick

    You rock! :)

  • @roxymuzick You. Are. A kickass parent.

  • @roxymuzick

YOU'RE LIKE, THE BEST MOTHER EVER.

  • @Biopunked nice one mate

  • @roxymuzick OMG! I want a father like you :D!!

  • @roxymuzick My first concert was Depeche Mode, never forget it. Still haven't seen VNV though.

  • @roxymuzick how old are they? Lol, jk. but seriously.

  • @roxymuzick Hello, my name is Rick Hansen with dateline NBC, do you know where this Ronan is right now.

  • @roxymuzick omg you are an awesome dad!!!!!

  • @roxymuzick Now just turn them on to a little Jethro Tull, The Low Anthem, The Beatles, State Radio, and maybe a little Zoe Keating for a grounding in modern classical, and you will have given them a lifelong gift.

  • @roxymuzick pix or didnt happen. i keed i keed
