kick arse also do yanks just get to buy guns when they want or have ya got to get licences for them coz i live in the shity north east of the shite uk and nice vid mate
Would you recommend a Glock 19 gen4 over a gen3? A lot of the things I have read say that the gen 4 has some issues with ejecting shells and such. I did shot one last week, and noticed that it was throwing the brass straight back at me, which was kind of annoying. but that could have been on me.. I'm looking to purchase a Glock 19 soon, and was hoping you could give me some advice on which generation to get. Also, if you cover this in the video, sorry for the unneeded comment.
Why did glock try to change perfection? If they have a perfect gun why change the mechanics ie spring strength? just change the stipling and call it a day LOL
@jigsaw183 If I remember correctly, they had to change the spring configuration in their 45cal(?) model (Can't remember which Glock that is exactly), to the dual recoil springs. So they also changed the springs in the 4th generation Glock 19 to simplify the manufacturing process.. Again, I could be incorrect.
Thank you for taking the time to do this demonstration right. I purchased my glock 19 gen 4, and I depended upon the reputation of glock. I haven't had a gun ever that at some point didn't jam. I've also learned over the years (and you mention) that the ammo is a big factor. Cheap ammo gives cheap results.
What better way to film a glock with some sexy HD. Hickock i love your vids. Compared to other channels i find yours a lot more entertaining as opposed to feeling like im taking a class. Picking up my first Glock when i get back to the states.
I've found Blazer Brass to be one of the best factory rounds for the money. I almost always use the brass for my reloads. They offer 350 rounds for $100 at some box stores...
Hickok, great quality vids!, THE FOOTAGE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. I purchased a gen4 9x19 on 1-16-2012(Nevada), fired 400+ rnds out the box using winchester white box 115g and American Eagle/Federal 115g, ZERO FTF or ejection issues i.e. hitting you in the face, 043 spring, 30274 ejector, (2)factory tested rounds dated, 11-14-2011, saying that my cousin has FTF numrous times(baby eagle & gen3 9m) using 1000rnd fiocchi bulk purchased online, its the ammo, like fireworks, some are just duds im assuming.
My Glock Gen. 4 has been nothing but a huge problem. The hard-earned money I paid for this handgun takes me a very long time to make. Teachers do not get paid much. Glock further disgraces themselves by making me pay the high fees and shipping to get the faulty ejector and other parts replaced. Call me crazy, but I will still carry Glock handguns.
My Gen 3 OD Green Glock 27 has NEVER failed me after thousands of rounds. Thank you for the video Mr. Hickok.
'born under the wrong star' LOL. I just found out today that Glock is voluntarily replacing all of the Gen 4 RSA's except for the 26 and 27. Haven't had any problems with the 03 spring. We'll see if it makes a difference.
just got a glock 17 a couple months ago, wish i would of saw you're videos before i made the decision to buy the glock 17, i now wish i would of bought the glock 19
Just because someone puts up a video showing how reliable something is, it doesnt mean that, the person didnt make many other videos and pick the one video in which the product works flawlessly. When I shoot my Glock 19 GEN 4, sometimes it doesnt start jammming untill after I put 200-300 rounds through it which means I could do a video only showing you just that. THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE
@ Bteamhooligan, who told you they fixed the problem? Im not not just bashing Glocks for fun and Im not the only one out there having problems with the GEN 4. Its just really hard to trust Glocks judgement at this time.Did you speak to gaston Glock himself because you sound you know the man personally. If I was having any peoblems with any of my other firearms I would definitely let people know about it because I wouldnt want them to make the same mistakes or spent their hard earned money on it.
If you look real close at around 9:40, the first shot he takes when aiming for the gong out in the distance, I believe that is a left ejection up over the gun and off to the front. Can anyone else see that, or is my vision playing tricks on me? I have heard about some of the erratic ejections, but have also heard that Glock has now fixed this. I am planning on buying my first handgun and really want a Gen 4 19 or 26 for range/defense, I just want to make sure I am making the right choice.
From my experience.... Ive had trouble with rem umc. Ive got a Beretta 92F and we were shooting Federal just fine, and the first mag of the umc was jam after jam after jam. All stove pipes and FTE's. I dont think it was from the gun getting dirty.
@m4master100 When I had my P239, I put a few different cases of ammo through it, WWB by Olin, Fiocchi, Federal, UMC; I've always noticed UMC had noticeably less felt recoil than anything else I've shot as far as 115 gr 9mm goes.
hey, great videos.. i want to buy glock 17 or 19 (thats more likely, coz i dont have that big palm) and what i want to ask... the empty cartriges are ejected in very unconsistent direction. Sometimes not that far as it should, sometimes not to right but up or to back! what is the problem? what it causes? can it be fixed? did glock fixed it? or should i buy Gen3? is that ok? And finally, in 2012, is the recoil spring ok now? would you recomend Gen4 or Gen3? thank you
