  • salam, bajia i tried ur recipe but it turned out little MUSHY. although i evaporated all moisture yet...saudi carrotr r a bit pale yellow in colour so look of halwa was also not so gud. all hardwork in vain!

  • Try this recipe out with dulce de Leche, it tastes so good you'll probably not go back to using condensed milk again.

    You can make dulce de Leche yourself, if not available where you live, by boiling an unopened can of sweetened condensed milk for two to three hours.

    I have never made dulce de Leche at home but apparently its is quite safe, if you let the can cool down to room temperature before opening it.

    Your concern for safety is perfectly justified but as long as the can is completely immersed in gently simmering water and it does not have any holes in it, you won't blow up your kitchen. Alternatively you can always make dulce de leche from scratch but you will have to stand and slowly stir for a long time.

  • @sweet4u2144 i am not sure how its made properly but you can make khoya as i have made with sugar and pista and a bit of essence

  • @Bajiascooking I once used 'Everyday powdered milk' with sugar and added some water to that (milk could be used too I'm sure) and microwaved that till it boiled...did it a couple of times till it became a bit dry and that tasted just like Barfi

  • @fkytfkyt, asal recipes to bohot had tak lapata ho chukeen hain. bohot mumkin hai tum theek ho. mujhey itna ilm naheen. ye bhi naheen ke meri kaunsi recipes milti julti hain. meri family Delhi aur Mughal touch rakhta hai. choonkeh hamare purkhon ka taaluq raha hai eak zamane main. waqt ke saath saath jaise jaise hajratain hoyeen, waise waise kuch to loog pichey se laye aur kuch unhon ne aaker apnaeen. ammi bata raheen theen mujhey ke mughals ne kaunsi chhez kahan ki apnai.

  • @12soni21, wo tha na eak kajoos us ke paas desi ghee ki eak gervi thi jo us na deewar per tang rakhi thi. jab wo dasterkhuwan per baith ker khana khata to niwala us ki taraf ko dikha ker munh main daal leta :) halway ki bhi tum eak tasweer tang lo :)

  • Salam Bajia ji, thanks for sharing such nice recipes. Following your way has made me a really good cook. I remember when I came here to New Zealand and entered the kitchen to cook something, I had to call my mum to ask her how to cook cuz I had never been to kitchen before for cooking. Anyhow your prepared food looks so yummy that sometimes I feel like flying to Australia and have a taste of your food :) A question about the recipe, can we use cheese instead of butter in this recipe?Regards,Ali.

  • @Soniyaasid Lasagne mujhey naheen aata. aur gaye jise ghaas mile wo kiyoon moti hoti hai ? wazan kam kerna ke liye khane ki miqdar sab se ziyadah count kerti hai. khana jitna bhi hai aur cut karo.
