  • So is Billiards America's version of pool? When I searched Billiards Wikipedia told me a load of crap about 2 cue balls and 1 object ball. I just know pool and snooker.

  • @05Rachel What Wikipedia says is not "a load of crap". There is a game called billiards which you play with just three balls, sometimes on a table without pockets. Cliff Thorburn used to play it, I think.

  • @05Rachel billiards is playing with 3 balls and no pocket, dumb ass.

  • @05Rachel full name of that game is called "Three Cushion Billiards"

  • Strickland is such a poor sport!

  • im sorry but the old (announcer) guy should just retire. Either his eyes are off, or his brain is off. There were several times that he pointed something out that he was completely false about. I mean come on, at 34:50 he seriously thought he was going to try and cut that nine in as a two way shot? The power and english needed for that backwards cut would be so risky it would have been almost impossible without missing the 3 on purpose to make the nine. I know its an old video, i hope he retired

  • 49:03 IS THE BEST EARL RUN. he just flings the q around when he is down, "it is sad"

  • check this out .com/watch?v=80lrTvl5MbM

    (on youtube)

  • china vs my dick

  • lol

  • snore

  • @DyMannlich U madd? You're right though, I can never be as great a whiner and complainer as Earl is

  • Anyone knows what cuetec cue earl uses ?

  • @doughnutplate He dont use cueter cues anymore.

  • @doughnutplate he plays with custom 63 inch cue that weighs 23 oz made by mike gulyassy...

  • Billy Incardona's favourite word: "therefore".

  • Lots of talk about racks and balls, eh...

  • ๛,Ž้ึ,♂▬♂♀▼§↓↨๛-.

  • As good as Strickland is, he's never much of a come from behind player. It always seems that he stops trying when he feels he's down by a certain number of racks

  • @csxpert323 seriously im stopping reading bad comments about earl. he came back 1-4 in a race to 5 in an important mosconi match against tony drago (the player of the cup in the time). and he has done it many times before. strickland wont stop trying. he just knows how to play this game and how to win. thats why he's a super winner, multiple world champion and a legend and you are just an imbecile shit talking random hater that will never be even close to as great as earl is.

  • where are racks 7 & 9?

  • best game ever!

  • BEHAVE earl ! haha

  • ストは部屋着?

  • how much do pro pool players make on average?

  • Ok... Theres a whole bunch of rules but this is the basics to 9 ball... The balls are racked with the one in the front and the 9 in the middle. You break making contact with the one ball, then shoot the balls in the pockets in numerical order, from 1 to 9. The cue ball must make contact with the lowest number ball FIRST, then, any ball has to either be pocketed, or hit a rail. You dont have to call your shot. a scratch results in Ball In Hand for your opponent.

  • at 51:20 i wana tity fuck her

  • fantastic game! :D

  • such a waste in talent it makes me very upset that earl would just give up like that disapointment is all i feel after watching this match

  • Put the 9-ball in, you win. But you have to shoot the other balls in order.

  • @ScottMonsay wait but he skipped all the balls. and just went to the 9 ball

  • @AY2014 the rule is that youhave to hit the lowest numbered object ball on the table FIRST....if that ball you just hit then sinks the 9 ball, its all good and you win the rack

  • @Nico582a This is a game called 9 Ball. You have to shoot the balls in order 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and the 9 is the game ball. But you can win the game at any time if you hit the object ball (the next ball in rotation) then make the nine all in the same shot. For example... if the you make the 4 (the 5 ball is next) and the 5 happens to be close to the 9, you can shoot the 5 into the 9 and if the 9 goes, you win. Or you can hit the 5 then the cue ball can hit the 9 and if the 9 goes you win.

  • I like the way Strickland plays. He has an athletic appetite type of thing.

  • Earl talks about tennis like he plays it but that stomach tells a different story lol

  • Its the same all the time: stupid commentator says: He's is going to do bla bla and the players does the opposite....