@ 2ndamendrights... You sound like a bitter little child throwing a temper tantrum. Maybe you should go outside and kick the neighbor's dog or better yet, when your daddy gets home, get him to take you to the store and buy you a new air soft pistol of your choice...not one of those nasty worthless, no-good Glock's, cause they have problems (at least that's what you read on the internet would be my best guess). Uh-oh, I can hear your teeth grinding, quick, grab your beretta , I meant keyboard.
Hey 2ndamendrights... I heard of a beretta malfunctioning one time somewhere or something. I guess I should go bash every beretta I can find on the internet....oh wait I gotta life!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@Hickok45, If the G19 GEn 4 is so great then why the recall? I had to send mine to Glock so they can replace the ejector on it after replacing the recoil spring just a couple weeks ago. I think the GEN4 sucks,I have 2 beretta and a sig sauer 220(45acp) and have no problem with any other of my firearms. Untill they replace that problem, I will keep on bashing Glocks every chance I get
@2ndamendrights, I appreciate your doing that, because maybe it will be easier for me to find the models I want on the shelves in gun shops. They have a way of getting scarfed up before I get there. :-)
Thanks for the video, it was very insightful. I purchased a gen 4 and noticed I have the 0 3 spring. I usually fire the Remington 115 grain, but have fired 150 rounds of the federal through it. I have not had a feeding issue, stove pipe or any other type of malfunction. I fire sig's and a Kimber 1911 as my carry firearm, but I love and enjoy my glocks just as much.
Not sure if you can answer, but will the Gen 4 give me a shorter trigger reach than say the Gen 3 Glock 19.
I shot about 50 rounds through a G19 gen 3 and I'm afraid my hands are too small, it's like my finger just gets on the trigger safety/trigger but with that, my right hand thumb slides out of place on that left side thumb grip.
i just purchased a gen 4 glock 19 and it is having consistancy issues. i've shot glock 17s and i have a springfield XD. both guns shot very well. but my new 19 is all over. i wouldn't say that it's not my technique but since ive such good luck with other guns i just couldn't immediately credit my poor shooting in this case. it doesnt eject consistently ether. very sporadic and many just ooz out. i wonder if glock will be able to help me out with my problems.
I like your style... I'm sure you have thousands and thousands of rounds through your generation 3... have you tested these cheap/light/target rounds through it? Can you conclude that the generation 4 is perhaps slightly more "finicky" on ammo? I have found my Gen 3 Glock 19 to be 100%... all I shoot is the cheap stuff. Have you made some of your metal targets? Nice video quality with the newer camera. You are my favorite on YouTube. Keep it up.
@xBossAwesomex, I've shot it several times since doing the videos. The only malfunctions I've had were with the early videos. AFter I shoot it some more, I might test it again with whatever the worst / weakest 115 grain 9mm is to see if I can get it to malfunction with some of that stuff. I really don't care, though, if there's an occasional malfunction with the worst, weakest ammo. For the spring to work better with normal powered ammo, I guess it HAS to just barely perform with light stuff.
@hickok45 Hello. my question is about my glock 17 not 19. When i rack the slide, it squeaks . i understand glock like to run dry, but do you think i should oil the spring a bit? because im quite sure thats the culprit... thanks?
New Glock's should not fail. I don't know if you were limp wristing, work for other gun companies, or born under a wrong star, but now you do know someone that has had problems with a glock, you. I mean no disrespect, I love your vids and think your the best on youtube.
when i field strip my glock 19 gen3.sometimes the firing pin is protruding out of the breech face in the fired position.sometimes it is not.it is in the unfired position.is that normal?it seems like it should be consistent each time the gun is field stripped.
UMC has been weak in every gun I've ever shot it through. I'm no expert and I've only been shooting handguns for a few years, but I've put 115 gr and 124 gr UMC through Berettas, Glocks, Sigs, HKs, 1911s chambered in 9mm, XDs and some Walthers. It's always caused some problem in any gun I've shot it in, usually a failure to eject. It's just weak ammo.
And I don't own all those guns I listed, most of those were rentals or while shooting a friend's pistol, so they were fairly broken in.
I have a glock 17 gen 4, with an 03 spring, and have pretty much only shot a variety of 115gr FMJ practice ammo. i have about 1500 rnds through it with no problems. Lucky i guess
what a great run down! I bout mine about 20 days ago, and have 500 rounds though it already, the last 100 were walmart federal, and it seems after the break in they will even shoot that federal with no problems. I love my 1911's but this glock has def. made me a believer! great videos!
im going to be working for loomis armored soon and i going back and forth about getting the glock 22 or the 23 gen 4 my question is what grain ammo should i use
ive shoot the 23 gen 3 and the recoil was bad and i wasnt shooting straight i hope
the 23 gen 4 is better on recoil whats your view on this
In one of these videos you mentioned the kind of lube that you use on your Glocks but I couldn't understand you. What kind of lube do you use? Great videos by the way. I ordered my first Glock 19 earlier today.
