my mom had a 2009 nissan altima, and it was kind of a let down. it was absolutely great when we bought it new, but after 2 years, it just drove like crap. i have a 2003 honda accord coupe and it still drives like new. lots of road noise, and kinda slow, but like new.

a lot of people say this car is ugly, see it in person! This car actually looks very big, and sleek! It's a bit pricy, but it has a great interior and the engine with the 6sp is great. I've seen the altima coupe, it's smaller, interior is annoying with the red lighting, and I think people complain about rattles. I have the sedan, which may not look as nice, but it's luxurious as hell on the inside haha just try and say that about any altima.

the brake fade is so true for japanese cars in general. that's why I look farther than just so-called "reliability" and "build quality" of the japanese vehicles. in my view they are half-hearted attempt on what a car should be; but that's just one guy's opinion.
@xsnownedx I love the Accord, have an '07 but a Genesis 3.8? My favorite car, go for it. You have RWD, more power, and a much sexier body. Warranty can't be beat either. If you prefer smoothness of the V6 then Honda can't be beat.

VTEC Dosnt kick in till high RPM basicly i cant put that in good use. Altima I4 engine HP an TQ hit at lower RPM then Accord I4. Both cealy have the nearly same MPG an Weight. Reason i didnt went with Accord ???? Got a Civic to do a Honda job.

And I have a 1990 Nissan 240SX that I drive daily and drift on weekend. No Major problems. I don't own a Honda so I wouldn't know, and I rarely see old ones on the road.

@gunvsknife18 that's not true at all, the altima is built to compete with the accord as their pricing is similar. the civic competes against the nissan sentra as they're both cheaper economy cars. the maxima is just a bizarre car to make as it competes with another model by nissan, the maxima. but altima vs accord is the most fair matchup due to similar pricing

edmunds, it really depends on your perspective, you think the accord is quiet, but many people actually prefer a little engine sound to gain handling especially to these two doors 3.5 sport coupe. If you want the quiet comfort car, get the sedan or toyota. I hate edmunds reviews

My friend just trade his Honda for an 09 BMW 5Series because he too experienced problems with the Accord. I am still looking for a replacement car. I will drive the Accord until I find something else. I'm leaning toward a Volvo S40/V50. I like the Lincoln MKZ and Cadillac CTS (2008-up body). When I find something that suits my needs, I'll buy. Till then.... Accord it is! Cheers!

a lot of people say this car is ugly, see it in person! This car actually looks very big, and sleek! It's a bit pricy, but it has a great interior and the engine with the 6sp is great. I've seen the altima coupe, it's smaller, interior is annoying with the red lighting, and I think people complain about rattles. I have the sedan, which may not look as nice, but it's luxurious as hell on the inside haha just try and say that about any altima.

@numbernwords Not exactly they terminated production of the 2007 Hybrid Accords because the batteries were failing to keep charge.
Honda is so predictable with their line up oh wait every Honda out the States is actually an Acura or vice versa. Honda is making some ugly ass cars such as the Accord coupe (nissan altima/350z/infiniti g35 copy) or the Accord Sedan(Saturn)

I drove both in highway before buying here in Mexico, I bought the accord coupé v6 that is far far better than the altima coupé........unfotunately in Mexico both are sold only with AT...........even though both are fast, but accord is faster. I love my accord coupé and the ones that are talking shit about the honda are green with envy, I recommed you to buy an altima coupé first, or a least drive one.....amateurs...

@xsnownedx I love the Accord, have an '07 but a Genesis 3.8? My favorite car, go for it. You have RWD, more power, and a much sexier body. Warranty can't be beat either. If you prefer smoothness of the V6 then Honda can't be beat.

People buy tuner vehicles (coupe models) and then never do anything to them. All that potential performance completely wasted. I honestly dont understand why so many people bother buying V6 coupe and spending that much money to never make any major modifications. If youre going to buy one, and not mod it, you might as well get the I-4 Sedan Model.

@nissanboy1978 I got 2010 Altima coupe. Glad i went with I4 cuz gas price is too dam high.The 2010 Accord coupe they had cost over 26k an i got tha Altima for 24k. VTEC Dosnt kick in till high RPM basicly i cant put that in good use. Altima I4 engine HP an TQ hit at lower RPM then Accord I4. Both cealy have the nearly same MPG an Weight. Reason i didnt went with Accord ???? Got a Civic to do a Honda job.
