Video is epic, but the sound gives me a headache. Ive seen other people talking into the mic in other HTC Amaze 4g camera tests and their audio sounded fine. Wonder why?

The audio is bad on this phone, but the video is good. The audio is amazing on the Galaxy S2, but the video is worse and there are no hardware camera/video buttons. There's always a downside. :P

@Dani01c Know what you mean. I was going to get this instead of GS2 because of the hardware camera button, hardware itself & Sense 3.0, but I see it has the same choppy sound recording Sensation has. I'll just get the Sammie instead & enjoy a bigger/brighter screen, bigger battery, USB on the go, better sound & compatibility w/ AT&T, if need be, while saving $30. GS2 just looks/feels so damned cheap, though.

They don't spend a lot of money on good mics because that means we're going to be paying more for a phone with an amazing mic. @iMagineThis1 That's where your wrong. iPhone, Palm Pre and some Samsung phones have really good mics in them and still charged $199-$250 for the phone with new contract. HTC can do it, they just suck at keeping up with better technology. They use the same junk over and over which saves them even more money and still charge us the same price.

Either the video did no upload well to youtube, or the Amaze's video quality is not good. A pattern of pixels remains unjustified on the corners of this video. Kinda weird. The mic is terrible to say the least. I am a little surprised, judging from the price. I bet everything else about this phone kicks ass. :)

The vids I've seen with the Sammie have better sound than this. The HTCs seem to pulse at every syllable. They can keep their Beats Audio; just don't distort my voice.