I really want a Gen 4 Glock 19, but I have heard a lot of horror stories about the new ones having feeding problems. I'm sure that a company like Glock is already working on solving these problems, I just want to be sure that they get all of the bad ones off the shelves before I buy one.
I purchased my Glock 19 gen 4 in January 2011. In February 2011, I purchased a Glock 26 as a CCW EDC pocket gun. For many years my pocket gun was a Charter Arms Bulldog 44 revolver, and before that S&W 38 bodyguard. I never would consider carrying a cocked chambered handgun, No chambered Glocks. My every day carry guns are double action. S&W Body guards, 380 and 38. Today I purchased Aug 2011 a Bersa 380 thunder D/A S/A. My 3 Glocks are fine, but not chambered in my pocket. D/A is a safe action
i have been thinking about getting one of these for carry option... i like the double recoil spring... not that i am recoil sensitive, but it is an added plus. with all your shooting of this, do you feel it is safe to bet your life on the gen4 or should i give it more time before buying one. been hearing mixed reviews.
@dp665 The Gen 4 is fine, if the double recoil spring turns you on. The Glock 26 and 27 have double recoil springs and are better carry guns. The mixed reviews are yesterday news, Glock has a lighter spring that answers all the questions. My 26 is a gen 3, my 19 is a gen 4 my 23 is a gen 3. Yes they all work fine. I only carry the smallest gun. Usually a S&W 38 snub,or S&W 380. I never carry Glocks chambered, my choice. The 23 and 19 home security. The 26 I carry at times, unchambered. Go4it
It occurs to me that if the 115 grain doesn't shoot well in the glock once in a while that it could be an opportunity to practice clearing drills as you shoot.
@SmokeRingsPipeDreams The 115 work just fine, maybe one in a 100 not fully chambered just hit the magazine bottom I shot over a thousand rounds in Glocks, Beretta, Bersa, With the # 03 spring when my 19 gen 4 was brand new two out of two hundred did not fully chamber I hit the magazine and it went home. Switched to the #04 spring and a thousand rounds with no problem. The 26 never a problem, and the Beretta twice slide did not lock back on empty, all was inconsequential. 115 fine, Gen 4 fine
Why do you prefer 147gr over 115 or 124? I guess that 145gr have more recoil. As I am new in target shooting, I didn't understand if gen4 has more or less recoil than gen3. Why is have the double spring? What's the benefit?
Can I shoot plus p rounds through my gen4 model 19? Id like to use gold dot 124 gr. plus p for evry day carry but some people say no. help me out here.
Hey I enjoy your videos, do you think you could get your hands on a Walther PPQ and do a review? I'm interested to see that new trigger in action! Thanks and good shooting.
I have a Glock 19 gen 3 I couldn't hit a barn with. I tend to just keep it in the safe and shoot my S&W 586 instead. Watching you shoot a Glock makes me realise it's probably operater-related, so I 'll just get it out again and practice some more with it this friday on the range. Love your channel!
Hey Hickok, just wanted to let u know that I've been watching ur You Tube videos for some time now and I'm a big fan of urs. U seem to have a vast knowledge of different types of Fire Arms, as do I. But despite my vast knowledge of them I've only recently applied for my Hand Gun License. Thankfully I was granted it and the very first Handgun I purchased was the Glock 19. So yeah, I'm another Glock lover just like u. lol Hope u keep making videos buddy, cause I'll definitely keep watchin them.
Thought it would be interesting to see some bullet weight Math. We know from conversion factors that 1 gram = 15.4 grains and also 1 gram = .035 ounces so in 9mm bullets if we take the 147 grains minus the 115 grains we are left with 32 grains. The difference of 32 grains is about 2 grams or .07 ounces from our conversion factors. Approximately about a difference of 2 grams or 7 hundreaths of an ounce, which ever you prefer.....
BTW excellent videos Sir. I have been a subscriber for a while now. You just have a pleasant demeanor and tone, you are a great shooter, and now your guns inside out.
Thank you for your efforts.
Kudos to the camera man and his excellent camera work
I also noticed something with this Glock. The ejection pattern is random and some eject to the left. I have this issue. Some brass hits the face. This is not typical of glock either. Many have this ejection to the face issue. What do you think sir?
My gen4 it's giving me trouble. New LWD extractor and gen3 recoil spring assembly (with adapter cup) on its way. Sheesh have to spend more $ to take a new Gen4 back to Gen3 standards. It's been discussed on GlockTalk that the extractor making process was switched from machining to MIM. This causes tolerances to be much looser and some extractors may be out of spec. Also, double spring RAS is not necessary for 9mm.
@santaslayer22 Oh, yeah. lol Trust me, I Believe that I would Dominate also. lol And that ain't me Boastin or Braggin, I'm just Very Confident in my Abilities. ;-) But to Clear something Up...... that isn't me Shootin the Gun in this Video. lol Thats Hickok45. And Yes, like u I also Think that hes One Hell of a Shot and I'm a Big Fan of his!
HEY Hickok45 i was wandering im 11 and i really love the glock 19 do you think that would be a good beginner pistol? p.s.I LOVE YOUR SHOWS AND I AM EXPERIENCED WITH THIS GUN BEFORE! () AND I KNOW ALL THE SAFETY RULES

