Good point; I think it was a lateral move considering the quality of Step by Step, and the audience for it.

But 'Step by STEP' was quite a long running show, and that afforded Sasha a steady paycheck, which I'm sure all actors crave. So by that standard, a step up for him, and a smart move indeed, because quite honestly, where else would he have been able to attain that kind of success?