  • @RayTX1337 Yeah, Jim Wych is a knucklehead but Incardona is a professional pool player, he knows what he's talking about.

  • 47.22 Cue up his nose. :-)

  • Earl is such a big baby

  • Comment removed

  • strickland ... incredible , bustamante kinda snook to much .. but 2 good players anyway ..

  • This Jim Wych guy needs to shut up and let the viewers actually hear the insightful commentary from Billy. An otherwise excellent broadcast, thanks!

  • @jrkevinfang yeah that jim guy is just trying to comentate like he knows everything and it is super bad, and he keeps on making excusis for earl why he gave up and him and his white towel.

  • @Winner1581 Visit upatour.com. The site has a lot of info about pool, to include the official rules with regard to both 8 and 9 ball. I hope this helps.

  • I don't understand. Why isn't it ball-in-hand once the shooter misses the 1st ball?

  • @voxximous because it's not a foul

  • boner @42:05

  • somebody can helpme? wht is the rule of this game? i don`t understand

  • @ferrevanessa 9-Ball is played in rotation starting with the lowest ball which in most cases is the one ball. u don't have to call the ball u wanna pot or the pocket you're aiming for. the player who pots the 9 is the winner. Another way to win is the 3-foul-rule which means that you can put ur oponent into trouble with playing "save". when he makes 3 fouls in a row it is a win for you.

  • man, i love this game and i love 8-ball but now i feel like playing it and there's noone to play with! fuck!

  • the technique these guys use is just horrific :s i don't understand how you can become so good when your technique is this crappy... compare this to snooker and you will see my point (before i get crapped on by all the americans on here, no disrespect intended)

  • @mikael123defloor u would be surprised to see that snooker players cant perform on the pool table... the 2 games are different, each unique in their own way, u cant just compare them like this

  • @TommyEinstein i love playing snooker, but i don't often get the opportunity, most of the times, there are only pool tables available. i find that (though i never made a break over 60 in snooker) pool is a lot easier when u are used to playing snooker. i usually pot 5 or 6 balls in a row at 8ball (we almost never play 9ball, though i prefer it because it's a bit harder).i find the snooker technique i use to be very efficient. i think they get away with a sloppy technique because o/t table-size

  • Take the 'Fastest Clearance Challenge' at konkura.com

  • A real game of snooker any one

  • Snooker ftw!

  • @NottinghamForest22

    Snooker FTL!

  • What is the rule of this game ?

  • @Nico582a The player has to pocket the 1 to 9 in order to win

  • @Nico582a do everyhting perfectly, all the time, always, give up and play tennis

  • @Nico582a hit the lowest ball on the table first, get the 9 in, scratches mean they can put the ball anywhere.

  • @Nico582a

There are rules but it is also subject to EXTREME luck

I prefer 10 ball as the break doesn't provide so many opportunities. hehehe

  • @Nico582a Put the 9-ball in, you win. But you have to shoot the other balls in order. OR, you hit the lowest ball into the 9, causing it to go in.

  • @Nico582a Aim: Pot the 9(highest number on table) by hitting the lowest ball on the table. Plus, there's something else about potting the lowest balls on the table first etc. Google it.

  • @Nico582a

Hit the balls in order 1-9. You must hit the lowest number ball on the table first, before it touches another or you scratch. Once the 9 ball is sunk, the game is over as long as you dont scratch on the shot. When you rack, you rack in the shape of a diamond. 9 in the center. If you hit the ball and dont sink it, it has to hit at least two rails or you scratch. (unsure about how many rails on the last rule, im pretty sure 2 though)

  • @Nico582a

every turn you always have to hit the lowest ball on the table first, and if you make a ball in you get to go again. whoever knocks in the 9 ball wins the game. if you fail to hit the lowest ball first, a foul has occurred and the other player is rewarded with "ball-in-hand." in the first game no one has a good shot for a long time so they perform a series of "safety shots" trying to force the other player to make a foul.