I purchased my Glock 19 Gen 4 in January 2011, It was Factory proofed in August 2010. It had a #03 spring factory installed. Originally I had read so many negative Gen 4 reports it frightened me. My experience has been all the negatives are B/S or illusions? The #03 worked just fine,The # 04 spring works fine,It seems they now have a #0-4-1 spring? I shoot a hundred rounds of Win,Federal Walmart 115 each time at the range flawlessly. about 600 total. No problems. Glock Gen 4 Rocks. B/S sucks.
@iLikeToitools Who cares about limpwristing? It's a glock and any combat/duty gun should be imperviuos to limp-anything. Under stress when rounds are being fired your way, you may very well be limpwristing the heck out of your gun running for cover while shooting. Not an acceptable excuse by any parameters.
@XportXpert Uhhhh no, you are very wrong. Why do you think they put such heavy triggers on police sidearms?
Due to the fight-or-flight response, your body will exert much more force than it normally would. Under extreme stress like that, limpwristing is a non issue. That same response is what enables offers to empty a 15 round magazine with a 12 lb. trigger so fast.
And quite frankly, if your idea of an SD round is winchester white box then you deserve to have the gun jam on you.
@iLikeToitools I never said WWB was my choice of SD! I love it when ppl take the liberty of putting words in my mouth. Maybe I'll put something else in yours, lol
@iLikeToitools Uhh, right above you dummy. Quoting you "And quite frankly, if your idea of an SD round is winchester white box then you deserve to have the gun jam on you."
Ring a bell. Enough of you now, I'm checking out of this conversation. Have a nice day sir.
Hickok45, Why do you shoot 147gr in 9mm? I use corbon 115 gr +P in my 19. Do you the that is a good home defense round? Or should I shoot a heavier gr? I love my gen 3, but I am currently saving up for a gen 4. Can't have to many g19's in imo :)
I'm definitely a convert! I bought my first glock yesterday the G19. I have an HK and a Sig but was shocked at the smoothness and lack of recoil from that 04 spring. I have the glock factory sights on the G19 but the 3-point sights on the HK and Sig. I shot soooo much better with the Glock sights. I need to conver the other three point sight to the in-line sights. Shocked, shocked, shocked.
I do not think that he does actually he may have even said in one of his videos that he does not own a glock 17 because many people feel the 4 inch barrel is plenty big enough.
i have shot 200 rds of speer lawman 115 gr out of my gen4 glock and its not had any malfunctions mine also has the 04 spring in it you should go to lonewolf and get a jentra butt plug there out now!!!!
good video thank you..im going to purchase the gen 4 19 this weekend..and yes umc is shit ammo for hand gunsbut ive never had a problen with thier .223 ammo.
@hickok45 good day sir.. im a police officer here in the philippines.. and i just got a fa issued last week, a glock 17, but it was engraved a USA on the slide not AUSTRIA, is there any difference between the two> (USA made glock and Austria made glock)?tnx in advance

