that is mike tyson capcom changed the name to not gett sued. M.Bison(Japan) Mike Bison= Tyson also the changed balrogs name to vega because america capcom thought vega was too much of a woos to have the name balrog

Not true. Actually what happened was, the publishers of the US version made a typo error with the characters names, which we finally knew them being the people they are today. But Akuma and Gouki had no relation to that. They just decided to change his name on both versions.

balrog was god awful in campaign mode for SFII...he was the easiest special guy to beat and i dont remember every losing to him. I think the thai kickboxer before you got to mr bison was the toughest guy to beat in the game. Blanka was tough to. I was always Dalsim or the E Honda because Dalsim could avoid guys with his long limbs and E hona had the sometimes unbeatable turbo punch

he dosnt have any projectiles so he cant hit from far away and he dosnt have any air attacks so hes fucked if someone jump attacks

and hes easy as fuck too beat all you have to do is projectiles because he does that charge move alot, keep doing projectiles until he gets dizzy and he usally stands there and his only special move is that move where he charges in screaming 'arghhhh'

It actually stands for Mike Bison, which a play on Mike Tyson. Capcom changed it to Balrog in the US to avoid lawsuits and such.

In the japanese version the boxers name is M.Bison but in the US version they changed the names because M.Bison sounds too similar to Mike Tyson and they feared to get charged because of that.