  • @Nico582a pot all the balls or the 9 ball first using the target balls that are in numerical number, so if the 1 ball is still on the table, you have to hit that ball before any other. If the one is potted already then you move on to the 2 etc... first one to get the 9 ball in wins. that's the basic idea at least, I'm just a noob lol

  • Comment removed

  • @Nico582a As far as I understand you're supposed to pocket #9 while hitting the lowest numbered ball at all times.

  • @Nico582a its 9 ball..in case you not know american aint a di only pool exist......

  • brilliant game by Bustamante but poor sportsmanship from Strickland..... no champion goes without a fight but he just gave away the game...

  • The commentators must get paid by the number of words they use since they blather on when they should just shut up and wait till the shot is made. Billy Incardona doesn't seem to live in the same universe as these guys.

  • Well Strickland is definitely the best 9-ball player that ever lived. You gotta recognize that he's most of the time playing his B or C game and he's still hanging around in the last 16 or 32 of the US Open like there are only a bunch of beginners.

The overall best player on the world - well that's easy: Efren.

  • In all honesty I truly believe Earl could be the most superior player IF he could only control his temper and just stay level headed and calm throught his pool game. Busty, Efren, Alcano, Mika, Shane...all just tremendous players but when Earl is calm and on song....NOBODY can beat him..its too bad he gives into his emotions way too easily...the guy just doesnt have the heart of a true champion. Should never give up like that....

  • Such a great match. Bustamante is my favorite player by far!

  • Fransisco is one of the most feared 9-ball players in the world, because he makes babies cry.

  • @patrickdickesonsmith he sure is ugly enough to make most people cry

  • Respond to this video... this video is pissing me off, there are two racks that are completely skipped!!!

  • @TheStinkNasty Commercial breaks. Sometimes racks go by in that short of time.

  • Comment removed

  • its amusing that earl would insinuate tha bustamante isnt manly because he doesnt smash the break yet ear wears a glove because he doesnt want his hand touching his cue. a nan wouldnt want anything between his skin and the cue. a little bit of powder is not gonna kill anyone or make them dirty. it brushes off, but hey, i am old school

  • strickland is a child. . .

  • @TheJayjay25 so are trolls like you

  • and seriously, even if snooker is a superior sport, so what???does the argument get you anywhere other than to overcome your insecurity??? this is a childish argument like comparing apple and orange. it's your personal opinion and keep it to yourself. in other words. grow the f**k up.

  • ask any snooker player to execute the shot at 42:43 , and we shall see why pool and snooker are different.

  • i also think pool is better than snooker but snooker is way harder to play, that was the discussion.

  • 666 likes .... very nice :)

  • @prosatan actually its 669 learn to count dumbass

  • @MrJconnor2

    You idiot!

    666 WHEN I WAS WATCHING!

  • neither of you gave an answer to the question I was asking. @Conzo798 he is a competitive man - no doubt about it - he is not a 13yo sitting in front of computer and writing "I would be beat you if I wanted but I'm not in the mood today". Believe my he would be very pleased to become world champion in pool.

@ fdgto I have tried it and it is a different game. The problem with snooker is that putting white on the other side of the table is usually safe enough in pool nothing is safe.

  • reyes stel the best................

  • ok just one question for all you guys who claim snooker is much tougher than pool.

How come Ronnie O'Sullivan isn't crushing 9ball tournaments? He is the best snooker player isn't he? How come he isn't crushing the "game with pockets with size of buckets?" Yes he plays pool, but rarely wins against top pool players. Same goes for Steve Davis.

  • @r4f43ll You can answer that question by trying snooker yourself. Not just the table is way bigger but the balls are way smaller and the pockets too. I can play pool quite well but i tryed snooker and i really suck at it. You have millions good pool players but only a few good snooker players. Hope you try it some time, than you will see the difference.

  • @fdgto the safety game in snooker is relatively easy compared to pool...snooker sucks dick...pool rules :D i bet even the best snooker players would give up on a game such as bank pool one pocket or rotation!!!

