Why do people use the hammer over the gaia cleaver? I read that gaia was the strongest weapon for presea but in all of the youtube videos of her soloig, everyone uses the hammer... x_x
@talesfangirl because Abyssion is harder to solo because of Time Stop, some characters have better combo possibilities, every character have hi-ougi and Japanese Abyssion = Win.

I think this is the only 'solo vs Abyssion no damage' video I've ever seen that isn't some dirty, cheap and nasty ass endless combo crap that blocks Abyssion from even fighting back.
AT 0:29 normal mode abyssion, assuming he has the same defense as this one, would've died. Look at the damage from the combo. Holy shit, I love hi-ougis.
I have never seen any of these skills, or the sliding pictures when they use a skill. Is that japanese version only or do I just suck at the game? I played it like 12 times.
As for Presea's Hi Ougi (the one with the cut-in picture) is for Japanese version only.
Although, Lloyd, Collette, Genis (and Sheena, Sheena's is basically the same as the Japanese version one except without the cut-in picture (Summons)) do have a Hi Ougi.

A lot of skills Presea uses in the beginning are things I've never seen before either. For example, Abyssinion uses someone that looks like Ground Dasher, but it's black and white.
Abyssion basically copies Kratos/Zelos', Lloyd's and Genis' Hi Ougis. Kratos/Zelos' aren't in the English version but Lloyd's and Genis' are.
As for the timestop, it's basically the same as using an Hourglass but instead of it being an item it's a spell. I'm not sure if he uses Timestop on Mania in the English version though, so I can't tell much about that. =/
As for Presea, that's Punishment fused with Wind (Japanese only too if I'm right), Lv 2 S-type of Destruction and
And that IS Ground Dasher. When Abyssion uses Timestop everything turns black/white except the one who casted it and his/her party members (& dead people). So when Abyssion casts Ground Dasher while Timestop is still on, it turns black/white.
well i have a Gamecube Version and i Unlock The unknown Mainia Wii version this abyss boss battle is bit harder you must be lvl 100 90 to deafeat this guy and i only know i only use Falcon`s Crest on lloyd i don`t know how to use their other Mystic Artes
@yoshi12335 You don't have to be any lvl >___> If you suck you can be lvl 100. other wise with an AR you can fight him and win at lvl 1 though it would take a couple days seeing as you would do one damage. Strategy >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Levels.
How did you make Presea do that move at 0.25, I've never seen or read about it before, is it like Indigant Judgement, Rising Phoneix and Holy Judgement?
@asndarknessdragon Thats why its never worked for me before (GC version) if I knew the PS2 version characters could do that I would have gotten a ps2 rather then a gc, oh well it looks cool:D

Well, the animation for all the Hi-Ougis in Symphonia 2 pretty much suck.
As far as damage goes, Hien Messhoujin is supposed to be a super secret desperation attack that has by far the strictest requirements to activate it out of all the Hi-Ougis in Symphonia (especially compared to her 'normal' Hi-Ougi, Reppa Enshougeki), which is why it is the strongest move in the game.
at 1:44 I dont understand what is that spell for what does it do??? after that I see that Abyssion casts ground dasher but it doesnt do any damage, I have the gamecube version so that is why im asking this
The spell is called Time Stop, it makes the enemies of who cast the spell freeze where you are, but Presea froze in the air, so Ground Dasher didn't hit her.

Have Beast (Shikoumetsuryusen) at least 200x used - everyone else is dead - Presea in Red HP - Have Mighty Charge as Ex-Skill and press X until "Ex-skill effect" appears - then use Beast.
Wow :D It´s really hard to beat Abyssion in Mania in the PS2 VersioN! I only played The GC Version in Mania and thats hard! But this must be even harder when Abyssion uses als Hi Ougis!

Is it just me, or does everybody find that the battle system from the original Tales of Symphonia is harder than the one from Dawn of the New World? The free roam thing in DotNW kinda ruined it for me.
I do find this one harder, but I did like the free roaming in DoTNW. Although that did make it easier too. What really killed that game for me was how the original cast got completely screwed. The only one that was still able to hold their own in the end was Lloyd. But even so once I had the old members back I stoped playing as Emil altogether. Ah crap.... I've gone off track now >.>. Point is ToS2 fails when compared to ToS1.
Yeah. Another thing that ruined it for me was that I couldn't play as any characters from the original cast at all. I was looking forward to ditching Emil for Lloyd/Zelos but it never happened.
Same, except I managed to get by with Lloyd. I've even been able to solo the final boss with him. But you need to be really careful about it because one mess up and you're screwed.
Yeah. You just can't have them in the player one slot. To play as them you need to switch over to them during battle. I think you press the C button to switch when you have the battle menu up, I can't remember and my Wii broke :(.
Lol yea. I think my SSBB game did it. But I saw it coming. Took 6 months but it finally happened XD. What really sucks about the whole thing, aside from not being able to play my Wii, is that the warrenty had just expired not too long before it broke. What a perfect time for it x.x But great job. I wish I could play ToS2 again and try those battles again. Would have had it fixed long ago but I can't really waste any money at the moment.
That's weird. People keep saying that their Wii malfunctions after player Brawl after a while. Good thing I didn't buy Brawl. My friend has it and I tried it. I really didn't like the way they nerfed the characters and battle system, especially Marth, which made me and him lose interest in it in the first place.
Lol yea. I love the game, which is why I kept playing it. But the reason why it's breaking the systems is because they made the disk thicker then other games and it causes the system to work harder then it should to read the disk. At least that's what I've heard is the reason.
Namco rocks - although the english version DID get annoying after a while .. Came Clarke was the only good VA .. Ok, Jennifer did an Ok job as Shihna, but once I heard Akemi .. WHOW!! *_*

