For the record......Dumas Walkers was a small package store not a bar in Moss TN, a tiny place close to where these guys are from. You couldnt get a slawburger or fries there. Ski maybe. Didnt sell liquor just beer and maybe snacks and such. The guy in the first of the vid in the red cap and red shirt shooting marbles on the pool table is Dumas Walker. He has since died. The package store has been several different things, has been added onto since his death and is now a Mexican bar.

Ye Gods this brings back memories! I discovered the Headhunters when I was 15, after a review of Pickin on Nashville intrigued me. Actually finding a copy of the album was a chore in itself, as the local record shops didn't stock anything more obscure than Lynyrd...

Finally hearing the album was, Aaahhhh... It spoke to me like nothing I'd heard before...

'Course, as a 15yr old Brit, all my friends thought I was crazy...

Known for it's true red neck atmosphere, unfortunatly it burned down a few years ago. The interesting thing was that 'ol Dumas Walker himself was "the marble king" who made a local sport out of shooting martbles in the back of his bar, just like the vid shows, true story...

I just saw these guys perform at the Marion (ohio) Popcorn Festival. GREAT SHOW!!!! That drummer killed it tonight w/ a 15 minute solo. They even met the fans and gave autographs... I got mine. Very fun night!