  • @red88alert i disagree, i love pool too but i know a lot of snooker players and they are far more talented than any pool players i know

  • @rampskater0102 i disagree too but the thing is not the fact that snooker players are more talented or vice versa...its just your opinion :D in the end they are two different disciplines and mastering all the pool disciplines is just as hard as mastering snooker...

  • @r4f43ll He probably spends too much time laughing at how easy it is.

  • @r4f43ll yes thats true but at least he has a good go, if you put a professional pool player against a professional snooker player in a game of snooker then the pool player wouldn't stand a chance which all snooker players do when playing pool

  • @rampskater0102 thats not true at all. there are plenty of pool players that are very good at snooker, and vice versa. for some reason though, you have some complex and feel like all pool players are poor cueists and you are far superior as a snooker player. this is a very flawed logic, and honestly you sound like a silly kid arguing whos dad is stronger.

  • I love to watch Earl losing. He is so funny when he's pissed.

  • 48:11 pool stick is picking Strickland's nose! :O

  • how do u hit the cue ball on 13.54

  • Players of snooker play on larger tables with smaller pockets. The same is true of pool on 9' to 7'. However anyone worth their salt knows the additional distance is often beneficial to the game. IOW certain aspects of the game are, get this, EASIER on a larger table. And the games? 70-100 existing games on pool tables, like 10 on a snooker table. I know of only 8, but I assume a couple more. So the question is, is the hardest pool game harder than the hardest snooker game? Who the fuck k

  • @espresso747 snooker is more difficult the players are more skillful that s y it looks easy

  • Awesome match. What's with all the snooker vs pool arguments? Is there much comparison, really? I'll throw out some facts, though.

    1) Pool table vs snooker table: obviously a lot of distance added with ze snooker. However, less distance and bigger pockets doesn't equal easier. Because of games like 14.1 and 1 pocket, which can equal or surpass snooker in shot count, the ball positions are increasingly difficult to deal with. In snooker you need only pot a cherry and a number to score, an

  • @espresso747 i play pool and snooker and everyone who i play with agrees positional is harder in snooker

  • @espresso747 All to do with experience I guess. It would probably be the same the other way around.

  • Great match

  • When the pockets are the size of buckets, how can these guys miss!!???

  • @teamfab because the balls are the size of boulders

  • I'm a pool player myself, a good but not a professional one. I've played both 8 and 9 ball game and occasionally snooker. On the pool table i have a lot of run outs but when i faced the snooker table, with it's narrow and unforgiving pots it was something else. :) Maybe i'm not the best example but all my friends and pool partners think the same.

  • why he wears on both hands gloves and not only on the left one?

  • @TheSaRiG77 The glove on the hand with the cue is a baseball glove. He's what they call a nonconformist. :)

  • I'm a lover and player of both pool and Snooker. But there's no question that Snooker by far the most techical advanced of the two, in skill, thinking and ability. Pool is more enjoyable, entertaining and easier. Snooker takes real dedication and passion to master. Anyone can look ok on a pool table.

  • @angels77100 No offence but people who say that snooker is superior to pool actally have a limited knowledge of the game and billiards in general. Each discipline has it's subtleties but there's much more creativity , feel and control involved in pool whilst in snooker all u have to do is lear how to be a robot , stand still on the shot , God forbid u try any side spin and do u'r best to avoid any difficult situation on the table sice u don't need to clear the table to win.

  • How many pool players did you see on a snooker table in a major competition? Well, I have seen the "anonymous" snooker player Ronnie beating the great Earl on a pool table I think at the Mosconi Cup. That says a lot to anyone who has what it needs to think.

It's obvious that pool is a far more popular game than snooker. That's because is easier to play an it needs a smaller table and less skills (even in maths :D) to play it. But to be a great snooker player you need more accuracy and control.

