the beatles were gone and by 71 even classic rock was left wanting.. the stones and the who remained at the top and zeppelin of course still masters.. but besides bands like pink floyd the arena for metal of any kind was declining. acts like cat stevens were on the rise but aside from him very few possessed brilliant skills. then along comes 'harvest' and 'after the gold rush'.. for a few years neil saved pop rock and us all until 74 and bruce.. for many too late as disco seeds had moved in.