Seriously, when I faced Abyssion on Mania my team was at full health litteraly. Some how, when he casted Meteor Storm, my whole team got killed. Like "ah ah aha ah!! x4. Man it was soo mortifiying..
Luck is needed for Abyssion not to use Tiger Rage on you. Tiger Rage is almost impossible to dodge, it has to be pixel perfect, hit box perfect in order to avoid it.
its not luck, its called timing and skill man. There is a way to study the timing of ur enemies and watever falls upon you so he was very careful where to step so that none of the meteors would hit him in meteor storm. He too knew when to move out of the way becuz of his specials or "hi-ougi" whichever u prefer =P.
srry to ask is just that i like presea and want to know how to be pro with her :p, also mi punishment does not connecto to mass devastation like in this vid, and also does the pow hammer weapon (dont really remember the name of that weapon xD) has something cuz many videos use it instead of gaia clever
If you were to equip Presea with say, emerald (giving her wind power), her Punishment is somewhat upgraded, but still being a Lv 1 Tech, and Mass Devastation is simply a Lv. 2 Tech, hiwch is why he could do Punishment>Mass Devastation.

If you don't want people to spam you, then don't make such retarded and naive comments! You can tell that it's not a unison attack, because the unison attack meter DOESN'T go down. Also watch his other vids, where the so called "unison attack" isn't used until the end.
If you haven't found it yet, you need to have all the other ones, talk to Abyssion at Flanoir and he says he doesn't know where it is. Go back to Hakoneisa Peak in Sylvarant and talk to the old man in the house.

At the beginning he overlimits with Presea, uses a jump attack and then activates Limit Over/Over Charge ex skill so he can use Hien Messhoujin.
The 15 hit combo at 0:48 is Normal Attack x2 -> Shippuuressen (PS2 exclusive) -> Mass Devastation -> Endless Infliction

@otakutaicho It's Presea's second Mystic Arte/Hi-ougi, Hien Messhoujin or Crimson Devastation. This is only present in the PS2 version of ToS.

They had to cut things out of the game because the disks were too small (also a reason why the game has 2 disks and on the PS2 version just 1 disk)
Special cutscenes, costumes and even most of the Mystic Arte (these special attacks like Hien Messoujin) were taken out

Is it just me, or does everybody find that the battle system from the original Tales of Symphonia is harder than the one from Dawn of the New World? The free roam thing in DotNW kinda ruined it for me.

I do find this one harder, but I did like the free roaming in DoTNW. Although that did make it easier too. What really killed that game for me was how the original cast got completely screwed. The only one that was still able to hold their own in the end was Lloyd. But even so once I had the old members back I stoped playing as Emil altogether. Ah crap.... I've gone off track now >.>. Point is ToS2 fails when compared to ToS1.

Yeah. Another thing that ruined it for me was that I couldn't play as any characters from the original cast at all. I was looking forward to ditching Emil for Lloyd/Zelos but it never happened.

Same, except I managed to get by with Lloyd. I've even been able to solo the final boss with him. But you need to be really careful about it because one mess up and you're screwed.

Yeah. You just can't have them in the player one slot. To play as them you need to switch over to them during battle. I think you press the C button to switch when you have the battle menu up, I can't remember and my Wii broke :(.

Lol yea. I think my SSBB game did it. But I saw it coming. Took 6 months but it finally happened XD. What really sucks about the whole thing, aside from not being able to play my Wii, is that the warrenty had just expired not too long before it broke. What a perfect time for it x.x But great job. I wish I could play ToS2 again and try those battles again. Would have had it fixed long ago but I can't really waste any money at the moment.

That's weird. People keep saying that their Wii malfunctions after player Brawl after a while. Good thing I didn't buy Brawl. My friend has it and I tried it. I really didn't like the way they nerfed the characters and battle system, especially Marth, which made me and him lose interest in it in the first place.

Lol yea. I love the game, which is why I kept playing it. But the reason why it's breaking the systems is because they made the disk thicker then other games and it causes the system to work harder then it should to read the disk. At least that's what I've heard is the reason.

Namco rocks - although the english version DID get annoying after a while .. Came Clarke was the only good VA .. Ok, Jennifer did an Ok job as Shihna, but once I heard Akemi .. WHOW!! *_*

Seriously, when I faced Abyssion on Mania my team was at full health litteraly. Some how, when he casted Meteor Storm, my whole team got killed. Like "ah ah aha ah!! x4. Man it was soo mortifiying..

Luck is needed for Abyssion not to use Tiger Rage on you. Tiger Rage is almost impossible to dodge, it has to be pixel perfect, hit box perfect in order to avoid it.

its not luck, its called timing and skill man. There is a way to study the timing of ur enemies and watever falls upon you so he was very careful where to step so that none of the meteors would hit him in meteor storm. He too knew when to move out of the way becuz of his specials or "hi-ougi" whichever u prefer =P.

srry to ask is just that i like presea and want to know how to be pro with her :p, also mi punishment does not connecto to mass devastation like in this vid, and also does the pow hammer weapon (dont really remember the name of that weapon xD) has something cuz many videos use it instead of gaia clever

This is the ps2 version.
If you were to equip Presea with say, emerald (giving her wind power), her Punishment is somewhat upgraded, but still being a Lv 1 Tech, and Mass Devastation is simply a Lv. 2 Tech, hiwch is why he could do Punishment>Mass Devastation.

If you don't want people to spam you, then don't make such retarded and naive comments! You can tell that it's not a unison attack, because the unison attack meter DOESN'T go down. Also watch his other vids, where the so called "unison attack" isn't used until the end.

If you haven't found it yet, you need to have all the other ones, talk to Abyssion at Flanoir and he says he doesn't know where it is. Go back to Hakoneisa Peak in Sylvarant and talk to the old man in the house.