  • @poijolh I totally agree with you. To be a great Snooker player you need to have amazing angle and ball co-ordination, plus the ability to think well ahead of your opponent. Ronnie O' Sullivan is one example. I wouldn't bet against Ronnie losing at pool even up against one of these players. But I remember a number of years ago when Steve Davis was still in his prime, he got slaughtered at pool by a pool player.

  • @poijolh That's because pool players have enough sense to understand that they can't win at a discipline they don't practice. Snooker players on the other hand think themselves above it all. Only TOP snooker players enter pool tournaments (only 9 ball wich is the "easier" of pool games). Ronnie beat Strickland at 9 ball in a race to 3 wich is a joke in pool. In open play snk players can pull a rack (they're potting machines) but against a difficult situation or a long race they're nill.

  • look at the trick shot earl does in the ad at 29:12. when he starts the shot there are 2 balls on the rail by him. when hes done the shot they're gone. lolol

  • /watch?v=isR41fTHHb0 <- Pro vs. noob pool match.

  • earl is badass but hes a sore fucking loser here... and the commentators wtf have they never seen bustamante play before? they are fuckin up bad underestimating the best of the best

  • he is strong

  • strickland looks really tired u can see the bags under his eyes

  • O bye the way were is danny I like him at least he knows what he's talking about.

  • I hate Billy Incardona he's a know it all. I wish jimmy would give him a slap in the head and tell him to shut up.

  • Nice battle. Impressive second game for Bustamante

  • omg have you seen how big those pockets are

  • @williamtyson147 HA THEYD BE SHIT DOWN THE SNOOK SON...

  • @pistolpeeroy

Snooker? You mean, that straight shooting piece of shit sport that doesn't allow bank shots or jump shots?

  • @williamtyson147

Have you seen how curved your fucking snooker pockets are; even a rock could be pocketed.

  • @MirageBistro HUH?! DO ONE SON, IM NOT EVEN WASTIN MY TIME....

  • @pistolpeeroy

Hey son, if you prefer snooker so much, why don't you bet your dickballs on a game against a professional pool player?

  • @MirageBistro "hey" son'?! bit gay aint it?

but id quite happily take on any professional pool player at snooker.....part from Reyes...!

  • @pistolpeeroy

At snooker? With those curved pockets? Are you fucking kidding me?

  • @pistolpeeroy

    Gay? What is that?

Face it, SON, snooker isn't any better because the pockets are as small as your butthole. The skill it takes to jumpshot on pool is equivalent to anything complex on the snooker table.

  • @MirageBistro have you ever played snooker ? can you play (if you've played it)? i think you have an anger issue i was simply suprised at how big the pockets looked.

  • @williamtyson147

Why should I bother with such a limited, crass, and dumbed down game? What I want to see is STUNTS. There are no STUNTS in snooker. It's an old man's game. It's the kind of fucking game you play when you lose your balls...like PISTOLPEEROY down there. Sad story, man.

  • @MirageBistro HA DO ONE WILLIAM, JUS CAUSE YOU YANKS CANT QUITE GET UR HEAD ROUND A REAL CUE SPORT...

ANY1 CAN PLAY POOL, EVEN MY LIL SISTER...

  • @pistolpeeroy

I say again, a real cue sport has no limit. Snooker has tons of 'em. Snooker is for people with class. Pool is more a casual game. Neither are superior to one another.

I enjoy watching Pool because I see alot of mathematical stunts on the table. You don't see that on the snooker table.

  • @MirageBistro YOU STARTED OFF SO WELL SON, THEN U WENT TO CHATTIN SHIT AGAIN. POOL IS A PUB GAME, PLAYED BY PEOPLE DRINKING, NUFF SAID....

A CLEAR UP ON A POOL TABLE TAKES VERY LITTLE SKILL (MAYBE ITS JUST ME?) BUT A CLEAR UP ON A SNOOKER TABLE IS 100X HARDER. TYPE SNOOKER EXHIBITION SHOTS N TO SEE WOT I MEAN AS OBVIOUSLY YOU UNAWARE OF SNOOKER...

