Haha, she kicked those silly old sexist Sumo wrestlers in the face. (Sumo used to be like that back then, it was kinda sexist like most sports) Girl Power!
Like the look of this one, Trevor - very quirky, nice colourful graphics and love how it switches from platformer to shoot em'up with a bit of driving and almost beat em' up style action in the process! Really like the atmospheric music from the swimming/diving section too :)
Yeah that music from the underwater level is almost trance inducing ;-) This is one of the better PAL titles for sure and it seems that it wasn't westernised in any way at all which makes it quite unique. Only downer is that it can be pretty expensive on eBay nowadays :-( Thanks mate
cool man!..the original Keio on the MD-CD is one of my prized games..seems the same cool art style is here and almost identical music.Just gotta get past all that platforming fluff eh ;)
Hey mate ;-) I'm afraid its mostly platforming fluff that you get here ;-) I initially thought myself that it would have being better if the game remained a shooter like the MegaCD title but the platforming shenanigans really grew on me. Its a great remainder of those classic 16-bit platformers.
Thanks Ash ;-) Not heard of Lomax so will check that out. Keio 2 is a pretty decent game all round. Surprised it was picked up for a Western release at all.
Fun looking game. This is defiantly on my list of PAL Saturn games to get. Quick question. What is the most valuable PAL Saturn game? I always assumed it was either Panzer Dragoon Saga, Deep Fear, or Mega Man X3.
There's quite a number of PAL Saturn games that go for big money nowadays. Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Swagman, Street Fighter Collection & Shining Force 3 are pretty valuable games to have in a collection along with those you mentioned. You also have Keio 2, Mr. Bones, Dragon Force & Guardian Heroes. PD Saga is the most expensive PAL Saturn game I purchased & would probably be my most valuable PAL title if I were to sell it on.
Yeah unfortunately the game tends to be expensive on eBay nowadays. Its a pretty unique and interesting game though as far as PAL Saturn releases are concerned. Its amazing that it actually got a PAL release at all when you think about. I'd say its worth picking up if you get the chance. Thanks mate ;-)
Great video! I heard some good things about this game, but I always thought it was kinda like Parodius and Cotton (not that's a bad thing :) ) never knew it also had platforming segments. Thanks for uploading!
Thanks very much friend ;-) Keio 2 is primarily a 2D platformer with the odd shooter level thrown in unlike the MegaCD game which was purely a shooter. The game is quite nice, reminds me of the old 16-bit platformers. Thanks for watching ;-)
Hey man ;-) No problem, I've being wanting to put up a vid on Keio 2 for a while now. Gotta admit that I didn't care for the game too much at the start but the more I played it the more it grew on me. I'd say you're best bet would be the JPN version. Should be cheaper and easier to find than the PAL version. Thanks man ;-)
Hey Mike ;-) Keio 2 is definitely full of charm. The platforming sections are pretty enjoyable and the shooter sections add some variety. Its a little expensive but a very addition to any Saturn collection. Thanks man ;-)
