Theres a YouTube clip of a 30 lb Honey Badger killing a Rock Python. The bigger the Python the more lethargic it gets. Carnivorous animals prey on them all the time no matter how big the Pythons are. I don't know why people always use the excuse of "Well it's not a large Python".
@makouria1 Those animals are far bigger than a Tiger....But, if it's an ambush attack (for a meal), there have been accounts of Tigers killing brown bears (not just juveniles either). As for a polar bear; a polar bear is 1500lbs or so, a tiger may be like 400-500lbs. On top of that, their respective ranges don't intersect. No point in discussing it but obviosuly a polar bear is just enormous so it wouldn't look too good. Unless of course, it's a siberian tiger that weighs 700lbs or so.

Honestly why would a python wanna attack something so vicious as an adult leopard & can weigh 180 lbs? There are plenty of other more suitable preys around. Most of large snake's diet consist of rodents, birds, lizards, and small mammals..sometimes pigs & antelopes but thats just about it. Animals DONT have an ego problem like humans, they dont go around beating on other animals as strong as them just 2 have something 2 brag about. They hunt & kill in the most efficient & logical way!

Whoever you are, you are absolutely right. A pythonis just as likely to steer clear of an animal such as a tiger who has the weapons and strength to fight back. They would not probably like canines piercing their head, razor sharp claws slicing their skin / scales and would more than likely settle for a meal that wont fight back such as a pig, rodents, etc. Pythons are tough but they arent interested in taking a beating to secure a meal. Same goes for a Tiger.

Well, if that's true, then I can say I've heard of both getting the better of each other. I have a friend with relatives in Kenya, and she once told me on a visit there that she actually saw a 14-foot rock python killing a leopard. This was no cub either, it was a fully grown, mature animal.

How convenient to make up an imaginary friend from Kenya just to support your claim. How about if I had a friend from Peru and told me that he saw a jaguar killing a 18 ft anaconda? No matter how big the snakes are they wouldnt risk attacking such large & dangerous animals such as big cats. As big as they can get their diet mainly consists of rodents, birds, and sometimes small antelopes. If youre reptile experts then youd know Im not ssaying bs.

Honestly why would a python wanna attack something so vicious as an adult leopard & can weigh 180 lbs? There are plenty of other more suitable preys around. Most of large snake's diet consist of rodents, birds, lizards, and small mammals..sometimes pigs & antelopes but thats just about it. Animals DONT have an ego problem like humans, they dont go around beating on other animals as strong as them just 2 have something 2 brag about. They hunt & kill in the most efficient & logical way!

And snakes often kill whatever they can find, and if the prey happens to be a leopard, well dude, learn to deal with it. Besides, I wasn't there! I cannot answer everything what happened. I just know how snakes hunt.

Whoever you are, you are absolutely right. A pythonis just as likely to steer clear of an animal such as a tiger who has the weapons and strength to fight back. They would not probably like canines piercing their head, razor sharp claws slicing their skin / scales and would more than likely settle for a meal that wont fight back such as a pig, rodents, etc. Pythons are tough but they arent interested in taking a beating to secure a meal. Same goes for a Tiger.

well young snakes are bigger than them Lol... but yes they doesent normaly or atleast i havent seen them attack and full grown. but they have killed snakes that are like 7-10 feet long wish are bigger than them.