  • @pistolpeeroy

    ?????

That still doesn't explain the fact that snooker is nothing but child's play. The shots you make are dumbed down to make the best out of the oversized table and pussy shaped pockets.

What the **** do you mean unaware? I've played snooker several times, and I wasn't even permitted to take a jump shot. What a crass game.

  • @pistolpeeroy

    "PLAYED BY PEOPLE DRINKING"

Look @ the video above. Are people drinking?

Both games are played in pubs. Both games, strive on gambling. Stupid excuse.

  • @MirageBistro MOST PUBS/BARS HAVE POOL TABLES, YEH OR NO? OBVIOUSLY PROFESSIONAL STANDARD DOESNT, BUT SURELY THAT WENT WITHOUT SAYIN?!

HOW MANY PUB/BARS HAVE SNOOKER TABLES?! SORT UR LIFE OUT SON...

  • @pistolpeeroy

If you use your brain, you would know that the issue of pool/snooker depends on what country you are from.

  • @pistolpeeroy

Besides, why play snooker when there is no money in the game? Who would want to pay for a game that requires NO BALLS to play?

  • @MirageBistro

Ignore the troll. This pistolpeeroy thinks snooker is the best, when he doesn't know how hard it is to play pool on the Diamond Table.

  • Comment removed

  • @MirageBistro THERE IS NO MONEY IN SNOOKER?! HA, WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP N YOU GET 150K, MAKE A MAXIMUM YOU GET 147K ON TOP. SO A GOOD TOURNAMENT CAN GET YOU 297K, NOT TOO MUCH MONEY ISIT, DICKHEAD,....

  • @pistolpeeroy

I'm talking about the lower tier tournaments, you tool. During the IPT tournament in 2006, reyes won 300000 dollars in installment.

  • @pistolpeeroy

Where are your facts? Championship my ass. The last time I went to New Pakistan, the only people enjoying snooker were oldfag veterans in tweed suits.

  • @pistolpeeroy

    LOLOLOLOLOLOL.

You idiots don't know what real pool is. For idiots like you, 9-ball = pool. Go watch one pocket games, or 3 cushion games, snookerfag.

  • @pistolpeeroy

Sort what out? You think we play pool for a living? LOLOLOLOLOL. Trust me, kid. Pool is a game that takes less than 10 minutes to sort out. Snooker takes a lifetime of...boredom.

  • @TheChristwire TRUST ME, KID, SNOOKER MIGHT TAKE YOU YANKS A LIFETIME DUE TO THE LACK OF SKILL AND INTELLIGENCE YOU YANKS HAVE. DONT GET ME WRONG, KID, I DO LIKE POOL BUT TO SAY ITS HARDER THAN SNOOKER, YOU REALLY DO NEED TO SORT UR LIFE OUT.

TO CLEAR A SNOOKER TABLE YOU HAVE TO POT 36 BALLS CONSECUTIVELY, ON A MUCH BIGGER TABLE WITH SMALLER POCKETS. IN POOL (9 BALL) DONT YOU JUST HAVE TO POT 1 BALL ON A SMALL TABLE WITH MASSIVE POCKETS (THAT TAKE ANYFIN)? WHAT A GREAT GAME...

  • @pistolpeeroy

What the fuck is this shit? Pool is not about pocketing your balls. It's HOW you pocket the ball.

  • @pistolpeeroy

    What the heck?

Snooker takes a lifetime because the game is so slow, you'd be 80 years old by the time the game is finished.

Pool IS harder than snooker on the higher levels! Why? Because of the choices that are available to you.

    "TO CLEAR A SNOOKER TABLE"

Idiots can clear any table. To be able to cross bank, jump, rotate, cross rail a shot, is what the spectators are looking for. It's all about playing the position.

  • @MirageBistro ON MY GOD SORT UR LIFE OUT SON, U AINT GOTTA FCUKIN CLUE..

NEVER ARGUE WIV FOOLS, SEE YA......
