solar, I would have t agree with Wheels here, no one hopes things will collapse but the only thing holding this thing up is government stimulus and I wonder how long that can last. I don't see how we can pay for our current entitlement programs, SS has no money at all just IOU's and SS has to have some this year to pay out benefits with those IOU's. Do you want a Fed Govt IOU, I do not. Some states are holding back on tax refunds, what else positive can happen here?

It's tempting to think that this simply didn't happen as this video is months out of date but let's remember something.
The great depression didn't really hit its worst until 1932-33 and then again in 1937+. Black thursday was just the match to the fire, it didn't start blazing immediatly.
Sure, this whole thing might get better, it looks as if it is but perhaps it will get worse? I, personally, dont' think that this is another big one but we are in for some very rough times.

That figure would correlate today as between 31-38 million unemployed. Currently we have an unemployment rate of 8.1%, which equals 12.5 million unemployed. You do the math.

I took a big mid-term test right now, and dont think I did too well. But this video makes me feel better because, "who cares" the economy is going to collapse in 2-3 years and most people will loose their jobs. At least I have skills that I can sell to people in times of emergency.

i had a platinum card with no balance....as i paid as i used it. well, mastercard canceled it on me without notice....saying that i didn't use it enough.

The credit card companies consider people they don't make interest income from "deadbeats". In other words, the most responsible people who pay off their credit cards on time every month will be cut off from certain credit cards, as you just experienced. Use your less-used credit cards a little bit if you want to keep them current. I've owned only one credit card for years.