I have a question for you. I have a muscular problem and guns with great recoil may cause me to exasterbate my condition. Is there any type of load you would recommend for this? I understand there are "low recoil rounds" available but I figured you may have come across a round that would work quite well in your testing. Normally, I would go for a .22 But, I want to get a gun that I will be able to use as I get my strength back. Let me know what you think.
@kgarvey100 , Depends on how weak it has to be. A .22 Magnum might be a choice, but 9mm would be better if it's not too strong. Maybe buy some subsonic rounds that are meant for a subgun. They would not be as effective, but they would recoil less.
@kgarvey100 I have a mild form of MD which makes me sensitive to recoil. While I can handle 115 gr and 124 gr weights on defensive rounds, I find that Magtechs 95gr solid copper HP in 9mm recoils significantly less than the 115gr and 124 gr. I'm not sure how effective they are at stopping perps. But like everyone has said, shot placement counts. Try the Magtechs.
@kgarvey100 Generally the heavier the weapon, the less perceived recoil there is. While the .45 is a sizable round, in a full sized 1911 the recoild feels less than it would in a Glock or other modern polymer pistol. Likewise, with the 9mm being smaller, I am hearing many good things about how fun and stable 1911's in 9mm are to shoot, and am considering buying one. You'll find the same goes for rifles as well - Bull-barrel .223's are stable as can be, and a lot of fun to shoot.
I have had rounds from that umc that came with the bullet .5 a cm lower into the shell than all the rest and was able to bull it apart by hand. so I wouldnt doubt your got some weak rounds
All the complains I read about Gen 4 seems like BS, i got a Gen 3 and a gen 4,'They are simply steels and plastic man made devices. One no better or worse than the other. My gen 4 loves 115 Walmart ammo, and that's all I fire. #3 spring or 4 spring they all do fine. I see one orange hat complaining about ejections, and another calling it shit, and another saying ejection to short? Give me a break, its a gun. I feel sorry for Glock having to satisfy everyone. Glocks rock,Gen1,2,3,or 4. Get a life.
Hi lets talk about first hand experience, My Glock came with a 03 spring, shooting only Walmart 115 not recommended by glock, or Hickok, My Gen 4 loves 115 Walmart. i have the 04 spring also, and My gen 4 super loves 115 Walmart ammo with the 04 spring. Reading a bunch of Gen 4 fixes, I racked the 03 spring 100 times, and left slide back two nights. God its not a pair of shoes needing a break in? It loved 115 walmart with the 03 spring, and it still loves it with the 04 spring.
Glocks have NO PROBLEMS DISCHARGING, at all. Who came up with that now? The majority of complains were? it didn,t eject far enough? the slide didn,t lock back of last shot? maybe a complaint about extraction?
You pull the trigger and it DISCHARGES, just fine, Glock f/up saying it was combat pistol not a Target pistol. And promoting only 124 9mm.And many recommending a breaking of 300 rounds etc? Get real, its a gun, and shoots 9 mm,not special 9mm. Mine loves Walmart 115, as it should.
Glock gen 4 is 150% reliable, none have failed to fire, even the complainers, never said my gen 4 does not shoot? knocking probably the most innovative, reliable hand guns ever made, makes no sense, just nonsense.
Buy one rent one shoot one, before making unfounded conjecture.Glocks discharge just fine. Whether 115 walmart or Gold plated 147 Gold dot.My assumption is 65% of US cops, and probably the entire world is not stupid,Glocks discharge just fine, glocks rock, especially Gen 4 Glocks.
@surfside006 I own a Glock 23 Gen 4, it has never jammed or had problems discharging no matter
what ammo im using whether its from wally world or kmart. My Glock 23 fires flawlessly, PERIOD!
However, many Glock 19 Gen 4 have had an issue with the "03 or 04 spring". There isn't a company out there that produces perfect products whether its Glock or Nasa. All Im saying is that Glock should fix this issue so they
I bought a 26 gen4. I wish I had bought the gen3. It shoots great. But it is ugly now that I've compared it to my buddy's gen3. The backstraps look terrible, unlike the ones on my HK. The abrassive grip does not feel good against my skin when I appendix carry. The mag release button is obnoxiously big. If you're a lefty or have large/tiny hands it may be for you. I wish I'd have gone gen3 however.
I spent hours at the store trying to figure out whether to buy Springfield XDM or Glock 19 Gen4. Ended up going with Glock and I couldn't be happier. It came with the 04 spring. 300 rounds of 115g and no problems so far. Thank you for the great videos, I hope to shoot as well as you do some day. Any chance of you doing the slide cleaning video with a little more light and close ups?
hey hickok i've decided on picking up a glock 19 but i would like your opinion on choosing between a gen 3 and a gen 4... The different grip sizes aren't a big issue for me either way, just would like to know how they compare as far as functionality.

