  • beautiful ! Om

  • @Chandrajyoti5

    thanks! Om :)

  • There is no personal god, but that never conveys there is no God at all.Looks like Mr.Gujju was caught between Buddhism and Advaita and concluded that there is no God as that was easier for his mind to perceive. It says that the whole existence is an illusion( which still has a relative reality) and the conciousness in all is nothing but Brahman. Brahman is beyond all distinction, prejudices and discrimination. Gujju, You can be an athiest but please don't claim that Sri Sankara was an athiest.

  • This shatakam or sixtanga poem, just says about omnipresent god,the one who exist in every being.some commenter mis understand or mixed with brihashpati sutra.get rid gujjo,hahahaha........

  • 6th Stanza.

I am all pervasive. I am without any attributes,

    and without any form. ,

I envelope all forms from all sides and am beyond the sense-organs.

Neither am I bound, how thence liberated

    Indeed am I auspiciousness,

    That auspiciousness alone am I

Iam None other than Lord Shiva

  • Nor death nor doubts nor any distinction of caste,

Relationless - neither father nor mother, indeed am I birthless,

Neither relations nor friends, neither a teacher nor a student,

    Indeed am I auspiciousness,

    That auspiciousness alone am I

  • Never do I have good deeds or sins or pleasure or sorrow,

Neither do I have holy chants or holy water or holy books or fire sacrifice,

I am neither food or the consumer who consumes food,

    Indeed am I auspiciousness,

    That auspiciousness alone am I

  • Third Stanza

Neither do I harbor aversions nor any desires, neither greed nor lust

    Nor intoxication nor jealousy,

Nor even am I the fourfold pursuits - wealth, passion, goodness, salvation,

    Indeed am I auspiciousness,

    That auspiciousness alone am I

  • 2nd Stanza

    Neither am I the life-breath,

Nor am I the five airs, nor am I the seven elements,

Nor am I the five sheaths that enevlop the soul,

Nor am I voice or hands or feet or anus,

    Indeed am I auspiciousness,

    That auspiciousness alone am I

  • 1st Stanza

Neither am I mind, nor intelligence ,

    Nor ego, nor thought,

Nor am I ears or the tongue or the nose or the eyes,

Nor am I earth or sky or air or the light,

    Indeed am I auspiciousness,

    That auspiciousness alone am I

  • @ramchiguru03

    thanks

    Shivoham ! Shivoham ! Shivohom !

  • sounds like you dont exist, never lived. cant understand the bull. god is all accepting, not rejection of, which seems like so much of in your translations. Maybe just bad translation.

  • god does not exist, thats what the song is about. there is no personal god. you are just deluding yourself if you belive in one. the reason it says i dont exist is because, this unverse is constantly changing, things are finite, the only infinite thing is brahman(A perfect state of being- not god)

  • @gujjucheap

    thanks

  • @gujjucheap

"God" and "not-God" isn't it the same? Isn't rejection the same as affirmation? You can't even say "not-God" without "God" :) How can the ultimate be explained in limited concepts and words such as "thing" or "no-thing" ? even the word "ultimate" is just a word, a concept a meaningless idea. :)

  • @gujjucheap god is both transcendent and immanenet, in His transcendent form he is the impersonal god or Brahma, in His personal form He is Krishna, Christ, God Incarnate, then again, there is nothing or NO-Thing that is not Shiva there is only ONE

Shivo-Ham translates to I AM SHIVA When you say Shivo-Ham, you are aknowleging your own innate Divinity and oneness with the Supremem Absolute , your real true nature is SHIVA

  • you have misunderstood the whole point. the only way to enlightenment or moksha is detatchment that includes detatching from notions of god. moksha is not a path to god. god does not exist. shiva is another word fo brahman or shunya. christ probably did not exist like krishna. but in the bhagavad gita krishna is SYMBOLICALY represented as brahman. there is no such thing as divinity, the reason people belive in god is down to desire.

  • @gujjucheap

Please dont take me wrong.... The vedas have expressed their inability to understand the Shiva-tattva....they simply call Shiva "Neti" which roughly translates into "not even this"..... everyone is free to form an opinion because Shiva does not have any "lobha" "moha" "ichcha" or "aahankaar".... But with this prayer, Shankaracharya was trying to disassociate Shiva from everything that has a "quality" anything that can be "defined" anything that can be "bound"....

  • @katieecat

    :)))))))))))))))

  • @katieecat

This what you see as "rejection" is the only true "acceptance". "God" as you speak of it is a concept... but the ultimate is beyond all concepts, negations and affirmations...

  • @katieecat Haha, no, it's challenging your idea of what YOU are. You are not the body, the mind, the intellect, the sense organs, the elements - all of which change. You are much more than that - the all-pervading, immutable consciousness. I believe some people call it a soul.
