Yup. SFIV uses a very primitive way of handling latency: it simply adds delay to all inputs. Sometimes in SFIV you get 10+ frames of input delay.
HDR uses a 'rollback' system of input syncronization like GGPO, where you don't have to wait for the other player's inputs. It basically masks latency by simulating the other player's inputs and rolling back to a previous state should these differ. It's brilliant, really. Since latency can't be eliminated, create the illusion of lag-free gameplay.
Damn I never noticed but in SF2, Sagat has a really annoying voice. lol And they really need to get the annoucers in SF series to sync because here it said something like Dhal-see and in SFIV it says Doll-Sim or something hahaha. (hard to type how they are said though but yeah) As well I believe a other couple are different in the games which are really bad XD Confuses me which is the right way to say it. lol

Lol, I love how there's a cop in the background, holding a dead chicken, while watching two people fight to the death.

Does HDR have better "netcode" then SF4??
I don't hear DSP badmouthing any input lag in these videos.
Jumpman3 2 years ago
It does. HDR's net is based off of GGPO's system, which is godly. Google GGPO, you might like it if you want to play fighting games online a lot.

Lol Sagat has such a high pitch voice in this game. He's all big and muscular, yet he has a voice of a schoolboy.