Hey Hickok45, Not to make you sound old or anything but I sure wish you were my grandpops or something. Ill tell my mom hey Im going to grandpops house. Then she will answer... you going shooting again..Ill tell her yup. LOL
Update,Update, I received my Glock 19 Gen 4 number 04 spring today as promised by Glock. Will see next week how it does, Just a insight, the 04 spring racks MUCH more lightly. I shot both my Glocks this week, and I can not remember recoil at all all 40 shots within 8 ring.Although not close to Hickok I was 3 in the Police academy. and 3 in my department. By the way I purchased 6 holsters and decide the Gl 26 is best in my pocket. They look good though.A pocket holster works best, Life is good.
Just called Glock again, to check on status of my # 04 spring Glock position is that the #03 spring is a COMBAT SPRING. Just common sense, one cannot differentiate between combat and target practice. I was a cop and to say we could only COMBAT and not practice would be ludicrous. We had to qualify monthly that's target practice.
We shot reloads38 wad cutter reloads, and my duty weapon was a 357. loaded with 38 HP super Vel lots of departments restricted 357 duty rounds.Hope the 4 spring in mail
Another Glock 19 Gen 4 comment I just purchased 1000 rounds at Walmart Winchester White Box, Federal,Remington, three different manufacturers. all 115 gram no way am I going to go back to Walmart and say? Glock sez I can.t shoot Walmart ammo, that's a joke.In January I debated a Glock? or a Rugar?
I choose the Glock for a reason? REPUTATION.By phone Glock promised me a number 4 spring, and I fully expect them to honor that promise. I Purchased both a 19 and 26 in January 2011. And expect good.
To Be real serious? it definitely appears that the number four spring 4appears to answer the question the questions about Gen 4 malfunctions. Lets be real I have a box of 124 Gold dot HP for a dollar twenty a bullet$25 dollars 20 round box. Lets be real Walmart Federal is $10.50 for 50. or about 20 cents a bullet instead of a dollar 20 a bullet, I just shot Sellior Beloit 115 purchased for 20 dollars at the range and still had one malfunction out of 20. With a number 3 spring. So Glock its 4.
My 19 appears do do well, both with the 3 or 4 spring, very minor FTF hit mag and it fed. I like the 4 spring better, but it works with either. All cheap Walmart 115 no problem at all. Federal no problem, win white box no problem. So many posts of problems, don't hold up for me. For conceal carry, the 26 makes more sense.
I just renewed my GSSF membership Friday. And I held in my hand a gen 4 19..It's more than likely going to be my next "toy".
I have a glock 32, but my hands are a bit small, and i get a "bite" on my trigger finger. SO MUCH that I have had blisters!! so gen 4 with the different back strap are very appealing to me..whats your take on it??
kick arse also do yanks just get to buy guns when they want or have ya got to get licences for them coz i live in the shity north east of the shite uk and nice vid mate

If they have a perfect gun why change the mechanics ie spring strength? just change the stipling and call it a day LOL
jigsaw183 3 days ago

Once again, Thank you.

Hickok.

Thanks for the video, it was very insightful. I purchased a gen 4 and noticed I have the 0 3 spring. I usually fire the Remington 115 grain, but have fired 150 rounds of the federal through it. I have not had a feeding issue, stove pipe or any other type of malfunction. I fire sig's and a Kimber 1911 as my carry firearm, but I love and enjoy my glocks just as much.
hatehasalullaby 2 months ago

D/A is a safe action

i have been thinking about getting one of these for carry option... i like the double recoil spring... not that i am recoil sensitive, but it is an added plus. with all your shooting of this, do you feel it is safe to bet your life on the gen4 or should i give it more time before buying one. been hearing mixed reviews.
dp665 6 months ago

SmokeRingsPipeDreams 6 months ago
@SmokeRingsPipeDreams The 115 work just fine, maybe one in a 100 not fully chambered just hit the magazine bottom I shot over a thousand rounds in Glocks, Beretta, Bersa, With the # 03 spring when my 19 gen 4 was brand new two out of two hundred did not fully chamber I hit the magazine and it went home. Switched to the #04 spring and a thousand rounds with no problem. The 26 never a problem, and the Beretta twice slide did not lock back on empty, all was inconsequential. 115 fine, Gen 4 fine

How many bullets does the Glock 19 magazine take?
TeeBee997 8 months ago
Thought it would be interesting to see some bullet weight Math. We know from conversion factors that 1 gram = 15.4 grains and also 1 gram = .035 ounces so in 9mm bullets if we take the 147 grains minus the 115 grains we are left with 32 grains. The difference of 32 grains is about 2 grams or .07 ounces from our conversion factors. Approximately about a difference of 2 grams or 7 hundreaths of an ounce, which ever you prefer.....

I also noticed something with this Glock. The ejection pattern is random and some eject to the left. I have this issue. Some brass hits the face. This is not typical of glock either. Many have this ejection to the face issue. What do you think sir?
XportXpert 8 months ago
My gen4 it's giving me trouble. New LWD extractor and gen3 recoil spring assembly (with adapter cup) on its way. Sheesh have to spend more $ to take a new Gen4 back to Gen3 standards. It's been discussed on GlockTalk that the extractor making process was switched from machining to MIM. This causes tolerances to be much looser and some extractors may be out of spec. Also, double spring RAS is not necessary for 9mm.

B/S sucks.
surfside006 10 months ago
@surfside006 I think the problems with the 03 spring were from using underpowered loads like Winchester white box or limpwristing.
But yeah, the 03 spring was designed to reduce recoil/reliably feed SD rounds and it does that very well.
iLikeToitools 9 months ago
@iLikeToitools Who cares about limpwristing? It's a glock and any combat/duty gun should be imperviuos to limp-anything. Under stress when rounds are being fired your way, you may very well be limpwristing the heck out of your gun running for cover while shooting. Not an acceptable excuse by any parameters.
XportXpert 8 months ago
@XportXpert Uhhhh no, you are very wrong. Why do you think they put such heavy triggers on police sidearms?
Due to the fight-or-flight response, your body will exert much more force than it normally would. Under extreme stress like that, limpwristing is a non issue. That same response is what enables offers to empty a 15 round magazine with a 12 lb. trigger so fast.
And quite frankly, if your idea of an SD round is winchester white box then you deserve to have the gun jam on you.

I do not think that he does actually he may have even said in one of his videos that he does not own a glock 17 because many people feel the 4 inch barrel is plenty big enough.

@hickok45 Hi Hickok,
I have a question for you.

@hickok45
Thanks for the input I appreciate your help. I'll see if I can test out some subs as I'd like to have a heftier round than a .22.
Thanks again.
kgarvey100 11 months ago
@hickok45 do you think the G19 woul be a good hybrid range/CCW? and how cheap is 9mm to reload(per round) thanks in advance for any reply.
M0RTaLK0MBaT68 6 months ago

Get a life.

THERE ARE ALOT OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE 19 GEN4.... RECOIL SPRING. CLOCK SHOULD RECALL THE EARLY ONES OR SEND OUT A 04 SPRING TO ALL BUYERS
LUVMAGNUMGUNS2 11 months ago
@LUVMAGNUMGUNS2
It loved 115 walmart with the 03 spring, and it still loves it with the 04 spring.
surfside006 11 months ago
I like glocks, but all I gotta say is if I carry a firearm its gotta be 110% reliable.
These Gen4 with the "03 or 04 spring" have a major issue with the discharge.
Glock has to fix this.
AMKfoo 11 months ago
@AMKfoo
Mine loves Walmart 115, as it should.
surfside006 11 months ago
@AMKfoo

All Im saying is that Glock should fix this issue so they
can live up to their reputation.

I wish I'd have gone gen3 however.
piche2001 11 months ago
Why do you prefer 147 gr over 115 ?
splinterman9 11 months ago

So Glock its 4.
surfside006 1 year ago
@surfside006
Love them both.Glock is great.
